Man the DR has had the best deals since the negative publicity of a few months ago. Flights direct from 120 usd each way, non stop (Orlando to SDQ). I've got airnbn owners calling me which is a first. I'm contemplating buying ticket months in advance but I see the flights creeping up around May. POP Airport is ridiculous if you haven't priced it lately but SDQ has frequency and prices that make the south coast golden.
Enjoy your upgrade Mr E, but be on best behavior in my city Please LOL.

I still have another report to go from my trip last month to DR, yet due to extenuating circumstances I have somehow found myself here again. This trip is looking alllll the way up from the last one.
First I booked a car for the lowest I have ever seen: $6/ day! I know I said I would get the SUV from now on. It was only $18, but since I didn't plan on driving out of town, I kept with the midsize. Then the chick at the car rental place for some reason emphasized her name and number on the paper. I asked why are you telling me that? She said just so I would know. She sees me all the time and saw me last time when I was with a chick there, so.
Topping it off, I fucked around and fell into a crib for your ass in Gascue. It is the floor under the penthouse. You put a code into the elevator and it takes you to your floor. And this is the only apartment for the floor. It is like some Mr. Drummond shit. The lady that is charge of renting it told me this type place sells for $150,000. And I am here for a grand total of $180 for 4 days. That is $45 per day. I usually pay that for a rinky dink hotel. I know where I am staying from now on. First chick is already on the way. I'm about to wild the fuck out.
P. S. Went to put my shit up and opened the door to a big ass cedar closet!

Posts: 4034Anyone who hands over money is part of the problem not part of the solution. We've been over this many times over the years. The police will use all sorts of nonsensical tricks to get you to hand over money. Stall, delay, intimidation, threats to tow your car. It's all nonsense. First of all only AMET (the traffic police) can give you a traffic ticket. If you make it clear you are in no hurry and as long as you don't get aggressive or loud they will eventually go away. You have to let them save face. I get it, if you are visiting for a handful of days it's not worth the time or trouble to save a few hundred pesos. If you drive regularly you see it differently.

Trip notes:
3rd dedicated trip to Santo Domingo. 5th overall to DR. Decent Spanish here. Brought my virgin buddy along. Zero Spanish, zero international travel experience, but enjoys mongering in the sex prison that is the US. *.
We stayed in Piantini in an Air be&be. Decent place. Had a nice second floor terrace to entertain groups of girls. Also had a pool side terrace that worked well when we wanted to split up and entertain. *.
I mostly worked my usual semi pros but did meet one civi from Tinder who was just super sweet. Met up for drinks in Colonial with her friend and my friend. Dinner two nights later and it was game on. Super toned body with easily double the's. Talk about fantasy sex. The best was that she was just down to earth and sweet. Love finding those diamonds. *.
My boy did a LOT of work on Tinder. We realized that paying for the superlikes (25 of them) and going that route really puts you in the front of the line. He also had moderate success talking and meeting a few women from Instagram. Most of us take the women over to whatsapp, but he also used IG as a tool to communicate. *.
I met two other ones from Tinder. Semi pros. Drinks at the Air be&be, amazing sex for a few hours. Zero discussion about money. Overpaid at $60 but damn service was siiiiiiick. *.
My buddy eventually got the lay of the land and was out on his own. He hit up Foxxys and Oasis more than once. Just blowing through the girls at $100/ session. Crazy fool. *.
I took him to GBP and he was shocked at how cheap that place was. Hahaha. Fun times to be had always. *.
I didn't see much in the way of cute SW's / parque chicas in the Colonial this time. I expected more of that. *.
For you vets, any approach angle on how you meet the local women in the malls? So many hotties in Downtown Center. *.
Probably the best two stories was my buddy did a repeat session with a chica who came to the Air be&be. I think they agreed to 2 hours and she showed up looking rough with the usual sob story about who really cares. Service was terrible and he gave her the boot after an hour and paid her half. I was pretty proud of him for doing that!
Second best story was that I met another chica from Tinder. Just hung out the first time. Nothing crazy. I invited her to Vent Lounge (love that place) for drinks and food with my buddy. Told her to bring a small bikini. She's a dancer and her body is sick!. She comes out in this little tiny G string bikini. Peoples eyes were popping. Anyways, afternoon goes along. We are popping $30 bottles haha. She's feeling good and some American chica in the pool comes over and makes conversation with us in English. My girl is feeling left out and just goes nuts in a jealous spasm. She was last seen storming out of Vent Lounge in her g string bikini with her ass shaking. Hahahah. Probably a blessing in disguise. But that ass. Mmmm.
That's it for now!*.

I know of at least three people that would not consider themselves expats who maintain cars and apartments here. With "me no like casa guy" it's personal. He has posts deleted from my blog for being argumentative with me. But the shadowing does promote exchange even when the forum is yesterdays news and close to being played out because of no real information being posted up in here by the off-islanders who should be in the position to provide insight into the current situation. There have been two individuals whom I helped: Coolgreg and MasterofNone. They came in here asked questions, had a great trip and then posted nothing. No trip report, nada. But "me no like casa" guy wants to take issue with me for providing information from the perspective of an Expat that might actually help an off-islander handle his business better. Why is that?

But I am going all over the country at a moment's notice. I never really have a plan when I go to DR. I just go with the flow. One moment I am off in La Vega and the next moment in San Francisco. I may stop to eat fish in Boca Chica on my way out to Juan Dolio. Before my fish is ready, I need to run by Ole to get me 3 bottles of Baldom hot sauce to take back to the States with me.
Then I need to run to old girl's place way across town to get my nails done. I like being mobile and moving on my own schedule, not on Uber's, Caribe Tours', or Metro's.
Next time I will probably head out to Bahia de Las Aguilas. That is 10 hours west by bus, but only 6 hours by car. And I want to stop where and when I want to stop. I might see some cool shit and want to pull over to experience it. All you can do is wave at it through the window when you are on a bus.
Next month when I get to Brazil me and girlfriend are doing the same thing. Only thing we have is a car rented. We are driving 14 hours down the coast from Natal to Salvador in 10 days stopping where we want to stop and seeing whatever we find interesting to see. That will be the life; not hopping on a bus to get to the next city then having to depend on other transportation to take us around. You only live once and I am trying to see and experience some shit while I am here, not just stick my dick into various holes. I am a tourist as well as a monger.

According to "me no like casa" guy (an off-islander) that keeps quoting me. He says I'm an outsider. I understand how he feels about that. But he needs to remember I'm Black by popular demand. I've been that way all my life I've been an outsider in my country of origin my entire life. And I'm an outsider in Republica Dominicana. And since off-islanders have nothing to learn from expats (or maybe it's just him), continue to handle their business how they choose. Dowhatchalike! Throw your money around. Don't go to casas (they manage to stay in business without your business). And don't worry that I'm I'll fucking your girls before you get here and after you leave for a fraction of the money you are giving them. That is unless they are simply pining away for you to return. Right?

How is is possible for Old Kool to quote me and tell me I'm the outsider when I can't even see his posts when I log in? OK, if after five years of living on the island my contributions are not valued by the off islanders talking shit in the forum, then it's better to be an outsider. If you take a look at Mr. E's post you see that even off-islanders handle their business differently and disagree. It's not something unique to being an Expat. LOL!

Posts: 118Are we overthinking this? I have used uber inside the capital with a girl that I was seeing and she connected with a female uber driver. I am not sure if there are many in the DR but she became our personal valet when we deicided to go to Juan Dolio or Boca Chica. Well worth the price. No different than anyone on this board trying to talk with an uber driver for making money off the books. It can be done.

When I travel between cities I use Metro & Caribe Tours for 7 bucks no need for Uber there. Now this an off Islander forum. Expats are the outsider here. The way us mongers handle our business should be very.
Different from an expat.
