The cost is about US $53 to Puerto Plata or BB. Not too bad for a door to door service.

Posts: 3103I have taken that bus both ways
The bus takes maybe an hour more then driving a car but you have room and comfort on the bus. There only 3 stops and you can get some snacks and use your phone to organize your fucking. Same is true when landing in Santiago. The bus is a great option.

Posts: 4026If it is about airline tickets, dispute the credit card charge. If it was not paid by credit card I have no advice other than to use a credit card in the future.

Posts: 4026Use the bus, an uber from the north coast to Santo Domingo would be crazy expensive. Blackbeards, well you don't need me to say anything about it. There is more than enough Blackbeards content all over the Internet.

Posts: 4026Yes, there are touts in Santo Domingo. No, they are not on every corner like they are in Sosua. In Santo Domingo they post up outside hotels that cater to tourists and along the malecon. I get the Sosua scene. It's the guys I know who live there but don't own a bar, hotel, or restaurant who confuse me. I get bored in Sosua after a couple of hours.

Posts: 319There is also another bus line.
Both will stop in Puerto Plata. From there add about $5 for the taxi to BB.

Posts: 271Tip. Use the Metro Bus when traveling from Sosua to Santo Domingo. Its very efficient and clean (AC and bathroom).
It costs $10 and trip takes 4 1/2 hours -- It departs from the Texaco Station in Sosua every couple of hours.
