    Sunday Football

Will be Sosua next weekend and need to watch my games. Preferably with volume.

I know the obvious local venues for a few games but does anyone KNOW if anyone in Sosua or Cabarette has all the feeds.

    Especially the Patriots.

Even in the old Sosua the couple would have to known each other for a few days and entered a mutual comfort zone.

Plus from a guys stand point, we have to do our investigation. Look for signs of drug use, check for regular hygiene, is their phone ringing every five minutes, are they checking out other guys for future options etc.
When I last went to sosua, I'd met three women from the strip. Two of which when back at my room said they had no condoms and asked if I had enfermedades in order to proceed bareback. Luckily I had some stashed away. The last had condoms and did anal also, sexy blonde girl on the chubby side from the disco at the top of the hill thingy.

I think any woman in Sosua will go bareback unfortunately.

These days, only an idiot would fuck without a condom. Some of those girls fuck more than a 1,000 guys a year and many with no condoms. If you have a dead wish I guess that is okay.

I think more appropriately "condoms are negotiable" if one wants to bareback and a lot of Chica's are not going to go for it no matter what is offered.

The discussion of bare-backing and STD's seems to be a topic not discussed much on this board.

Anyone want to wade into this discussion?

    Condoms Mandatory or Negotiable

    Hotel Casa Valeria.

There may not be parties going on there, but it's not a quiet hotel. The walls to their rooms are very thin. I like taking a siesta in the late afternoon, but it was impossible due to the cleaning staff chattering outside plus the noise from the washing machine.

Also, the bathroom didn't have a window, just an open hole behind the toilet out to where the cleaners were hanging up laundry. Several times when I was taking a leak in my bathroom, all of a sudden I was staring at a cleaner a few feet away. Not pleasant.

Apart from that, it's a decent hotel with very friendly staff and a good free breakfast.

Another thing that's changed down there over time is that the chicas used to spend more time on a ST. It was more like a date. A shower for both of you was part of the fun, no rush and you had time to get into it. In an hour or so you could get drained, so TLN wasn't necessary.

Now it's a quick trip to the bathroom, and she won't get completely undressed unless you insist. I'm speaking generally, of course.

    Wooden Shutters

This said taxi said it'd be 60 bucks and waited for me for his taxi friend to come while he had passengers in the back. A lovely old man. Point being it may work out cheaper grabbing a cab unless you plan to use a car for your entire trip or you'll have to pay 50-100 bucks to return the car in puerto plata. Actually if you PM me I know a guy that can get you a good deal for car hire about 50% off RRP. Oh and don't stay in casa cayena, they have wooden slanted blinds that can never be shut instead of windows, so the room's hot even with the A/C on during light hours, stay at new garden if you can, service is also better there from my limited experience.
The wooden shutters at Casa Cayena can be closed shut utilizing corks and or rocks. Jose the maintenance man will gladly make sure all the shutters are shut if open in your room. The service is top notch at Casa Cayena from the cleaning staff, the bar / kitchen, and the office support.

Taxi Cost from Sosua to Santiago

The ride is easy and can be done at night but shouldn't solo if you have driven it before.
The posted taxi price at the taxi stands in Sosua at the casino and next to Rumbas is $ 120. I negotiated $ 80 with the driver who works from Casa Cayena when I flew out of Santiago on my last trip.

Similarly on the backside I leave at 3:47 am 4 days later. Have a room in Sosua and assume I will just find a cab that will take me to arrive at the airport around 2:45 am.

Has anyone been on this schedule. How did it work for you. Staying at Casa Cayane.

    Casa Valeria Info

They only allow one chica at a time, and they have a security guard on after 5 pm. It's for those who like peace and quiet after they leave the strip. You won't be woken up by partiers next door, or around the pool.

The restaurant is good, and if you have a chica who is well dressed, she'll love it.

About 60 bucks a night. But the location is great.
Thanks a lot for the intel on Casa Valeria, Oakie. I booked a room there today for $60 a night via Hotels.com which was $20 a night less than the Hotel quoted me directly when I called them. Bummer about the one guest at a time. Suppose if there is a will there is a way and of course there is always Dulce Secreto if needed. Anyway, was getting a little tired of Terra Linda, maybe next time I will try Casa Cayena.

    Thanks again.

Looked at renting a car which I guess I would like some opinions on. I'm an experienced traveler and have driven in Costa Rica, Aruba, Curacao and Cozumel. Can get a car for $17 a day which will turn out to be less than $100. Also gives me the ability to go to Puerto Playa and Caberate.

Flight out of Chicago is $327 so I saved roughly $250 on the flight. Thought it was a no brainer, but I'm learning it may not have been. If I can get in a car about 7 am when it gets light out and have good directions after an early breakfast and maybe watching movie at the airport on my Ipad maybe it will work out this time, but there won't be a next time.

Frannie has laid out the options for you. Airport to Sosua is about $80 so you still save including your return taxi trip. I landed in STI many times and it is always that gawd awful hour and at times, the flight is also delayed so sticking around until morning at the airport is a good idea. Once the light is out, grab a cab to the bus station and then the bus to Sosua to save money ($30 or so, all told) or a cab direct -whatever pleases you.
