I don't know why it is only Domimicans that have so much trouble figuring out how to put where they live or even knowing where they live. Okay. I have always said The Philippines is the mirror image on the other side of the world of DR and the same thing happens there. But nowhere besides the two places.

I was gearing up to go see her the other day when my girlfriend was busy. I told her to send the location. Why is this b 2 hours and a half away in Las Terrenas? Then when I told her I was not coming there she had the nerve to ask why not.

Been talking to another chick the same amount of time. She told me that she lives in Boca Chica. I am right now on my way to Boca Chica so I asked her to send the location. Why the fuck did she tell me to put Jumbo San Pedro de Marcoris in my GPS? I said you told me you live in Boca Chica. She said it is in Boca Chica but 15 minutes away. No. San Pedro is at least 30 minutes from Boca Chica. These are some of the dumbest broads on the planet.

Dominicans suck at maps and directions. Some less educated ones call the country Santo Domingo same as the US is nueva York. I used to crack up when I told them I was from nueva York and they asked que parte. Miami? Boston? Now if I say I live in Santo Domingo some say "yo tambien, en puerto plata". They will argue that puerto plata is in Santo Domingo even though it is five hours away.

Half the time I check out a bar or restaurant on google maps, I want to see pics of the place. Half the time some or all of the pics are of people in their living room, or food on a kitchen table.

Some will also not have a clue what their address or where they live is. Went to visit one girl in Cotui and asked where she lived. I asked for the intersection in case her phone was flakey when I got to town. She named two streets. I look on a map and said "great, we can go play some billar". She asked where. I said the place a block away from your house. She had no clue and never heard of the place. They tell you where you enter their neighborhood or barrio, not where their house is. She lived like 12 blocks away and on neither of the streets she named.

I laughed and thought of you saying this last week. I'm currently in Cali Colombia and met this chick on line. Her profile says Cali. We chatted and I send her my location link on whatsapp and she says she is close. I go to send an uber for her and notice its roughly $75 US. The Fuq? This chick lives in Buena Ventura damn near 2 hours away. I cancelled that ride.

Love Cali! First trip there was 1999. I dated a girl from Palmira a few times. She always took bus into Cali then taxi from bus station to viejo barril and I would pay the taxi. Had a customer from buena Ventura that was hot. She invited me to visit there but never made it.

Dominicans use vaina a ton. Versatile slang word. Most say diligencia, sometimes they say haciendo o atendiendo unas cosas, some will say haciendo unas vainas. Tarea? Nope. They will understand if someone says it, but never use it for errands. They may joke about it if someone gave them errands to do. If I asked GF to go to bank, pay electric, then buy milk and butter at supermarket, she may joke that she has homework or tarea. If someone called her while she was doing it, she would say diligencia.

Look at it from a different perspective amigo. If that's really your girlfriend then its not crazy for her to ask you to spend time with her 17 yr old son. Yeah you're banging his mom but in her eyes you could be a huge male figure in his life. Hell just your knowledge on how to deal with different females could prove useful to the kid. So don't be a scrooge especially if the child is cool. Spend a few hours with the young buck. Take him to the ho house.

Sprinkle some wisdom in his ear and get that kid some trim for Christmas.

Current GF has a 21 year old son. He told her he wants to meet me. Hang out. Show me around. She laughed and said I could show him around better than he could show me. He said that is impossible as he has lived here his whole life. LOL. Today I was in a bar in boca chica that I had visited for the first time before he was born.

For the record plantas in areas common may keep the elevators and the lights on in the common area, but they do nothing for you as individual. I know this because that is how I lived for 7 months. I did not even need 18 months (let alone 18 years) to figure out that I was not interested in sitting in the dark when the power went off. So, an inverter and two batteries, then four. Moving the batteries from apartment to apartment is not that difficult. Did it two times so far. I did not have to move them. There are always workers in those building where the "middle class" live that need a extra 100 pesos. How difficult is it to move something in a elevator? LOL!

Nose in the air living was not for me. So, I live in a working class neighborhood. Getting my hands dirty and putting in a little work does not bother me. My neighbors do the same thing as I do to keep the lights on. Inverter with two or four batteries. Once you get the thing installed and working you can forget about it. Lead acid batteries should be checked for water level and need to keep your connections clean. Use a little lime juice directly on the terminals or mixed with water and a toothbrush. Now installing it is real man work. The batteries and the inverter are heavy. I know this as I have participated in the installation of my system in two different apartments. A two real man job. Mos def! Also a little knowledge about basic electricity and you are good. One less thing! Now, where can I get 1st class internet with real speed at price that is not defined as highway robbery?

Who needs gringo sympathy? Dominicans do not need it and I do not give it. Where is the best place to get a steak in the Dominican Republic? Anyone have any ideas? Of topic? Maybe. But who is going to complain about it this time. LOL!

I damn near crashed the car laughing. I said that n-word (nio) is a grown man. She said he is a minor. He is only 17. I said what 17 year old wants to spend time with the man that is fucking his mom? None! He has friends to hang with. The last thing he wants is to be with his mom and her boyfriend. She acts like he is 3 years old.

Leaving Boca Chica yesterday there was an accident so the GPS routed me to the north side of Boca Chica, and down to pick of the highway farther west. During that detour we saw 5 big parties / bars and nobody in these barrios are wearing masks. Today I picked a chick up in Barrio 27 de Feb a little ways down from the floating bridge, and nobody in that barrio was wearing masks either.

When you are outside of the barrios, eg the popular public and tourist areas, then you see people wearing masks. I do not think the people are taking it as seriously as the government wants them to.
