Been to Bangkok, about 30+ times on business (3-4 days visit) and so my perspective there, is very different from what a long term stay person like yourself might encounter. Besides it was before the smart phones and google made it a cinch to chat with even someone from Timbuktu!

Coming back to your riposte, I completely agree with you, speaking about the woman who you saw me chatting with, on the street: that she is trying to show her gratitude and pay you back, with the only currency she has and that makes it so much more humbling for all of us. It just transcends a so-called transactional approach. BTW, do not forget her bikini, your next time! LOL.

Now, one way I differ from you (and perhaps from many) is that I never specify anything. I do not have a laundry list that I check against. Strike one, two and so forth. People come, they know that they will have a good time, have food, drinks of any kind (many will only have water) and go home with a gift and some money and they are rarely disappointed. It is not to say, that I do not have my fetish but every thing in its sweet time. Fortunately so far for me, unlike the short term visitors or my previous life on business travels, I have the luxury of time in the DR, albeit a week at a time and the weeks add up over the years and you form a relationship, not the kind that I have in my home country but nonetheless, it is a kinda-sorta relationship with a whole host of people. Reading the posts, I sense that OldKool operates in a similar fashion and there are others as well. Indeed a gentleman responded to one of your posts recently with a simliar reflection despite his short stay in St. Domingo. Mr. E has his definition of a "pro" and he is hung up on that but I must also concede that epistemologically speaking, he too is right.

Finally, there is no need to thank me. Nothing and no one belongs to me; If by introducing someone who could use some help, to someone who I believe is respectful towards a woman, we have a win-win. DCUPS knows about it and I have never even met him personally, go figure!

The last trip in early spring, I stayed in the Garden Condos, it was a very nice complex. I found in on Airbnb. A few years earlier, I stayed at Condos Dominicanos, but I wasn't sure if it was open last trip, and couldn't find it on Airbnb. Garden Condos had a nice pool, looked fairly new, and was in a courtyard, garden setting. Both of these are a short walk to the strip.

Damn straight Mr. T! I am laughing with you. And I get your point. But I also have list that a give to girls that I don't know in order to determine the services that they offer. Especially online. When dealing with girls on the streets of Sosua I can talk to them in person about what I like and what they won't do. You and I have an acquaintance in common that I picked precisely because she knew you. And if she knew you I knew she was a good person. And I understand it. But if she just took the money and walked out I would not care. My gift comes from my heart. I am not a sociopath.

Is there a place to buy a three week sim card / minutes package for 3 weeks? Did this in Jamaica was economical. Is Classico still open? Do you still have the mainly Haitian girls on the other block of Pedro Clisante? Do they still have corner guys exchanging cash? List of nice Airbnb's complexes near the strip? The time clubs lock down?

Classicos is history sadly, it has been replaced by the casino on Playa Chicita. The numbers are good but quality not as nice. Never the less you can find more then enough good action. Rumbas and Bailey's are good for early afternoon action. The weekend is when the girls come in droves. You can buy a sim card from claro for almost any time period. Dominican chicas are still in the majority. The beach is a good place to kill time and site see.

Sosua is small most of the airbnb are decent read reviews to make your decision. 18 days in Sosua would be unbearable for me. Things are slow until the week end. Last year I realized that Caribe drops you off in Charamicos while Metro bus drops in off in Sosua at Texaco station.

They both provide great service.

The buses run almost every half an hour. The buses leaving on the half hour are express buses to Sosua and cost 10 dollars for a 4 to 5 hour trip. The buses are comfortable. A cab willl charge between 150 to 200 dollars and take at least 3 an half hours. If you have deep pockets and are in a rush do the taxi. A local would never use a cab. Like taking a cab from New York to Washington. You would need to catch a cab to Caribe tours $30. I just hop on the bus and take a nap.

Yes, but by your logic, aren't you using similar schematics? Many men would shudder at have an encounter with a woman from the street, period. They have their ways of filtering out the ones they don't want and you, as a man, can do the same. It's a business transaction. Ideally, it shouldn't feel too businesslike, but that's how we make sure both partners are benefiting from the transaction. As far as the "contextual backdrop". Ummm, I'm pretty sure these ladies have working eyes and brains and most are "hip" to the "lingo". I mean, this is a major sex tourist destination.
