Unless you employ armed security, you are risking your life there needlessly.
My Colombian friend said the same thing about Venezuela. She had to go there to deal with some family legal business a year ago. In her words, "a crazy, shitty country. " I'm sure the low oil prices aren't helping any. Give it a few years and maybe things will turn around.

It has been 10 years since I have been to Venezuela so I was going to head down next month. Then I pulled up the new visa requirements and saw that their president just does not want Americans down there. They recommend applying for the visa 3 months ahead of time. Good thing my girl has a visa for USA.

I really like Lima and will return there for my third trip this summer.

I also like Cartagena a lot, has the beaches, but a tad more pricy for the chicas.

Sosua is, Sosua. I like the beach scene and I enjoy fucking Mr. GoGo's girlfriends. Headed back next month and I will reassess the place. But, that's what I say every trip.

Just checked from Miami, Tampa and Orlando to BOG is 200 usd or less on Spirit and JetBlue. Miami and Orlando have non-stops at that price.

First great report as usual Sabor. Hope to see you soon brother.

Right now everyone is in a holding pattern. Later this year the Olympics will be finished in Brazil and maybe she will be back to claim her crown. Also Cuba just opened up 110 more slots for commercial flights to submit bids with the selection due by summertime. Once these two players enter the game the landscape will change for mongers. I've gotten very luck with Grownman introducing me to the areas around Boca Chica (Check the Gogo forum).

With Andres, San Pedro, SD and even La Romana / Bayahibe / Higuey all within an hour of Boca Chica I haven't thought about my beloved Sosua not once. Plus with the cheap and frequent flights to SDQ, it all fits well while I wait for later this year. No use in paying 670 usd for a flight to POP and do Sosua for the 40th time when its 350 usd to SDQ and I can do basically the same as in Sosua and its something new.

Medellin has the prettiest and sweetest girls but you sacrifice the beach as Turgid said. Costa Rica is a waste of money and time IMO. Cuba was good until recently with Havana emerging on possibly becoming the jewel of the Caribbean for tourism (not good for mongers), if you haven't gone to Cuba already you won't understand what you missed. Bogota is a sleeper if you can deal with the cool weather and lack of a beach. Flights to BOG have been steady around 200 usd for a round trip flight. It's a big metropolitan city with plenty of activities to keep you busy and the girls are gorgeous. Lima, and Venezuela are good if you speak Spanish and are an adventurer. Tijuana is a ghetto but Tomjackin has fucked all the girls there. PI and Thailand are must sees in a lifetime so with the lull on this side of the globe might be worth a trip now to check off your bucket list. The new cycle will start later this year so just be patient.

It was damn good and filling for 200 pesos though. You are right about everyone being unfailingly polite and nice. More English spoken by the servers than most anywhere else on the strip.

And while it was dark during the power outage, I thought that it was pretty classy that each server came to a table with their cell phone camera light or flashlight and stood there so you could see your food. I will go back again tonight for the jambalaya.
Was there too. A fight broke out of the place next to the corner cigar spot and those two chicas had it out for a good 20 minutes. I stayed at Casa Cayena again and like always it couldn't be better. Spoke to Wilfried for a bit. Since I got there early my room was not available so I drove around and saw a nice looking indian complexion chica and spoke to her for a bit. Took Rosa to the cabana and chilled for 2 hours. The drive from Santiago was good and no traffic at all. Got my room at CC and took a nap. Went to Classicos late and bumped into my hag from Santiago. Priceless! Ended up taking a 20 why / o who could take a pounding. I have to find a new place to go cause DR is getting old for me.

    Good Question

I am not very tall so having a low bed allows me to be higher then the booty and I have a downward angle. This makes sex easier and better for me. I bring the girl to the edge of the bed and go to work. It works for me.

Bourbon Street Restaurant, Pedro Clisante Sosua.

First I would like to say this venue is not a mongering spot per-se but can be used by mongers in different ways.

Bourbon Street Restaurant is now open in the old El Toro Bar spot. The restaurant is across the street from Rumbas and has an open air view of Pedro Clisante.

There is a cash desk however this is for the wait staff. The venue has 2 bars. In addition it has a cigar bar that is enclosed from the restaurant.

All the food is prepared fresh to order. My dish for the night was Mahi Mahi with red beans and rice. There was a mixup and the waitress brought me salmon and rice but the order was corrected within 10 minutes, I am sure if I got someone else's plate or not. The red beans and rice were EXCELLENT and the fish was not the best but it was decent. My plate was 700 pesos so it was more comparable to US prices. In fact almost everything on the menu was in that price range therefore this restaurant is not for the budget traveler. If you are a drinker you could easily drop 1500 pesos in the blink of an eye.

    An American Vibe.

The music is smooth jazz like you were in a nice jazz spot in Atlanta or New Orleans, I particularly enjoyed this since I am a jazz lover. There is nothing Dominican about this establishment other than the staff. I spoke with the owner and he advised almost all of his staff are tourism students in the University who are studying English. The staff was very friendly and professional. Very un-Dominican. ROTFL! The dining area is nice with an open air breeze and ceiling fans and there is plenty of space between the seating.

The night I visited was a bad night.

There was heavy rain the first night I visited and the power went out on Pedro Clisante. The back up generator kicked in for Rumbas across the street but their generator didn't kick in for almost 15 minutes. It was a little unnerving sitting there in the dark. There was a mix up on my order and the bathroom is in desperate need of renovation. The toilet I used didn't flush.

I spoke with the owner and he advised the bathroom was in renovation and he would check on my other concerns.

    My anecdotal assessment.

Although my first experience was a bit disappointing the owner is the same individual who owns the Victorian House. When I was at the Victorian House he went out of his way to assist me with my concerns up-grading my room ect. The owner is very customer service orientated in fact he took the time to talk to me for over 15 minutes therefore I have confidence that the aforementioned issued will be addressed.

This is a very American spot from the food to the music to the prices. My impression was you are paying for the ambiance as much as the food. In reality the same set up in the United States the food might cost a little more.

There was a security officer present when I was there and all the staff was professional and polite.

The venue is a restaurant, bar and cigar room. It is a great place to do interviews if you met a classy PFP chic at Rumbas who could appreciate the ambiance. IMHO I would not dine there with a PFP chica because between 2 people for drinks and a meal you could drop 2000 pesos easily and for me I'd rather give a PFP chica a 300 pesos meal than a 1000 pesos meal especially since I am paying for her time. On the contrary if it wasn't for the venue being in the middle of Hoe town on the strip I would gladly take a civilian to an establishment such as that because I believe we would both enjoy ourselves.

I will definitely return and add more updates later.

I enjoy smooth jazz when done well. I noticed jazz being played at several venues on my last trip.
Good for your son, yes it is really hard to be a successful jazz performer today, and musicians have to earn a living playing whatever sells. Even Duke Ellington had to play parties and dances sometimes and do a whole bunch of Duke Ellington Meets XYZ albums with the popular stars of the day to make some coin.

I have more than 20 Coltrane albums and hardly ever go a day without listening to some of his music. Also some Parker now and again, but Coltrane is the King.
