As far as the weekend millionaires invading Colombia. I don't think it will happen as it is not really a tourist destination, and not a lot of people speak English. The typical crowd that frequents Sosua would be like fish out of water hitting the casa's in Medellin, especially in El Centro.

If the weekend millionaires that go to Sosua were to behave like they do in Medellin they would be gutted like a pig and thrown on the side of the road. The "powers that be" would never in a million years allow that shit to any degree.

I have been to Medellin five times and started going to the DR for the beaches and definitely will return. It's disappointing that the venues keep shutting down on the Strip. Grownman is there right now and he may not return to Sosua, I think he may of been kidnapped by some smoking hot Colombians as he hasn't posted lately.

I have been to both Sosua and Medellin and I might be a minority but I much prefer Sosua. The reason is that I fit in better, I find much more camaraderie, and it is so easy to get around the place. I actually prefer Jaco to both places but it can be much more expensive. But the Cocal is my dream place. But I am still going to keep going to Sosua.

I rarely post but for all of those concerned, Sosua is business as usual. Rumbas, City Lights, and most other spots are too. Just got back to the states on the 19th. So unless they closed those places in the last couple of days there is nothing to worry about except which chica to choose. Rancho Tipico has finished their expansion and a nice place to hang out if you like a more local Haitian. The girls do avoid the cops with a little sprint and to see it is kind of entertaining. Most of the time they manage to skirt the cops because some of the cops are on motorbikes and the cops that are walking are too slow to catch them, being there is so so many chicas. The past couple of weeks has been nuts with chicas. Had blast as usual and always hate to come home to the drama. Have fun boys.

$ 5 more will easily get a BBBJ in most of the casa's. Some great and cheap experiences can be had from the street girls in and around Botero Plaza and in front of the Church. It's can be a goldmine out there if you have patience. I have gotten BBBJCIM for less than $ 10 there in the past.

I have been to both Colombia and DR, while you have the opportunity to bang a hot Colombian I don't think costs are that much different. And if you look at overall costs, it is a bigger expense to fly to Colombia, and a longer trip as well. You also need to know a little more than basic Spanish to really see some success in Colombia, at least if you want a better experience. Sosua is easy to navigate, one Main Street for action, a decent beach with opportunities to get laid, it's easy and incredibly convenient. I think overall I am more attracted to the Colombianas and have had some excellent experiences, but I have also been with some very hot light skinned Dominicanas that give me an experience to remember. Both locations have their pros and cons, and most people are likely to spend less overall in DR. The chicas in Sosua might want 3000-4000 but depending on your negotiation skills you can get that for less. 3000-4000 is TLN pricing, $15 in Colombia is not TLN so that's not exactly a fair comparison.

For sport-fucking you can't beat Medellin. Also I'm paying less to fly to Medellin from LAX then I typically do to Sosua. The hotels are cheaper there and you are correct about needing to speak Spanish there. Colombia is not a place for rookies / newbies and in my opinion can be way cheaper than Sosua if your not staying in Poblado and your banging girls from the casa's and streets versus the Clubs and higher end Casa's. I can't wait to get there next week. I'm going to have a room in Poblado by Parque Lleras and one by Botero Plaza. I'm going to be trolling the Pobaldo area for Chicas, hitting the casa's in El Centro, going to the San Diego Mall, and pulling girls off the street in and around Avenida De La Grief and Mayorista, etc.

Rumbas & Premium Sports Bar.

Both Rumbas and the Premium Sports bar were closed by the government on May 20th apparently there were some tax discrepancies that should be resolved shortly. I went to Sosua after dark to investigate and it felt strange seeing Rumba with its doors closed and no lights on either in the club or the restaurant.

Chez Mon Real Restaurant.

Early in the evening the Rumba crowd went to Chez Mon Real Restaurant on the corner of Dr Rosen and Pedro Clisante. Motos were lined up outside, people congregated outside standing and sitting in outdoor seating along with a large crowd inside gathered at the bar and standing in different parts of the club.

City Lights Night Club.

City Lights Night Club is the only place on Pedro Clisante that has the same feel as Rumbas with the space to entertain Rumbas crowds. It is an open air venue with a club in back and rooms on site that are available for rent. I checked in the early evening and later at night and there was no significant crowd in City Lights at either time. It makes no sense why the crowd will not relocate to City Lights, your guess is as good as mine.

Classicos, Merengue, Club X & Winners Circle.

As usual Classicos was the spot to be and the most crowded on Pedro Clisante. It was rumored they were charging 500 pesos cover charge but I found that to be untrue they were charging their normal 200 pesos.

Merengue, Club X and Winners Circle were all light crowds due to it being a Wednesday night and it was raining on and off during the night.

The usual crowd gathered outside of Classicos and subsequently dispersed after Classicos closed.

The future remains to be seen for the clubs on Pedro Clisante.

Sosua has been off the radar for me lately as I am headed to Colombia for a week. In reading know that Rumbas was shutdown does not make sense to me at all. Since Latinas has been shut down, Rumbas has been the biggest busiest establishment during the afternoons and evenings and you would think the owners would be on top of paying their taxes to avoid a shutdown and loss of income. Well I guess now Central Bar and the other establishments will reap some benefits from this. I wish Latinos would re-open, it was one of my favorite places on the Strip.
