Honestly I just asked hotel front desk, they pointed me in right direction. One was on the road behind the hotel a few blocks toward the airport. One was on a side road the other direction. Without directions I wouldn't find either one they are pretty hidden but had a surprisingly large number of girls in both.

I stayed at Marriott Jaguar last time, and will again this time. Great place, with a casino. There's a club nearby and some Casas I hope still open. Security had to kick out a drunk chick from my room last time and they were super cool and laughing about it.

I've not found a good massage in SD. Avoid the touts in the Colonial Zone because they are ripoffs and not good massages. If you are willing to take 2 buses or a taxi to Don Julio beach there is an excellent massage girl on the beach there. I think her name is Mary. I think it was 500 P / hour for a great albeit no happy ending massage.

ANyone find any good cheap massage joints in Santo Domingo? I know asking for a rub and tug is a bit much there but it'the be nice to find a cheap legit massage place to go to.

Where should I stay in Santo Domingo? I'm looking for a place that's guest friendly and clean. I noted there are three Marriott properties in SD. Are they guest friendly?

To clarify what I was saying. I was looking for one place to stay for the week that could be in SD, La Romana or anywhere in between.

No worries because I rented a condo in Boca Chica on Airbnb for short money.

I am making a return visit the end of August and was thinking of trying Air BnB. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good place to stay from SD to La Romana? I would like to find something that is within walking distance to beach, malls, supermarket.

For economy accommodations I stay at Maison Gartreaux in Gascue (it's behind the Crowne Paza on the Malecon). Clean, quiet, breakfast around $30/ night. Not the best of neighborhoods but I've never had any trouble. Fifteen minute walk to Colonial Zone. Sometimes I splurge and stay at Napolitano for the great view and swimming pool but it's $100/ night. I'm pretty sure every place in DR is guest friendly.

I recently stayed at the embassy suites in SD. I suggest calling the hotels and asking, that's what I did and was told it was a 3 o dollar guest fee which they waved due to my level in their rewards program.

Segazona is on the end of el conde near the old Dennys. I'm hooked. A DJ playing house music and 2-4-1 drinks from 5 pm to 8 pm. The girls are friendly and having a good time. Guys you can easily pull from here if you aren't shy.

Yes, I happened to be there with a date and asked the waitress if she could tell me the name of the band that was playing such great music on the outdoor speakers. She returned with a copy of the CD to my amazement and did not ask for any money. Naturally, I tipped her well.

This is my final update good or bad about 317. It's now going to be called "Hareem" and is opening this Thursday or Friday with no cover. It looks small but we will see how that factors in.
