    Rain?

Will someone help me out with what to expect, please? I'll be making my first trip about the first couple weeks of June. I guess I'll start with the south coast. Boca, Chica, San Cristobal, Bani. Then I suppose bus up north. Is it a get hammered all day, every day type of thing, like in Thailand, you think? Or maby just like a couple hours shower in the afternoon? That's going to suck if I'm trying to find my way around a new place and its pouring all day.

Thanks in advance for your info.

I was in the same boat not long ago. I had a cab that would do it for 225. I chose the bus because I meet a girl and I was glad I did. There are some major climbs and you don't want a cab that is unprepared breaking down somewhere out.

There is a differance between providing info on "what to expect" and mental masterbation.

Take the time to check out my post (most recently Cambodia) , I provide plenty of "hard facts," not a psudo-social comentary.

QUOTE=Jaosousa; 1147258]There is a thread called Politics in Dominican Republic, if Jackson wants to move the political posts there, that is his choice. I personally got tired of one ISG member who for a long time in his posts has bashed Obama and bashed the Northeast of the United States and I let it go many times and did not respond (I had enough of reading his misguided, untruthful posts, where I had to respond).

The ISG is not a political site per se. Prostitution and Politics will always be intertwined (politicians decide if prostitutes will be allowed in a certain area or not) , as such I don't think you can remove all Political conversations from a Monger site.

The politicians control the police in Santo Domingo. Streetwalkers were removed from the streets of Gazcue by the police. About 4 casas were recently closed in Gazcue, by the police, at the direction of politicians in Santo Domingo.

Planning a Monger trip to Santo Domingo, how can a guy know what to expect, unless he understands a little bit about the politics of Santo Domingo.

You call the Political posts here recently in this thread half ass, I would love to see you do better. I don't recall you ever posting one photo in the Santo Domingo thread and I can't remember when was the last time you posted a trip report in this thread. [/QUOTE]

    Just Relaying

I have no idea whats going to happen. I just know what my buddy tells me. I am suppose to be down there right now for 3 weeks. My buddy told me to hold up until Monday as the Mystik-13, where I am staying, might be closed down but I found its just the bar. I knew allowing Putas to troll the Bar was going to end badly for Marcos & Jose. My apartment is not scheduled to be ready until Monday. I planed to screw myself out the first couple of days so I can get down to business the remaining 19 days to explore. Either way I'm still going down Casa open or not. I have enough friends and other pursuits to keep busy. I put a call into the owner of 305 but I have yet to get a call back. Not to mention my Iphone is chalked full of every Puta I banged, liked or approached me in the Casino during my last 3 week stay. All but 3 numbers work. I knew just taking pics of pretty gurls and saving their number like a 17 year old college freshman on first day of school would come in handy. All the Putas I called are desperate for DOP. Should be an interesting couple of days.

Jao, I'm back at the Malecon center. I got a lower rate than last time.

If he lands at 9 in SDQ it will be 1 am At least by the time he arrives and by the time he settles in at a hotel it will be 2 a. M. And probably tired as fuck all. He can get laid in SDQ the one night he will be there, tell him to read up on the SDQ forum here and he'll be all set.
Good advice and the taxi prices seem right on. Heck it must be close to $100 just to go from Santiago to Sosua.

Thanks for the update. Any clue why Lapus was not shut down? Was it the residents protest that actually got the casas shut down? Just my two pesos but I really don't see any hotels getting shut down, what's your thought?

    thanks.

who will out bribe who. the dr lawyers will make money, some politicians will make money. in 305 i never saw anyone have sex onsite there and never heard of anyone being offered sex onsite there. the policia nacional would stop and visit inside of 305 every night i was there.

maybe some developer wants to put up a tower in that empty lot across the street from the mystik. 305 is owned by a foreigner and sky high and satin dolls are owned by foreigners. every time i was in 305 the mongers exited 305 with the chicas, no sex onsite there.

other casas with rooms on site for sex (and there are several) owned by dominicans are not being harassed by the dr government.

the spaniard del tiempo who built the luxury torre atiemar building in santo domingo, was arrested in spain in connection with a shipment of cocaine from santo domingo to spain, he is awaiting trial and has not been found guilty. the dominican government confirep001ed the building from his company and sold it for 34 million dollars.

from dominican watchdog: "real estate boom or money laundering in dominican republic. drug and mafia money, arturo del tiempo, torre atiemar and 1200kg of cocaine sent from the dominican republic to spain is probably just the top of the iceberg behind the recent years construction boom in santo domingo. what's more interesting is that president lionel fernandez has stated that this project was a model for foreign investments in his country. the spanish authorities suspect a powerful international network of large drug shipments is behind the case and which launders money by investing in the construction of residences and apartments. the photo to the left is president leonel fernandez who invited arturo del tiempo and his son to the president palace"

    http://dominicanwatchdog.org/dominic...nican_republic%3f.

dr doesn't need mongers spending honest money, just more drug money, that has to be laundered by building expensive buildings in the dr.

It may take a taxi 3-4 hours to drive to Sosua from the SDQ airport at 9pm (if it rains it will take longer) , to arrive into Sosua at midnight or 1am or later. Cost of the taxi probably more than $100US. There are hotels in Santo Domingo for $40 per night, a shared transfer from the sdq airport into Santo Domingo, around $16US, there might be pro chicas in Santo Domingo for 1000 pesos. The next morning early, the guy can take Caribe Express or Metro bus to Sosua from Santo Domingo for around $10US.

Do you know how much we each paid. 40 US each. Thats it! The guide took us around to all his shops he gets kick backs from and those tourists were buying cheap junk that added up to nothing! The average person probably spent 45 bucks. Hardly a 5 to 7 time money maker.

Cruise ships come in for hours, once again people eat on the boats, they arent spending 100's of dollars on food and booze. Yes there are many places in the world that make it on cruise ship ports where tourist spend on junk and tours but once again its not 5 to 7 and its not the DR as we know it now.

I don't understand your point about the girls. Why dismiss the money a girl has that goes into the clothing shop and buys 50 bucks of goods but mention tourists getting off cruise ships who will buy 5 dollar trinkets.

If the DR wants change and runs out the monger and they are successful sure the monger dollar may mean nothing someday.
I will post a response in the Politics in Dominican Republic thread.

Even at that it seems conservatie when you consider the amount of tourists compared to mongers.

I wish someone would take a trip soon so we can get back to talking about chicas. It will be three weeks for my next trip but I sure hope someone goes sooner, especially a newbie.
Hey I am with you. I could handle a good report and some pics!

You need to think volume and get away from that Sosua, North Coast mentality. No harm meant. At one time I had the Sosua mindset until I found out Sosua (north coast) is far, far, far from the typical DR.

Someone please write a trip report or somebody post some new pics. At this point I will be glad to see a picture of blue water, white sand, and a few palm trees. Guys your dollars don't mean shit!
