I previously went to Santo Domingo in 1995 and am now returning after 26 years!

I fondly remember staying at the Jaragua Hotel. They had a piano bar in the lobby, a casino and a small night club where I would meet girls every night and take them back to my garden room in the back of the hotel.

Are hotel bars still a good place to meet pro and semi pro girls? Do they close early due to the curfew, or are they open to stay later since they are in the hotel?

Jaragua is still there. Merengue bar remodeled. Rotating stage that rarely rotates. Not even close to how it was in late 90's. Late 90's it was great. I am surprised to see you a moral angle being proffered up in here. The variety option with Airbnb is tremendous. You can have a broad range of features at very affordable prices in different locations. I am seeing and enjoying differrent areas in SD and Santiago. InDriver is a ride sharing service. And works just as well as Uber but you need to know your prices. InDriver has less overall availability. The entire city has always been open. Except lately for "toca de queda. " Taxis have always been available. Ever since the first time I visited here. And Uber was not big when I first moved here. I will admit, that had it been I might not have bought a car. Nah, that is not true. I do not agree with Mr. E much. But the idea of personal transportation that you control. Well that is priceless!
