I am thinking of visiting either Sosua or Santo Domingo during Holy Week, Thursday April 9th to Sunday April 12th. Which is the better city to visit? Will both cities be dead, will there be a mongering scene at all?

Let's start this again because you are getting bad advice. You asked a very specific question: will holy week be dead for mongering in both cities? At night, both cities will be dead. People spend time with there families during that period. Sosua beach will be packed with regular chicks during the day. Can you do well in a regular environment? Do you honestly think during holy week sosua will have an open air brothel taking place at night. Sosua has been historically dead at night during holy week sosua will not be a good option for you. Las terrazas is popping there will be some chicks in the game, but every night pops with nightlife during that period. You are comfortable pulling hot chicks in regular clubs like on Venezuela Ave you good. You cannot do well in regular clubs then might not work for you.

If you want quick cheap eats in el million la Locanda has good pizza. The car was next to Andres has good coffee. Galleros used to be in el milland and from galleros used to be short walk to MC. I was nearby last week and saw a sign that said MC bar. Maybe they reopened in a bar? We went by quickly. May have to investigate.

Hmmm. . . . checked google maps last night. There is a Bar Karaoke MC on the same block MC used to be. Francisco Prats Ramirez between defillo and carmen mendoza. The pics sort of look like legit bar but in some most of the customers appeared female. The comments say "original". One shot did look like the front room of the old MC. It almost looks like they converted the casa into a bar. I have a visitor spending the weekend with me so will not be able to scope it out, but it does have me curious. El Million is a nice residential area. It is a little off the beaten track (it's much closer to Herrera than it is to Zona Colonial). Boricua probably remembers the Penthouse, a casa on the top floor of a building near the corner of 27 de febrero and Privada. Now that uber eats is active in Santo Domingo, you will be fine in that neighborhood. You only need to leave when you want to leave. The other watch out for El Millon is the traffic on 27 de febrero. Basically, you are better off using Sarasota or even the Malecon to get to Nunez de Caceres and then work your way north. I was going to go to Cozumel but what I'm reading is not encouraging. I've been to Costa Rica and while it was great, I'm looking for something different. It seems to me that Sosua and Santo Domingo are both good bets for the DR. Would anyone be willing to compare and contrast? I'd love a good relaxing beach, but the #1 priority is a nice variety of girls.
