To an extent you were correct about me viewing things as a local. Its possible that I am exposed to a lot more guys on a daily and weekly basis to talk to and observe their behavior than guys who come every so often. So my observation, perspective and interaction of what old and young guys go for should be taken in consideration. Now just because I do not go to Classico or routinely stay up late mean I haven't picked the brains of many of the guys that come here. Thing is, you can sort of measure or guess the numbers of guys going out to the club cause you see them. Those going home with 6's may be barely noticed. And it would be hard to measure the numbers of guys that don't come out late, or already are squared away for the day / night.
There are plenty of guys, even on short term vacation who are not going for the dimes, and not interested in going to the club / disco. I can say that's true of a significant number of guys younger or older. So the only thing that is debatable is whether or not it's Most guys, or simply only those it applies to. I believe it's the latter.

And, BTW, the man does not monger! He is an ex Navy guy. Need he say more? 👻😜😇

I am telling you that I preach the exact same thing in the Thailand thread. The same chicks that work in those gogos that you will walk in and pay $100+ for, you can get for 1/3 that amount. When they get off work they go to the discos. Most guys say well I am not trying to stay up until 3 am when that happens. But the same girls walk around in the day time outside of work hours like you said.
I was with a brother from the board named Cool in Thailand last month. About 4 pm, we were sitting in the market talking and I saw some chicks who were getting food. I told them to come sit with us. Come to find out they were getting food before going to work at the gogo. I had them both give their numbers to Cool so he could set up something with them outside of work hours. Before that, he had been going in the gogos paying the high prices.
Also, living there, like you said you have had the top notch chicks already and can now willy nilly pick 6s when you want. But what do most visitors say? I can fuck somebody like that back home. I come here to get something better than back home. If I have to pay, then I am certainly not paying for a 6. They are not trying to pay all that money travelling to another country to get 6s. Plus they only have a few days or a week to fulfill their carnal pleasures. So they are trying to get the quick drive-thru service. If they let something pass, they may never run into it again on the trip. You are there for the long haul and can operate differently than they do by sitting at the table and putting the napkin on the front of your shirt before ordering from the waitress.

Posts: 1348Ok who got stabbed last night?
This is 3rd party unsubstantiated or confirmed info. An expat buddy of mine claims some turistas got stabbed last night by their chicas? Anybody know anything about this?

And don't necessarily do any thing special back home. The reason why I'm saying this, is because the interests and concerns of those mongers who are affected by the early closings of their favorite places, are not representative of the masses, only themselves.
Their interests and concerns does not dictate what Sosua represents for those who are not affected significantly. So all of the assessments and complaints of Sosua, including the so called lack of talent so on and so forth, is representative of a small group of individuals who will have no impact on anybody elses enjoyment of Sosua. Besides, there are always going to be different perspectives due to life experience, and age. A guy in his 30's or 40's trying to tell me that there's no talent in Sosua, or that most of the chicas are fat, ugly, hoodrat etc, I don't buy into that. A guy in his 50's, 60's through to the 80's may not have a problem finding a bunch of decent 6's available to get the job done. Many of my best regulars were my 6 and 7's. Many of the uppers were more or less a disappointment on one level or another. High maintenance, too much divatude or heavy mileage from being in demand.
I know some folks know one of my sayings. "YOU CAN ONLY THINK IN ONE HEAD" I'm applying it this way, Just because a group or indivduals feel / think a certain way, or have had a certain experience, none of that necessarily represents someone elses experience or personal assessment. After hours party goers don't necessarily represent how others enjoy their time in Sosua or the DR. Their failure to get what they need because what they are accustomed to isnt available, will not be taken into consideration except to whom else it may apply.
From the time I 1st started coming to Sosua on vacation, and up to officially living here in the DR for 2 yrs, hanging out late was never a routine for me. I had / have no urge or interest in popping bottles, or making it rain. I don't smoke, but lightly drink. Whereever I go, I'm a people watcher. And I'm always meeting and greeting people. In those encounters I talk to a lot of people everyday. It's quite clear to me, that there are plenty of vacationers who do not go to any of the clubs / discos. Don't care to be out 1,2 to 4 in the morning. I've met more than enough vacationers that don't drink. And don't smoke. And can't stand to be around cigarette or cigar smoke. None of this is affecting them to the point that they need to find another mongering destination.
So it's astonishing reading comments from board members from various sites, or having to answer questions of guys living abroad (USA etc) about the alleged crackdown, or demise of Sosua. And mainly because they heard of a few venues closing, chicas temporarily getting arrested every night, and the closing off of streets to vehicular traffic. Meanwhile some are totally ignoring that this is still slow season in Sosua. This past Friday and last night the strip was packed with people. Classico was packed. One guy I know, paid for Classico but backed out once he saw how overcrowded it was. People will pack a place, when you give them only 2 late nights to party, and not the whole week like before.
Passions, CMP, dee latins have been closed for years now. What did people do? Adapt, complain out the ass, or do like CubaDave, bounce. I never actually got chicas in or out of Passions or CMP. I only went to see what it was about, or show somebody else. I soon realized that most of those chicas could be had easily when they werent working there. Many were staying in rooms or hotels nearby. Youd see them going to the colmado, salon etc, but so dressed down youd hardly recognize that that was the same sexy chica you saw up in Passions / CMP a previous night. So closing of CMP or passions wasnt that big of a deal, except for the fact that the chicas were semi supervised, and I believe tested for STD's. They closed, and people had to deal with it. All Cuba Dave had to do is get the chicas he liked from those venues, and hook up with them elsewhere. What was the big deal that he had to have Passions or CMP open just to get with the same girls?
I've come to the realization that many guys that come to Sosua shoot themselves in the foot acting like they are sedated and don't know how to do anything outside of the box. Staying within the confines of the strip seems to be their primary objective. When I was coming to Sosua on vacation, i sought the information I needed to enhance my experience and personal safety. I learned my way around, including some of the neighboring towns. Started picking up the names of the streets / venues. Went to many of the hotels to check for future consideration, so if my usual hotel was unavailable, I had options. I rented cars so I could explore outside of Sosua. I extracted as much info as I could from other mongers, expats, and even learned from the locals. Many of my friends, never did any of that. Many never tried to learn more spanish either. And constantly had to be helped in translating some gibberish some chica sent them. Or communication common to places they visited often, like a restaurant.
I would learn as much as I could about everything that would be helpful down the road. Meanwhile Id talk to enough guys who will need to know where ATMS or exchange places are, but wouldn't bother seeking that info beforehand until they are in a jam and need something. Wouldn't know where the beach was, nor would they ask. Some folks (many are personal friends) just are not wired to learn as much as they can of their environment. Its sad, but some folks don't even know how to use much of this technology we have at our disposal (computers / phones / tablets, apps etc).
Many guys are walking around oblivious to what's around them. To this day, I can ask enough guys do they know where certain very commom places are in Sosua that thery passed by, and they wouldn't be able to do it, because it never occured to them to take note for future reference. Or you take guys to specific places, and they can't freaking remember how to get there again. They are like wives and Gfs sitting in the passenger seat looking but not paying attention.
