I've scoured this forum, websites etc. But is there a sticky / pinned post on the best places to stay budget / location / safety wise and what the talent charges hourly / overnight?

I find this comment to be interesting because virtually all of the pictures and videos of Dominican tutes working in Sosua that I have seen over the years depict dark-skinned women. Obviously, there are a lot of light-skinned Dominican women. But that's not mostly what I have seen guys showing us images of. At least not out of Sosua among working prostitutes. Instead, it's been nearly all dark-skinned women. If 70% of the women working as tutes in Sosua are light-skinned, then just by mere chance one should see pics and vids of lots of light-skinned women. And don't worry about the making rain crew. The making rain crew is 5 to 10 guys probably spending 30 usd to 50 usd each on drinks to show off in front of working girls.

What I have heard on many an occasion from people supposedly in the know (I have no direct experience with the DR myself) is that Santiago is the place to go to in the Dominican Republic if you want a higher selection of light-skinned women to choose from.

Sosua has about 2 or 3 hundred girls walking around. There is no competition trying to get girls. The girls are fighting trying to get guys. The girls come in every shade imaginable. There is some brofest sometimes but is very low key. Everyone seems to get along just fine. I am in my 60's and have no problem enjoying Sosua. You have good places to eat and beaches that you could walk to. Your biggest problem in Sosua is deciding which girl to pick. In santo Domingo there is no central place to find girls. You will need transportation and Spanish. Getting girls from internet is one of the best ways to hook up in Santo domingo. (all shades there as well) I have been been both places over 30 times. I know what I am saying.

I had to lookup " SSBBW" to see what that was. Honestly wouldn't the big / super sized women that are older from your home country be available without traveling? I agree. So little time! However, often times, I am done with one per day but they come, some cook, they clean and they sing and dance and I pay without ever asking "how much" and so it works. I go to Sosua (and to Santiago) for I like the relative "quiet" of a small place, not to speak of the openness that a beach regales you with. So my suggestion was a) because the gentleman has never been outside the US and b) presumably does not speak the local language and in Sosua, there are plenty of the people speaking English and into the hobby and c) no one else had responded to his queries.

The recommendation from those that have been on this forum for awhile is that, you should get to a place called Sosua, rather than Santo Domingo, the capital. The former is a contained, practically walk-able little town, while the capital could be nightmarish with its traffic snarls and the spread. In Sosua, you would also find people who speak your language and who are kindred souls making your life a lot easier. You may want to go to the Sosua forum and read. Final note, you may fly direct to an airport called Puerto Plata (POP) which is a stone's throw from Sosua but not sure, if it is still operating given the COVID scenario. Short of that you can fly to Santiago (STI) and then take an Uber to Sosua for about 3000 pesos ($50) in about a couple of hours.

P.S. Your choice is smart, the DR is close for someone (and it delivers), who has never been outside the country but be smarter, do not try the capital for your maiden venture.
