I agree the Hilton is the nicest hotel in Santo Domingo. However, note that while they will allow ou to bring in a guest as long as she has valid ID, they WILL charge you a $30USD visitor's fee per night per guest for the privelige.

It will show up on your bill as a Visitor's fee.

The Intercontinental charges a similar fee but it is $25.

There is an excellent taxi guy that works outside el Mercure that is a "tigre", he is young and knows every place and almost every girl, he is very popular with girls, his name is Sammy. Last time he took us to some places, including Casa Teresa after closing time, there were a few girls hanging outside. 1500 was their price and back to the Mercure it was. Next time he is going to give us an extensive tour, he sure knows every place. We asked him to go to an ATM to pay him and he say no problem you can pay me tomorrow.

We went to in front of Lapsus, Tabu, La Parada, also to a place that has a pool inside that I do not remember the name and to a bar in the city, but Casa Teresa girls were to gourgeous to be ignored.
