Yeah that can happen when you are a new tourist by yourself. I like Oasis better than Foxys but they don't open till 4 pm. When you go in places like that always ask the price in advance and pay it right away regarding drinks. If you don't ask the price, they got you at their mercy. If you want to stall for time do like MR E taught me years ago, ask for a menu. Pull the manager over and tell him what you are looking for and who he recommends. Yes, they are called Cabanas. They are all over SD and it's a little city so them on the west end of the malecon. My favorite is Queen cabanas on the malecon. It costs 800 pesos for 4 hours about I go from 2 am till about 8 am. It's plush, with the robes and slippers and quality furnishings, you won't want to leave.
