I have a son who is a successful straight ahead jazz artist. Following in the Coltrane and Charlie Parker vain. I worry that it may be a dying art form like latin is a dead language. I myself grew up loving fusion jazz. Stanley Clark and Wheather Report. My son agrees with you that smooth jazz is pop. My thoughts are that you serve your audience. I enjoy smooth jazz when done well. I noticed jazz being played at several venues on my last trip.

Posts: 317Bourbon Street Restaurant & Bar, Pedro Clisante Sosua
Bourbon Street Restaurant, Pedro Clisante Sosua.
First I would like to say this venue is not a mongering spot per-se but can be used by mongers in different ways.
Bourbon Street Restaurant is now open in the old El Toro Bar spot. The restaurant is across the street from Rumbas and has an open air view of Pedro Clisante.
There is a cash desk however this is for the wait staff. The venue has 2 bars. In addition it has a cigar bar that is enclosed from the restaurant.
All the food is prepared fresh to order. My dish for the night was Mahi Mahi with red beans and rice. There was a mixup and the waitress brought me salmon and rice but the order was corrected within 10 minutes, I am sure if I got someone else's plate or not. The red beans and rice were EXCELLENT and the fish was not the best but it was decent. My plate was 700 pesos so it was more comparable to US prices. In fact almost everything on the menu was in that price range therefore this restaurant is not for the budget traveler. If you are a drinker you could easily drop 1500 pesos in the blink of an eye.
An American Vibe.
The music is smooth jazz like you were in a nice jazz spot in Atlanta or New Orleans, I particularly enjoyed this since I am a jazz lover. There is nothing Dominican about this establishment other than the staff. I spoke with the owner and he advised almost all of his staff are tourism students in the University who are studying English. The staff was very friendly and professional. Very un-Dominican. ROTFL! The dining area is nice with an open air breeze and ceiling fans and there is plenty of space between the seating.
The night I visited was a bad night.
There was heavy rain the first night I visited and the power went out on Pedro Clisante. The back up generator kicked in for Rumbas across the street but their generator didn't kick in for almost 15 minutes. It was a little unnerving sitting there in the dark. There was a mix up on my order and the bathroom is in desperate need of renovation. The toilet I used didn't flush.
I spoke with the owner and he advised the bathroom was in renovation and he would check on my other concerns.
My anecdotal assessment.
Although my first experience was a bit disappointing the owner is the same individual who owns the Victorian House. When I was at the Victorian House he went out of his way to assist me with my concerns up-grading my room ect. The owner is very customer service orientated in fact he took the time to talk to me for over 15 minutes therefore I have confidence that the aforementioned issued will be addressed.
This is a very American spot from the food to the music to the prices. My impression was you are paying for the ambiance as much as the food. In reality the same set up in the United States the food might cost a little more.
There was a security officer present when I was there and all the staff was professional and polite.
The venue is a restaurant, bar and cigar room. It is a great place to do interviews if you met a classy PFP chic at Rumbas who could appreciate the ambiance. IMHO I would not dine there with a PFP chica because between 2 people for drinks and a meal you could drop 2000 pesos easily and for me I'd rather give a PFP chica a 300 pesos meal than a 1000 pesos meal especially since I am paying for her time. On the contrary if it wasn't for the venue being in the middle of Hoe town on the strip I would gladly take a civilian to an establishment such as that because I believe we would both enjoy ourselves.
I will definitely return and add more updates later.

Posts: 3103You can not have them all
Once we become regulars in Sosua we are known by the ladies as much as we know them. I had very good trip. The toughest part is not banging some of the drop dead gorgeous girls. Every night I had to choose between 7 or 8 I really wanted but had to choose one. I cut back on the number of pulls and enjoyed my encounters way more. My performance was much better. Doing to much is stressful and physically demanding for some one my age. I had a discussion with a guy in his 20s explained he was shutting blanks.,
On the last day I was catching the 1030 bus to SD. I wanted one for the road so I saw a massage girl I knew next to my place at Sosua suites. I thought a BJ would be in order. She really went to work and I had a rock hard joint. We were in the living room going at it. So I said let's take this to the cama. She was very wet and ready. I had very good session with her. She seemed to be into the sex as well as me. This was a great way to cap my Sosua adventure.

There's Oldkool with his Donald Trump fixation, WTF?
For the irony challenged, Here it is explained, in context:
You:
"Moral of the story, Sosua for me is great for food: English, French, German and Italian, but for the women? Meh!"
Me:
"There's your problem. You are a gourmet when it comes to food, and women".
(When comparing women to gourmet food, Sosua is a giant McDonalds for hungry guys like us. There is NO "English, French, German and Italian". The sex in Sosua, is fast, cheap, decent quality, available everywhere in quantity, and generally safe to eat. It's actually the only place I ever have mongered and it suits me perfectly).
I know, jajaja, a joke is not a joke if you have to explain it
But some folks have these hair triggers, ready to go off at any time, they need these explanations.

I have BFE in full affect. I get in town around 330 walk into my favorite hotel only one room left and it is for me. I know all the front desk girls old home week. I do my first stroll an run into several familiar faces. I get the mandatory manicure and pedicure. I run into a 19 year old spinner I had a year ago. She was a baby then but was down for everything. I schedule her for 630. She is on time and much more street wise now. It happens. She remembers everything about our first encounter. I gave her good BFE and now I get the pay off. Unlike the previous night in SD this girl can take some dick. I lost count of the positions but all were good. The bed where I am staying are low to the ground. This makes doggy style a lot easer.
She is a street girl attractive but nothing fancy. She rewarded my BFE coming hard with a toy I had and giving a me big nut while riding cow girl yehow.
We also danced bachata to warm up that BFE thing again.
After recovering I get Baileys pizza IMHO best I ever had. Not sure which was better the pizza or the sex but both were great. I hit Rumbas and it is nuts. Really attractive girls every where. I bought beers for several tables of girls. 150 p for a grande is nothing. I meet a big chested Haitian chica. 36 dd and out where they can be seen. I love to dance and she was an amazing dancer. I head to Classicos to give her a test ride. Her skills on the dance floor were unequaled she made me look good. We get back to the room she showers and get the DD in full affect and they are gorgeous. I said she had great dance skills but she was even better in bed. She was non stop fucked like a starved person eating. She admired my quote big dick which always plays well and she made me so excited it was swollen. She really took her time no rushing. No doubt one of the best sessions I have ever had.
Interesting fact she said she loved banging American men and had never had sex with a Dominican. WOW I ran into my first DR girlfriend. She is very attractive AND may be on the menu tonite. This was the best Sosua day I ever had. Both sessions were 10's.

As far as I am concerned, I (like you and others who venture out on the Island) have better options available, which ruined my Sosua appetite. I think it was Frannie who had stated, to get GFE, you have to give BFE and the island affords you that opportunity.

There is no particular place where you will easily find a really hot chica at that time, but there are several massage places on Dr. Rosen, or Belkis salon on the Calle sin Salida where you can get a massage with extras up to and including F&S. There is also a massage place near Elefante Rosso that has some cute girls. The advantage is that you don't have to pay for a room, the disadvantage is that these place don't have showers.
Here is another tip. At any masssage place you can ask for a massaje domicilario (home massage) and then take the chica to Dulce Secreto for the "massage". Obviously you will pay extra for a takeout fee.
Other than that you might find a chica anywhere just by walking around and smiling at any likely prospects. However afternoon is not the best time for hunting.

My guess you think Don Trump is the second coming. If you can not have a good time in Sosua it is your fault not theirs. Sosua offers you the opportunity to girls 18 and up in every flavor you can imagine.
