Weekend in Sosua, Friday and Saturday night 10-21 to 10-23

For a while I have been operating like a housecat. Barely going out at night. If I'm out during the day, I may stop by a few places to talk to some of my friends and acquaintances. Some are expats, and others are guys back for another vacation. This particular weekend I decided to come out and hit the strip. Friday around 6 pm the street was closed to vehicular traffic. A stage had been erected on Pedro Clisante a few feet west of Jolly Rogers restaurant. Later in the evening some musicians were performing. On this particular Friday night, I was curious as hell on what it was going to be like, because I haven't been out past 10 pm in a long while.

I had a good nap earlier in the evening, so I was fresh when I left my spot about 1145 to hit the strip. I started off parking my scooter over by the bar diagonally across from Rockys (the front section of Rockys, I call THE OFFICE) Then I navigated around the corner on foot. Looked inside Bourbon Street, which had a few tables and the bar occupied with chicas and men. Together and / or separated. Kept walking past the German restaurant, and as usual it was filled with white guys and a few Haitianas. I get some of my meals from The german restaurant. I think it's still called Schlemmers, although I also noticed a board above outside saying Central.

A lot of the chicas (mostly Haitian) used to post up in the bar next door to Schlemmer ( Bar Central ) but now they freely hang out mostly in and around Schlemmers. I think who ever operates Bar Central next door, stopped or significantly slowed down the practice of allowing the chicas to hang out in the bar, especially unescorted. With the tables and chairs no longer allowed to be out front most places east of Classico, there is no place for the chicas to go. And they don't seem to want them standing out front of the bar either.

I ended up posting up in front of the window of Merenge bar, but outside on the sidewalk. Watched the parade of women all over the place. The guys I was with observing the scene, noticed that there was something unique about this night. Chicas were walking freely and not being chased. Standing nearby were two Cestur / tourist police officers, but they werent in chase mode. They seemed to be there just in case a disturbance occurred. Now mind you, the street is closed at this time, and everybody is enjoying walking around with no drama and no hassles.

I would say, the only reason it was like that, is because of the event going on down the street. Along with the vendors that had setups of their goods on the street, near the stage. I guess it would look bad for regular folks down there dining in and near Jolly Rogers, having to watch the typical silly cat and mouse game that goes on with the chicas and the police. So apparently the police suspended chica chasing for Friday night. Saturday night though LMAO, it was on like popcorn. Waves of chicas running from one end of the block to another. Police in full swing chasing chicas. Sneaking up on them like alligators or tigers, and then grabbing an arm and start hauling their prey away.

Me and the guys I was standing with, all had several girlfriends for 30 second clips. Girls running , and stopping long enough to postup next to us like were together, and then runoff the moment the coast was clear. Funny shit. You would think they would be trying to see if we were potential clients, but instead they seemed to be more preoccupied with getting away from the police. I kinda know why. Often while on the run, chicas still get grabbed even if they try to act like they are with someone. The chicas are easy targets, because the main ones they are going after are the Haitianas. And perhaps, the reason some of these chicas don't even bother giving us a pitch is because they are really looking for business from the white guys they are used to being spoiled by. Enough assume were not interested in getting with them. But its not true. I have a few haitian regulars.

Typically, white guys seems to do the most of the wining and dining with the haitian chicas, and I wouldn't be surprised if they pay them more too. Plus a lot of those guys don't seem to discriminate with looks. Some of them chicks be looking kinda rough. But certain guys overlook that and treat them like queens. Meanwhile guys like myself, don't do all of that wining and dining. As Grownman reported, I too have heard rumors that Rumba should be opening up very soon. One individual claimed he heard Rumba may open this Wednesday. Of course for me, after all of the prior incorrect rumors, I'll just wait and see.

I stayed out until 0320 Friday night, and watched everything close. I observed around 2 ish, couples starting to leave Classicos to handle their business. Then around 3, I'm watching everybody. The stragglers looking for clients, hustlers, and motos. When it comes to chicas, one can't assume that just because she doesn't have a date after the club shuts down, that she never had a client all day. Many chicas are often continuing their work when you think they must have struck out scoring a client. Some observant guys can tell you, they saw chicas with clients earlier in the day or night, watched them come back to the club, but just didn't get a client upon closing. But it doesn't mean she hadn't made money all day.

Moreover, they still have the casino to go to as another option. I met a chica Friday night. She was sort of a newbie to the scene. She must have been at least 2 inches taller than I was. But I thought she was cute. I didn't pull the trigger, but took her number. I saw her Saturday at the beach, and briefly talked to her. But this time she was with her teacher. A vet chica I got with maybe 5 yrs ago when I stayed at Sosua Suites. I don't recall having a great time with her at all, but I do remember her begging me for a propina and busting out with an attitude when I refused. I met her in Rumba, and got caught up watching her move her body to the music. But after she was in my spot, she was mostly about business. She was part of my learning curve back then.

Well after seeing my young tall chica with her teacher, I was pretty convinced that her barracuda teacher had likely groomed her on what to do, and how to handle clients. I spent my day on the beach, at my buddys spot THE TREE HOUSE. Good music, decent food, and ambiance.

Later that night, I stopped in Bourbon street, satt way in the back. The young tall chica and her teacher was on patrol on the sidewalk walking back and forth like extras in a movie. Which is how I describe chicas out on the street. They look just like extras in a movie. They walk in one direction for lets say a 1-200 ft, and within seconds or minutes they are walking back in the opposite direction, it's comical.

More comical is watching how they act when they set their sights on a regular client, and they try to post up near him, often acting like they don't see him. And then just turn around and start staring at him, trying to get his attention. Same thing happens with chicas trying to score a client. Theyll stand in front of you with their back to you, and turn around to see if you are looking. Sometimes looking at you like they have squirrel eyes. (eyes on the side of their heads). Thats comical as well.

Anyway, while sitting in Bourbon Street, both of these chicas, teacher and student are scoping me from the sidewalk. The teacher is trying to help bag her young student that elusive slippery client sitting in the back of the restaurant. I pretend like I don't see them. They re-position themselves, in my direct line of sight. But I play the same game they do when they act like they don't see you. Chicas always see you. They got eight sets of eyes. They know when your coming and going. A chica has great vision when she chooses to see you, and acknowledge your presence.

Other times, she knows how to walk right past you, acting like you don't even exist. My studies of them, I use the same shit on them. About 145 I'm down by the open window where folks order fast food, and who do I see creeping up on me? The tall young chica with a few other chicas. This time without her teacher. This time, I'm thinking of possibly taking home some juice for the night. I haven't done that in a while. I usually stick to my regulars. But this time I'm thinking of something new. It helped a lot that her barracuda teacher wasnt around. So I pulled her aside and worked out a price for the rest of the night. She wanted 3000 until 8, and I immediately complained. She immediately dropped to 2000 without any input from me. I jumped on it.

I figured, even if I had a bad session, 2000 until even 3 or 4 was cool. And where was this chica going to go at that hour? I soon found out. I told her to meet me back here at the window at 215 am. I will text you too. I was still hanging with one of the cats that was out there scoping the scene. Him and I stood near the window checking out folks hanging across the street at the liquor store. A haitian chica I know had grabbed a bottle and was threatening a haitian dude with it. It was ok, until he crossed the street and came near me, while I'm straddling my scooter.

Last thing I need is this chica throwing this bottle and cracking the wrong head. Anyway, 215 is here, and no chica. I texted her once, no response. Parted company with my buddy and went home. About 0305 I get a whatsapp text from the chica saying "Hi, SONY (yes SONY, was supposed to be sorry ) Yo casino " The next afternoon around 3 pm I get a regular text. "disculpa anoche tenia problemas con mi amiga en casino" I don't know if that message was learned as part of her training, but she definitely knew what she was doing. My guess is, she had contacted her teacher or any of the other chicas in her circle, and told them about the arrangement she had made with me. They probably told her to can that idea. And see what you can pull in the casino.

Actually it was a win / win for me, because I didn't really care one way or the other if we hooked up I was dipping into the unknown anyway, and knew going in who her teacher / mentor was, and very well could have dodged some drama. Like an upsell, or a I got to leave early because my baby excuse. She did me a favor. Of course as expected, she was blowing up my phone trying to get me back on track. Unfortunately for her, she lost a potential client as I won't be doing any business with her any time soon.

Also Sat night, a ex regular that got on my bad side was trying to entice me for business. I ignored her ass, and had her on ignore months ago since our incident when she came to my spot pregnant. But that's another story. I have zero tolerance for BS. Often a 1 strike rule. You fuck up one time, and that's your ass. That dummy blew it with a good customer. Now she expects (like a lot of females) for a man to be horny and with zero standards or principles. If she was thinking that, I made sure she knew that she fucked up.

Unfortunately, a dude can't teach any of these females lessons or make them have regrets. There will always be another customer who will pick up the slack, and sustain them. Enough women are like cats, many dont appear to associate discipline or correction with their behavior. So they'll keep doing the same thing over and over, but try to be more covert. Their strength or power is in the power we give them, or the fact that men are not united on any level to nip shit in the bud collectively. Its every man for himself.

    2 days in Sosua

I spent 2 days in Sosua. Mondays in Sosua is better then any where else I know. I really miss the parade to Rumbas but things have adjusted. There are plenty of girls hiding in the creases. Monday night Merengue bar was packed. The girls in Sosua during the week days are the more hardcore devoted putas. These girls are more likely to be your scammers. Working the streets is there life. Never the less there is always something to put a smile on your face.

The high light of my trip was hooking up with my 1st DR chica. I met her in Punta Cuna and followed her to SD. We spent the night together and had incredible sex. She loves to come. Her passion is what got me turned out in DR. She came so many time I lost track. You guys know what is like when you have been busting nuts in Sosua. There is nothing left in the gun. Her passion got me over the hump. YEEEEEEEZ.

Sosua is doing find there are still plenty guys going even early in the week. I saw or noticed more Europeans. We walk the same streets have many of the same girls but have no interaction.

Is this the end of Sosua

Arrived yesterday afternoon in town and after getting my room ready and stocked with food and beverages I took a stroll down the Strip.

Parts of the strip looked like something out of a war zone!

With the interior demolition work being done inside the former Latinos and the boarded up and deserted Rumbas I couldn't believe what I saw.

And across the street the Bermuda Bar and Cigar place were abandoned. Nobody sitting in chairs on the sidewalks gawking at the Ladies.

And Central Bar in the evening devoid of throngs of Haitians. Well at least the beach was the same!

After Classicos closed I did my usual post-up across the street. Not a lot of girls were standing around compared to the past, for fear of loitering. I did find a good one, agreed to 2000 pesos for TLN.

The next day, Saturday just took it slow on Sosua beach. In late afternoon I picked up . Girls are still sweet and GFE could be had.
    Excellent report!

    DR trip. Day 2, 3 and 4

We arrived in Sosua on a Friday afternoon. It was the last day before they relaxed the closing times. Went to Classicos a little before closing, it was packed wall to wall with girls. Chatted with a beauty from Puerto Plata, she asked for 4000 pesos for TLN and No BBBJ. I smiled and moved on, there are 999 other girls more willing and able. After Classicos closed I did my usual post-up across the street. Not a lot of girls were standing around compared to the past, for fear of loitering. I did find a good one, agreed to 2000 pesos for TLN.

The next day, Saturday just took it slow on Sosua beach. In late afternoon I picked up a girl walking outside of New Garden and took her back for 1500ST. At night my boy and I happened to walk by a bar down a deserted side street cul de sac. Cute bar girls beckoned us to go in. Two young bar girls were very flirtatious, no doubt their job was to get us to buy drinks -- but no complaints from me, as they took turns grinding on me to dembow music, and I alternatively danced bachata with them. My boy though, was smitten by the very pretty but conservatively dressed and demeanored bar manager. She spoke English to him and gave him that "normal girl" vibe. A very fun couple of hours later it was closing time. My two girls wanted to tag team me TLN for 3000 pesos each. Not being a big believer in successful threesomes, I countered 2500 one at a time over two separate nights. They told me to go back to my hotel while they cleaned up and closed out. One of them would hit me up as soon as they were done. Well 30 minutes went by and I didn't get any word. There are never any "must have" girls for me, I was actually not disappointed at all. Headed out to the casino and it was happening. Grownman did a very good description of the place. There were a lot of girls there and the environment was more conducive to talk with them because we weren't packed like sardines and the music was not deafeningly loud. Pretty soon found a Santiago girl I liked, negotiated 3000 pesos TLN and were off to the races.

The next day, Sunday we drove to nearby towns like Rio San Juan and Cabarete. At night my boy was wifed up with the bar manager girl. I hit Classicos and got me a nice Santo Domingo girl for 3000 for TLN.

In conclusion, on the surface Sosua is a sad sight. Businesses closed left and right, abandoned buildings and messed up sidewalks. Most of the restaurants were swatting-flies kind of slow (except Bourbon Street). How do anti-puta restrictions help with reviving the town? Unless they want to destroy it completely and build it fresh from the ground up, like Dresden and Hiroshima? We stayed at Hotel BellaMar, formerly Sosua Bay, twin property to Victorian House. One wing of the hotel was completely shut down. The security guard told me the whole place might not survive past Christmas. I saw the Toyota Previa Mr. E wrote about. First you see chicas running towards and past you, sort of panicking. Then you see the dark van with the headlights off and sliding door open, rolling silently like the grim reaper on wheels. Despite all the negativity, girls are still there and I was still able to have very good sessions. Girls are still sweet and GFE could be had.

I definitely saw some when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Granted there were not enough to warrant removing tables and chairs for though.

Defintiely no hindrance now for families walking with their kids, no tables, no chairs, and very few people on the street, but I still have not seen families with their kids walking on the street, maybe the persons behind the new laws can import a few families with kids for a photo-op and post the fotos in some travel magazines, I sure all the locals who have lost their jobs and businesses due to the new regs would be pleased to see fotos of the new sosua.

    Concession?

IMHO that was a poor deal, as early evening numbers looks to be way down on the strip, the ambiance on the street has been lost. I am biased about late hours though, as I always say if not in bed by midnight to home.

    Last weekend in the Sue

The Sue last weekend was a smooth ride. Curfew a
or not really didn't change too much for my style of dealing with this issue.

Some things I observed due to the change.

    1. City Lights is the new Rumba and the new safe place for the girls on the street running from the police. I saw a decent crowd in there. Since the outside is so small and it's not located on a corner, it can never be Rumba post up material.

    2. Since Classico closes at 2 the new spot is the casino. The casino charges you 200 pesos to get in. At the door they give you a chip and with that chip you are allowed to get one drink. Cubra Libre or a cerveza. I must say I really enjoyed the environment. This was a good hangout spot because everyone comes to the casino. I almost didn't go because I don't like after ones vibe. My boys and I decided to go there at the last moment we all had call back pussy that we could have fall back on. Since it was still early mostly everyone hit the casino. It was more like it and a DJ was set up in the back. There was enough room to create a dance floor and plenty of move around room. Some of my boys said they were getting high for prices. These cats were in their mid-twenties. I was hearing them say quotes like 4000 - 6000 pesos. In truth none of us paid any of these higher prices. I think the most one person paid was 3000 pesos. And she gave him the worst session.

    3. The police work diligent in their work. No chica was spared if she was caught Slippin. They post it up on the outside and in the hallway of the casino. I watched as the captain instructed his officers to take chicas off if they didn't have a token showing that they were in the casino. A security guard stop our group and asked us to walk these very nice young ladies up to the club because they feared the police.

    4. Chicken man talk to me for a second. He had a group of girls on his phone he was trying to pimp. He had some dimes. He wanted to show us them posted in a hotel. I asked him how much he said it was between you and the girl. I told him don't show me a car for sale if you can tell me
the price. He said Rumba will be back in about 2 to 3 weeks. My mind was like that's six months at least Dominican time.

    5. Rumba should be happy they're closed anyway. The whole sidewalk is busted on that block. Ain't nobody going to walk in that dirt. Expecially headed to the club. The busted-up Curve alone kills the whole block on that side.

    6. My man Olle that has the chicken spot headed toward Europa is sick. Very sick. Rumors are not good hope I see him soon.

The president is really behind this. The prez is going to get his way eventually. I just hope he knows what he's doing long term. We shall see said the blind man!

The no tables on the sidewalk killed mayorista in medellin when instituted about 3 years ago and it never recovered to this day.
