I am assuming the Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites are not chica friendly?
All the help you can get will only confuse you when you are a first timer that doesn't speak Spanish in Santo Domingo.

Just go to Boca chica, which is 35 minutes from SD and closer to the airport. Everything is walkable; Bars, discos, working girl houses and a beach.

The Conde gets boring quickly and the girls can be even more shady than BC.

No one ever listens when we tell them this and they end up paying 150 USD for a girl out the casa who usually does rush service. The girls on Conde will know you are new and run some kind of bullshit. Maybe BC might be too seedy for you but if you have money to throw around, good luck in SD.

You are correct about Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn. In the Colonial Zone a lot of guys stay at Hotel Roma on near the Conde on 19 de Marzo. The Penalba in front of the cathedral on the corner of the Conde and Arzobispo Merino is also girl friendly and closer in class to the Embassy Suites or Hampton Inn. The Palacio Hotel on Duarte near the Conde is also nice and accepts girls. You will find girls walking up and down the Conde. Prime time if late afternoon once the sun gets low and later. Search the forum for more details, it's all here.

    Taxi versus Uber (The Remix).

My girl spent the night and she had a early class this morning at a hospital (yes, that is correct: Medical Student) in Santo Domingo. I think it was a little before 7 AM and she was hitting Oper Taxi up in whatsapp. They were a little slow to respond so I said get on the phone. And I pulled out my iPhone to call her up a Uber (oh shit! I can hear the snickering now). She told me to wait. I called up program. Entered the destination and my location. Price estimate was 152 - 186 DOP with a 9 minute wait. My girl was like: "fuck that! Oper Taxi just told me 3 minutes". Thanked me. Gave me a kiss and she was out the door. Later, I asked her how much the taxi was to her destination: 250 DOP.

She is Dominican. She is paying with her own money. And medical students don't have a minute to waste. Now, I understand how some "struggle" to understand situations like this but I don't. Being a sexual tourist or sexpat with all the time in the world (and most of the money) allows one to leisurely move about the city (Santo Domingo and Santo Domingo Este) at ones own pace. I get that. What I don't get are sweeping statements that indicate a inability to step into the shoes of others and see their choices may make perfect sense to them.

In other Uber news: Waymo v, Uber trial. From CNET: "The trial kicked off on Monday with Waymo's lawyer Charles Verhoeven describing Uber as a cut-throat company that would do anything to win, including stealing from competitors and breaking the law. During Kalanick's testimony, Waymo attorney's showed him notes from a meeting held in late 2015 with members of Uber's self-driving project. The notes included a wish list that read: "source, all of their data, Tagging, road map, pound of flesh, IP".

Pound of flesh & IP. Wow! That's a smoking gun if I ever saw one! Good thing for him it isn't a murder trial. Because those notes go straight to showing motive.

That my man is some serious "man in the arena" game! I've passed the location many time not really paying attention to the name. A couple of my other buddies have told me they used to hang out at that spot too. Yesterday I passed it as I was returning home from running errands. It was about 5 PM. Things were just getting started.

Like I said in my post earlier, it's kinda hit or miss now. It's been about 2 years since I last went to that spot. I liked it, because I'm not a club guy, and it provided a nice open air environment with locals and music. Once, I was able to get a nice thick normal chica, meaning not an employee, to give me head in the parking lot in the back near the car washes. I have great memories there.

Yeah I hear. I've only been out there to use the cabanas one time, but I plan to investigate on my trip in April. I honestly would prefer a location closer to the water, even if it's only for viewing.

Billar Espana: I'll have to check it out.

Avenida Espana is jumping off. It's jam packed Thursday thru Sunday. Along with all the bars, restaurants, night clubs, colmados, and sidewalk food vendors, people also just side on the ocean side of the Avenida Espana hanging out, drinking, talking and listening to music. Heavy police presence is visible. The Texaco has finished it's major remodeling and is reopen for business and hotter than ever. That's right, I'm still claiming "east side"!

FYI, The girls there are also available for takeout. Overall I like Avenida Espana, and I could see myself living over there in some of the nicer more modern apartments.

Street food vendors are everywhere. Girls are also there but they are not there to fuck a gringo. Maybe you can make an introduction, get a number, and set something up for another day. Isabelita seems to have a colmado every two blocks with some set up in small alleys. Dominican salons and Banca lotteries round out the hood.

At night after 1 am I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night. I noticed some young hoodlums hanging in dark areas looking for a target to slip up.
