After going through previous post I Believe for guest friendly hotels it looks like Riazor and Casa conde hotel seem to better off than Hotel Mystik.

Hello,

I am new to this forum.

I am visiting Santo Domingo for 3- 4 days.

I will be staying at Hotel Mystik Gazcue area SD.

First timer to DR.

Any idea about action near hotel Mystik for semipros / hookup / getting laid etc.

Good single bars to get laid and with decent hookup potential.

I am in forties.

I have found some information on this forum.

More elaborate answer will be appreciated from senior members.

The casino at the renaissance has nothing but older lower quality. I was asked $100 and then $150. Quickly went to 3000 pesos. I passed way better quality on Conde.

Conde was good for me Asked anywhere from 3000 to 1500. Did not take the 1500 as I have had some bad experiences with lowball girls. Looks wise she was fine. Settled at 2000. I think hard bargaining could have gotten it to 1500.

Went by 2 casa de putas near the mystic. Again was quoted $100 which quickly went to 3000 pesos. I thought talent level was low.

Dominican cupid girls. Typical about 50% showed up. About 50% of those want to be courted. 50% are ready to go.

Stayed at the raizor. $65. Had one Dominican cupid girl show up without a ID. She was let in. Exchange at Franks was 45.40.

For me, I still have another 20 years before retirement. I don't have more money than time for that style. Besides I often wonder where those chicas who think someone should pay them for their time got that idea from . You are right! It is also not that I could not tell (she made it abundantly clear as well) but I am not into novias and never lie no matter how much I would like to bed an individual, a) not to hurt someone's feelings and b) not to have the lie bite me back in a foreign land. Are you talking about the SD or Samana? Since you are fluent in Spanish the whole game changes for you. I am only fluent in English so I won't tell you what I think; I will tell you what I know or have experienced. Most chicas DON'T speak English! Drinks and Dinner can lead you respectively to a hard dick and back in a casa or on the streets looking for relief. Of course minus the dinero you just wasted on the nice respectable chica looking for a serious relationship. Some speak English for business purposes in Sosua but that's 3 1/2 hours away on the north coast..

Well I did take their advice and decided that the best option was to rent a private driver. $80 each way. As for a trip report, the trip was somewhat uninspiring.

Yes, but it is still interesting to many people to know how you negotiated the $80 rides, whether you took the first taxi, or waited until everyone had gone, what time you arrived at Sosua, how you negotiated your ride back to Santiago, whether you used the same taxi for the return trip, whether you paid for a hotel room for an extra night in Sosua and checked out at midnight, and so on.

But I suppose being fluent in Spanish gives me an unfair advantage. I do believe many of the girls speak English. I love DR and will be returning. Right now I'm waiting for the horny whales to arrive in Samana. Did the Samana zipline the other day. Well worth the money. I miss not buying a motorcycle but I'm with a GF and that changed the paradigm. This trip is very different from my others but lots of fun. Grownman's 10 rules for the DR:

Never take a chica to a club but LEAVE with her when you are ready to leave.

Never take a chica out for dinner and drinks unless you know her and enjoy her company.

Never pay a chica up front.

Always asked how much is it for any service. Chicas, taxi, haircuts, ect.

Only keep a max of 2000 peso broken down in small bills (because that's how I roll).

The only stranger you can half trust is a fellow monger on vacation like you.

The capital is a very boring place on Mondays and Tuesdays unless you have a game plan. I would stick with Boca Chica because you don't need a game plan. There is some action, the beach, restaurants and hotels all in one small area. You won't need a cab to take you to places you never been. 2 days of Boca Chica is OK for the average monger who is short on time. SD takes some pre-planning. But hey you have been reading and SD sounds like the best option follow your gut.
