I am staying at the Jaragua Hotel. Is there anything in walking distance from the hotel or will I need to uber?

For those who have stayed or visited the Jaragua, what are the best times for the bar, club and casino to look for chicas? Should I check the pool aslo?

I was at the Jaragua last Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. I went by the casino and bar a number of times, at all hours. During the daytime I saw few if any hookers. On Saturday night there were maybe ten or fifteen, but only one that I'd do, and then only if I had a good buzz. However, those three days are the sum total of my experience at the Jaragua. I'd take GoGo's word over mine if I were you.

It's probably not a good idea to drag a slutty looking hooker with tits falling out of her top back to your room. I did that and reception and the bellmen did not appear to be pleased.

Finally, yes, you can get to places like Foxy's on foot. But if you sweat like a pig, like I do, you'll want to take an Uber or taxi.

Question for the Santo Domingo pros, do you run across Venezuelan and Colombian hookers at the Jaragua? I didn't notice any, just based on their looks and accents. That seemed curious to me. Pre-Covid, Colombian freelancers and some Venezuelans could be found at premier hooker bars all over the world. I've run across them at the old Habano's and Veneto and the Ocean Sun Casino in Panama, old Del Rey and Cocal in Costa Rica, Escape in Hong Kong, Brix in Singapore, Spassos and Mixx in Bangkok. The Jaragua would seem like a logical place for them to go in Santo Domingo. But apparently from what I'm reading here, they're mostly at incalls and on internet sites.

Jaragua is a great choice and one of my favorite spots. Thursday to Sunday is a live band on a rotating stage. The wings and drinks are priced fairly. It's some beautiful working girls hanging out in the bar, but they will want 100 usd - 200 usd. The pool area is a great chill spot with some nice eye candy and working girls. Jaragua is walking distance to some nice spots. It's on the malecon so it's plenty of night time activities. El Conde is an easy 20 minute walk but don't do it at night until you develop a comfort zone.

Yea, I agree about traveling and learning the culture. That is the plan. My previous career I lived in Europe and S Korea, so getting out and talking to people is fun. My plan for Jaragus is days I want to rest or bad weather days. I think I can find enough to do there.

Two weeks is a long time in one place, so I would suggest a few road trips to nearby spots. Boca chica, San cristobal, and San Pedro are all within an hour. We have packs, malls and a subway. Don't just make it about pussy, get out no learn the culture and city.

You haven't traveled much so let's go over some basic rules: Don't let strangers feel you, up, maintain a comfort zone. Everyone on El Conde will try to hustle you so have on your game face and say NO. Brush up on basic Spanish before your trip. Go online and have fun but don't trust any of them. Be unpredictable, nobody need to chat you up about your personal info. I would even suggest you use a fake name, last thing you need is a stalking chica.

Knowing all your info. With the expats keep your mouth shut and just listen. Some good info comes that way. There have been a few phone snatched here lately so only use your phone in safe spots. Download the INDRIVER app and WASSAp.

Overall, you will move it here just take it slow, you have two weeks. I would take a day or two to learn the land.

Mongering is always risky. I had a similar experience in the same Discovery hotel but with a Dominican Cupid girl, not from el Conde. The first time all was perfect. The second day arranged toda la noche with her. I never arrange full night before I met her at least once. But one time is not always enough to know her.

P.S. The Discovery hotel is my favorite in Santo Domingo, stayed there 5 times. Poorly maintained, but cheap, has air condition, perfect location in Zona Colonial next to el Conde and some rooms have balkonies with view on standing chicas, though not so many of them and of street quality. But once I literally hooked up from the balkony. 2 chicas saw me smoking on the balkony and came under. I signed them to wait, went down and then back to the room with one of them.

He did not pay $100. He paid $183 plus the at least 2000 pesos (never said if it was each or together or how much he took from the ATM that ended up stolen) that was stolen from him. At what amount would you not give in to extortion? If they told him 20,000 pesos should he still pay it? If they told him 50,000 pesos would it still be a good move on his part? You were on roll my man. What happen to you was a nightmare. Much of it was your own fault. Do not feel too bad you lost a few hundred but it is only money. Lots of these girls carry blades and will use them when threaten. Doing a 3 some with girls you do not know in the DR is risky. The girls are inbolden when teamed up. The under age ploy was a winner. When I went to pay the taxi, I realized that the first streetwalker had pickpocketed all my cash when she rubbed up against me. So I asked the taxi to drive us all to an ATM, I withdrew another bunch of cash, and went back to the hotel. After a great time --truly high quality I have to say-- with the two that had picked me up, while still in the hotel, they suddenly both turned nasty. I have never had a problem with streetwalkers in Santo Domingo. Your first mistake was taking 2. I take it you have not read this forum at all. If you had then you would have known the risks of taking 2. And you went to a cabana with them only to leave your things unattended? May as well have saved that money and taken them to your hotel if you were going to let them rob you anyway.

Did they look underage? I have never seen a SW out there that looks underage. Many guys have posted to always check the ID. I never do that because I do not go for chicks that look underage. You could have saved yourself 10,000+ pesos by reading the forum and taking heed.

Glad you are okay. I was on El Conde till late last night so we probably walked past each other.

That corner has always been for thieves. Usually they have been kicked off Conde so the heavy police presence keeps them on the dark out skirts. You are the third guy in 6 months who got robbed on that corner. The last incident was when 3 girls approached a dude and snatched his gold necklace and ran away. Also that corner is known for, the occasional transformer.

Never let a stranger touch you. They have to respect your comfort zone. They actually let you off light thankfully. I've heard of them hitting their head on the wall and start yelling. Then mysteriously a cop pops up at the door and the girls say he hit her and she is very young. They then ask for 1000 usd for it to end there or they will have to take him to the station and it will cost 5 k. Usually they gladly pay the 1 k.

Also two girls for 2 k should have raised your suspicion. Any other girl in that area will charge a newbie 5 k and maybe lower it to 3 k.

Be careful drinking in that area late night because it's so many traps to fall into. Also try not to make your ATM runs late at night. Glad you are okay. Good luck.
