Checked out flash dancers on the John F Kennedy on Sunday, what a disappointment. The girls were 3-6's, they just run down, maybe it was just a weak Sunday crowd but I was expecting much better.
Went with 2 buddys of mine and we were drinking but nothing crazy after getting a couple rounds of drinks amd even some for one of the girls we decided that 3,000 pesos was too steep for these girls. As we go to leave I was hit with the old Tijuana bar trick. 2 girls blocked the exit and said that we didn't pay for a round of drinks, I was mad as hell. Lucky for us I pay for each round as soon as I get them and remembered exactly what bills and change I was given back. After I asked for the owner, a busty little lady, they promptly decided their hustle wasmt going to work and let us go. Never going back there again.

Drivers are low key and quiet. They serve mostly the locals. The porters are looking to help people with luggage coming to the airport.

Posts: 3103It was no problem using van
The vans are airconditoned and about 6 years old. The guys who drive are happy to accept everyones money. Airport employess and smart people use it. I have ridden 7 or 8 times with consistent good results. The Van has a final drop off near China town in SD. There are about or four stop during the ride to SD with riders stepping of. While if you have no spanish this could be an issue. However I have never had any problems using the vans, On my last trip I met a Venizulan new arrival fresh in the country. I gave her 20 US and wished her well. She was on her way to Bavaro looking for work at a resort.

After 9 pm when going from El Conde to Boca Chica the Uber fare goes up to 800 pesos from 550 pesos earlier in the day, so the later it gets the more they charge.
Here is the fucked up part: When going from Boca Chica to Sd after 11 pm, there are no Ubers and it will show a Uber coming but they never arrive. I was able to get a taxi for 1200 pesos when all the other taxis were asking 1500 pesos and up. I'm thinking those Uber drivers log in but maybe log out to give airport passengers preference or they just don't want to come to Boca Chica late at night.
Now check this. A taxi from Boca Chica to SD costs about 1500 pesos late night but a taxi from Boca Chica to juan Dolio late night costs 2000 pesos and Juan Dolio is only 15 minutes from Bc whereas SD is about 40 minutes.

Posts: 4015Where does the van drop you off, Caribe Tours? I guess it could be worth it if you are on a tight budget.

It depends on the type of AirBnB, and what type of vacation you have planned. Remember, these are mainly apartments with security or someone in the lobby 24/7. You can get around that if you are driving, and the location has a parking garage with an elevator that goes to your floor. Another thing you have to keep in mind is that the apartments have neighbors, normally families, that didn't sign up for tourists partying and running hookers in an out at all times of the night. I have used them for the past couple of years, and I haven't had a problem, BUT I'm not running a bunch of hoes in there either. I use cabanas for that. I bring my main chica in with no problems. I'm not saying that you are going to be doing any of these things, but if you want to bring a bunch of hookers into your room, then a hotel is probably the best option.

Posts: 13Are AirBNB's guest friendly in Santo Domingo?
Wondering if anyone has tried bringing ladies up to AirBNBs in Santo Domingo. Looked around the forum and surprisingly didn't find any mention of this.
Last time I was in Santo Domingo I stayed at the Hotel Casona Dorada. It was completely guest friendly, but I still hate the eyes on me when bringing a girl through the lobby area. Plus the AirBNBs are often nicer and half the price of a hotel (at least that's very often the case in Colombia).

The price is 55 sometimes on hotwire 44 dollars. The van is private any body can get on. You have to act like you know. The van is on the back of drop off area.
