I don't know if my last post got posted as the internet was sloppy today. Ignore this one if the first one went through. I have sampled girls from all price ranges. When I got girls from tagged, they were ready to meet for 3 to 4 k for TLN but the quality is really bad and most of them are darker color. Personally I have not had any bad experiences with Uber. But then again I haven't had any bad experiences with Taxis (except the quality of the car), transporte publicos, or guaguas. Luck or skill? I don't have answer for that.

But reports I have received from Dominicans are that Uber is hit and miss. All have stories of the "ripoff" either with the cash option, out of the way routes, or surge charges (don't kill the messenger).

Uber is pushing hard into Santo Domingo este and going big. Huge billboard on Av. Padre Castellanos in the barrio. (Now before any of you so called experts get in my ass, I know that after you cross Puente Francisco del Rosario Sanchez heading west you are in Santo Domingo). Shit! Why do I even have to say that? Because the critics are up in here fierce and haven't yet figured out they don't count.

Glad you had a great time YoungDude. You trip report is another nail in the coffin of the idea that it's hard to monger in Santo Domingo. No getting jacked by flying into a tourist airport, no 5 hour bus ride. No being stuck in a puta pueblo and best of all an opportunity to view one of the few real cites in Republica Dominicana.

Oh, ok, I never had problems with Uber like some people report except the time a guy charged over 70 k in Medellin because he do not close the ride. I complained and it was corrected to 12 k.

Santo Domingo 2019 notes. First extended stay vaca in SD.

Why I love SD:

Uber. Love it. Airport trips and getting around town isn't a rip off battle.

Hardly any hustlers on the streets anywhere in SD.

WiFi everywhere. Didn't really feel the need to be "connected" all the time.

Spanish in the DR is easier to understand than Cuban spanish.

Tinder is money, just have to start early and weed through the no personality chicas. I still need to try the other options. Tagged, Dominicancupid.

I love the private air be&be apartments that give you an easy access garage entry remote. Utilize to just bring in women whenever you want. Yes, I do the sit down and size them up to ensure I don't have any issues later on. I stayed in the Piantini area and enjoyed the higher end scenery.

Taxis are a rip off. Such games with pretending to go the wrong way and be in a bad neighborhood. Stupid. Did it once on this trip and never again. I love telling the taxis no as I book an Uber in front of them.

Power outage in certain blocks on Sat night the 9th and again on the 15th. That was weird. Half of the colonial zone was drinking in the dark haha.

Jaragua casino / Merengue bar. Thursday-Saturday night 12:30 am. Wow, still solid talent. Even some lone chicas playing the slots. I think this place needs to be a starting point for all mongers Thur-Sat.
