I think most of the recommendations from KyoHiromitsu are pretty good. But I have to disagree on the risks of getting HIV from a blow job, even from a Haitian. There is no HIV virus in saliva. Job. Why? I have taken public transport in SD many times. For me the only problem is that it can get very crowded. One wonders when they would cease taking passengers. Some can be sweaty like the day I sat very close next to a guy who had just finished playing soccer, LOL. Other than that I have no problems.

I love public transportation in the DR but I have made changes because of COVID. The smaller buses I don't take right now, Uber is just as good plus safer. On the smaller busses it gets very crowded and kids and grownups coughing. No sterilization process on the smaller buses. You might see small animals, beggars and bums on the smaller buses going local. I can go on the smaller bus from Santo Domingo to Boca chica for about 1.50 usd and it takes just 1-2 hours. The Uber for the same ride is about 11 usd and takes 40 minutes. Nice comfortable ride with music and a driver who isn't on a bus all day with people coughing.
