Posts: 505What's Happening Right Now in The Game
Many of you all are missing what is taking place in the DR. You have a new and exploding Dominican Hip Hop scene. If you have not heard of Cardi b, the hottest hip hop women artist in the game right now who happens to be Dominican, then you out of touch what is happening with young chicks. Go to a regular nightclub and see what happens when they throw a Cardi b song on. Chicks go crazy as she is singing about she do not fuck with cheap dudes.
Just to confirm what I am saying drive up the road to Puerto Plata on a Friday or Saturday night. The place is booming a lot of new nightclubs have opened on the malecoln. Hot chicks everywhere. Now, why do the hot chicks not come to sosua. They do not have too. They not coming to Sosua for a 1000 or 1500 peso hookup. If they thought they could get paid big money they be there. Just ask yourself why sosua not teeming with hot chicks right now. They can do better in the big cities. If I am wrong, why are there not a ton of hot chicks in sosua looking to get paid right now. It is like anything you have to make moves. You do not speak spainish, do not know how to dress the part, then you SOL in the hot nightclubs in the big cities. Do not be mad at me for saying it just look at the market conditions. You go to Puerto Plata right now it's booming. You try to be cheap with a chick she is voting with her feet and chicks have voted. Time for the mayor to realize and be more nightclub friendly.

Of course there are occasions when guys get sex for 1000 pesos or less (or even free) but they are far from the norm. When I first mongered in Sosua twelve years ago, the usual prices were 1000 pesos short-time and 1500 pesos all night. At that time you could get 27 pesos for a dollar. You can now get around 48 pesos for a dollar, so prices have not increased very much in real terms. Only a fool would pay 3000 pesos for an hour in Sosua, unless the chica is an absolute stunner.
As to the number of chicas available to choose from, there has been heated correspondence on this board lately about that. I agree that there has been some overall decline in numbers, partly due to occasional harassment from the authorities, but the numbers fluctuate with the weather, day of the week and the calendar. Also the Dominican economy is marginally improving, which would take chicas off the streets. But many posters have recently reported nights when there were ample chicas to choose from.
Another factor not mentioned in these discussions is the rosy-tinted effect of memory. It is human nature all over the world to think things are not as good as they once were. Either that is true, in which case Sosua is not declining any more than other places are, or it is not true, in which case we are fooling ourselves.
You can still have a great time in Sosua for a reasonable price, but if you arrive with absurd expectations than of course you will be disappointed.

FYI: those are some great prices for food. Much lower than can be found in Santo Domingo or Santo Domingo este. The apartment rental that you are is good for Santo Domingo este standards. In my building, on the first floor with a pool view it will cost you $585 for 15 days.
But in Santo Domingo prices for a short time with a street girl are much lower (including a two hour cabana rental). Even the short time prices I was quoted while I was house hunting and looking for a good real estate agent in order to make a offer were lower than that. But alas, in order to avoid controversy, please PM for more details.
Thanks again for your excellent man in the arena report!

I have arrived in Sosua with the expectation, that you can buy for one hour sex 1000 dominican Pesos (20 €).
But the real prices on the street has changed. The girls on the street expect for one hour 2000- 3000 Pesos.
Also the amount of the girls has changed on the street. There is no big choice anymore like in former days. There are not so many on the street.
The possibility of buying food are the best in "Supermercado Playero", where you can buy a gallon (2,5 liter) of water for 32 Pesos and two liters of Coca Cola for 65 Pesos.
Our appartment for two persons cost 575 € per months.
That was my insight view perhaps my report was helpful or you have some good advices for me.
Best regards, Puppeteer.

Guinea Fowl belongs to the fowl genus and hence related to the pheasants and poultry as well so to that extent, you may not find anything different but it is still considered game and hence the texture is somewhat different, perhaps being allowed to move, the meat is somewhat tougher, which is how I like it and then it is somewhat like a small turkey in size but with a lot less fat. I only ate it the Italian way, which is oven roasted with garlic, olive oil and rosemary sprigs, and typically potatoes are roasted along with the fowl. All I can say is, it was scrumptious!
By the way, I have no idea what Iron Chef is all about. In neither of the two languages you mentioned.

Explains a lot!

Also Tempo. What does Guinea fowl taste like? I only know of it from Iron Chef (the original Japanese version, not the Hollywood remake. Because that's how I roll.).

Hi guys,
I am actually in Sosua. Last time I was here was 2 years ago. Compared with 2016 it seems like only half the amount of ladys are right here. Prices raised up from una hora una mill to 1500 - 2000. Will report more the next days.
