1800 $ was the original price in Canadian dollar I was staying for 21 days got it for 66 $ Canadian with Airbnb fees cleaning fees and the room per a night basically it was a dope pad with gym / security / pool etc I thought it was reasonable and basically the same price per a night you paid in usd and honestly I was paranoid he got in the elevator and show me come to my door and got right out and didn't leave until he watched me punch in the code I had 100,000 pesos on me my passport and my credit card and I'm 23 years old and the hallways had no cameras so if it got stolen it was to bad to sad if there was a safe with a key or my own code I couldn't care what got stolen as long as I have few bucks to the airport and my passport the air port so strict my my Dominican friend with a German passport came with us for a high school trip known him for 10 plus years and they thought he was tryna sneak out of Punta Cana with German passport we all made a scene before the trip leader had to confirm he was apart of the trip and barley caught our flight I'the rather be safe than sorry.

Always read the reviews. There are no additional charges. I love Airbnbs. I get units with pool and gym about 60 a night. With Uber the whole city can be done. Airbnb is an international company. No games are played or allowed.

Quick question on those who had stayed in AIRBNBs while in Santo Domingo. Is the cost that is stated on the website is what you paid for or did maybe you got hit with unexpected fees. I keep hearing horror stories about stays in AIRBNBs that people got hit with excessive fees after the check out. I mean once they got your credit card then they can add fees after you check out. Forget hurricane Fiona, we have a bigger problem coming to Santo Domingo and it's name is Mr E.

Got a hit from Mr E asking where I was at so I told him, I was going to meet momma but I had a few hours to spare. Mr E said he was at the nail salon and would be stuck there for awhile. Momma had asked me last week for 2 k pesos to go to the doctor for her asthma and prescriptions, so I gave it to her even though I know they have public doctors and her prescriptions aren't that much. Well when I met her this day she tried the same stunt and I called her on it and sent her home with cab fare. I don't mind being generous but don't over step your boundary and try to slide me on the new weekly plan. Dominicans always try to find some side hustle to run for more money. Plus now I could go hang with Mr E.

Mr E finished at the nail Solon and asked my location so I told him I was posted up at my cigar shop on El Conde. An hour later E arrived and we brought two bottles of rum for the table as the party was on and poppin. A few of my boys stopped by and Mr E called a girl. An hour later Mr E girl arrived and they left.

Mr E hit me up asking if I want to hit Boca Chica in the morning. I know plans change quickly with E so I told him to call me in the morning and we will see. I have never paid anything after checkout. Maybe those people broke something or left the place in disrepair. I leave a place just like I found it. All that has to be done is the bathroom and floors cleaned and the sheets changed. Hell, old girl even made the bed up before I checked out the other day. And the apartment person does not have your credit card, airbnb does.

Good to read the fine print though, or the big print for that matter. I stayed in one in Peru a few months back not realizing checkout was 8 am. I was up getting ready to leave anyway and received a message from the owner at 7:45 saying it is time to get the hell out. Who expects to be checking out at 8 am?

So I booked an air be&be in Santo Domingo after 30 ish hours I decided to leave.

1st reason when I was got to the air be&be I couldn't fill in the passcode to the door to get in and the guy next door looked drunk or just hella weird came up to my door started speaking pensive Spanish to me couldn't figure out what he was saying than was staying behind me while I tried to get into my air&be was scared he knew my code.

(p. S) no safe in it but it was in a good area over 1400 $ Talked them down from 1800 $ you can ask them for a special offer.

2nd reason was no safe for my passport and my money or credit cards wasn't worth the risk to lose all that especially when you know a guy was watching you trying to get into your place and you couldn't get rid of him.

So line a day half later I texted my host I don't want to stay here cause I don't feel safe cause the dude next door watched me type in password and they were out of town for the long holiday weekend prob couldn't change it for few days and didn't want to go out to just have my shit raided she had no problem I had to pay for one extra night demand by air be&be which was cool so I'm out 100 ish dollar instead of all my cash passport and credit cards.

She had no problem with me canceling like a day into my trip when she was expected to me make 1400 $ and left me a great review I did leave the place clean and did take some videos of the place in case she tried to say different but that was never needed.

Going to bless Old Kool's new thread with part of my report.

1 day before going to Santo Domingo I started talking to this chick on Cupid on the 25th. I acted like I was already in Gascue. She said that she works in Gascue and told me to pick her up from work at 4 pm on the 26th. I landed in Punta Cana at 1 pm and was going to have plenty of time to make it to Gascuse by 4. Or so I thought!

Went to Budget with my $210 reservation. Why this mf tell me the price would be $321? Talking about taxes. I said first of all taxes are clearly included in this. And if it was not where is anybody paying $111 taxes to rent a car for 3 days? We went back and forth and I showed my ass in front of a line that had formed behind me. He finally did whatever and made the price $221. I said okay but I will let them hear about this when I get to Santo Domingo. I signed the paper, but wrote a note next to it that I did not agree with that price being different from my reservation. He took that paper away and printed out another one saying I could not write anything on it. I said fuck that then. Cancel the reservation. And what is your name? I have been renting cars there for too many years and there always seems to be some bullshit.

So I went across to Nelly. I am no fool. I know how these Dominican car rental franchises are so I make reservations at both places. I told the girl I am here for my car. Now her ass tries the same bullshit. Tells me $345 for 3 days. How when this reservation says $219 bih? She said taxes. I blew the fuck up. You better fix that shit because right here at the bottom of this reservation it says ITBIS $28.19. And ITBIS is what bih? Damn right. The taxes! She finally made it right and told me to wait outside for her to bring the car from the back.

Why was I waiting out there like 30 minutes for her to bring the car? I am telling you. Then she brought the mf and the radio was not worth a shit. Knob was off and I could not hook my tablet and phone up to it like I usually do because the selector would not go to Aux. So off I went anyway.

Drove past Higuey flying. Dude I have never seen so many speed traps in DR before. The government is really trying to rake in some money. Then one pair of cops finally clocked me. The one with the radar gun tried to flag me over but I acted like I didn't see him. A few KMs down the road some other dudes clocked me but they jumped out in the highway to stop me. So it was either stop or run them over. I pulled over.

I know how to handle these guys. They started speaking to me in Spanish but I looked confused as shit and only spoke English to them. I could make out the sergeant saying to give him my license. So I gave my Thailand license as usual. That really throws their ass off. He could not figure it so he asked for my passport. I had to get out and get it out of the trunk. I gave it to him but I kept speaking in English and not understanding what he was saying in Spanish. Then this mf broke out the google translator app on his phone. Got damn! After all these years of fucking with these Dominican cops my ways have been ruined by a cell phone app.

So he was saying that I was going 118 in a 100. I played dumb and said I didn't see any signs. He said there is a sign every 2 km from the toll booth. He asked where I was going and I said I was going to the airport in Santo Domingo. He said oh you are leaving? I said yeah I am in a hurry to catch this flight. He said okay man. It is cool. But could you just give me a little something to get something to eat. I thought damn I got 750 pesos in the car and can not remember if there is another toll booth ahead and how much it costs. So I said yeah man I got you. I went back in the car and got 200 pesos out and gave it to him. 100 for each guy. They act like they had won the lotto. They gave my documents back and dapped me up and told me to have a good flight.

My first time paying off some Dominican cops! I have seen dudes talk about giving them 1000 and more pesos. Damn that shit. Start low. They are happy to get anything. Wish I would have thought to take a picture with those guys.

Now I am for sure going to be late picking old girl up. It was 4 pm when I reached Boca Chica. I video called her while driving saying I would be an hour late. She said okay. She would just wait at work. Then when I finally got downtown there was so much traffic that the GPS was saying it would be another 30 minutes to her job. I sent her a message and she was fine. So I finally got her. A midget Cardi be with some big ass titties!

Before leaving I sipped on a mid-morning hot coffee at Pacos Grande. Their dixie cups small coffee is nice way to use up those pesky small pesos coins.

I'm holding a four-wheel roller carry-on. I learned the hard way not to check in luggage, better to have options when airline travel logistics go wrong. I take a short brisk walk to the sweet masaje joint around the corner from Pacos. I was lugging the roller suitcase like a tourist.

The masaje place opens at noon and the first chica shows up on time at noon. She is a light skin cutie from villa mella that knows her job well. I store the luggage in the unused masage room, and grab a quick shower. The chica does the same. We go into the room. I find a chair to sit comfortably. I don't like using massage tables.
