I was there maybe 10 years ago. I thought it was decidedly second rate. First, check in took a long time. I was 59, my girl was 19 or 20. If you don't mind the walk of shame, no big deak except that it was slow. Then, the beach was not very clean. There wasn't frank garbage on the beach, but it wasn't pearly white sand either. Third, the food, while abundant, was mediocre. In this regard, maybe you like lots of french fries and over cooked meat, but I do not. Of course, its an all inclusive, and when I tried to bring in my GF's friend, it was a huge pain in the ass (and I wasn't even having sex with her! Then, I like top shelf scotch (or at least Black Label or better); they had something, but it was extra and annoying. Finally, AND BY FAR MOST IMPORTANTLY, check out required over one hour. I was ready to walk out without paying whatever I owed the place I was so steamed.

I was soooooo happy to get out of there.

I would keep in mind that this was many years ago, but I doubt the infrastructure is any better. They do have shows at night and plenty of water sports, but it was a disappointment. My girl, who was from Santiago, was not as unhappy (except for the check out, which pissed everyone off).

Trip Advisor gives it a good rating, but a few people point out that the infrastructure is problematic and that they nickle and dime their customers.

BTW: I have never found a GF place in JD, despite a lot of effort except for Casa Hemingway. But if bringing in extra chicas is not necessary, it might be OK for you.

My Dominican girlfriend whatsapped my yesterday to tell me that I need a Dominican E-Ticket before arriving in the DR this weekend. When I asked what the hell that was, she sent me a url where you had to enter all of your information (passport number, dob, home address, how long you were going to stay, etc.) I filled everything out but when I went to pay for it, they showed a charge of 68 fucking dollars!

LOL. You know these women never know what they are talking about. That is just like most of them thinking a person needs a lawyer to apply for a visa. If you want to spend extra money then listen to them. She probably just googled and sent you the first site that came up instead of sending you the official site where it is free.

A friend in Brazil sent some website $200 to do her USA visa and she never heard from them again. All I could do was laugh because I had already sent her the link for the US embassy where she could do it herself.

We also have guys on this site that would rather pay a website $20 when they need proof of a return ticket instead of just buying a refundable return ticket and canceling it once they have the proof of purchase.

Which ever airlines you are traveling, open the website and scroll down to travel documents and there is option for e tickets, it's completely free and hassle less. You do need a e ticket to enter and exit DR

It was not that particular agency, but their website appeared similar. Also, prostitution is not illegal in the RD, but pimping is. Which is exactly that site advertises. I am surprised to see Tabu is still operating and still operating the same was as in the old days. I last frequented the place a good 25 years ago. At that time, there was Tabu 1 on Independencia near Soccoro Sanchez, next to Lapsus, and Tabu 2 near the Embajador entrance. The curtain off bench in the back was in use at that time. It used to cost slightly more than the many other available options around town and there were more attractive women there. It might be one of the last vestiges of Santo Domingo's good old days. It seems like Santo Domingo since became the place to work if you want to get higher fees with less competition. The last time I was there I got so tired of sifting through online nonsense I just gave up and resorted to old contacts. Online tip, any girl who refuses a video call or at least send unfiltered photos you should give a hard pass.
