    Shoot me his umber

Uber is not going to make it in the DR without a redo. I will be in SD this week and could use a good driver. PM that number. What would a ride to SD from the airport cost.

Going back it wasn't a problem. 250 pesos from Boca Chica. The Uber driver asked me to cancel the trip so he can keep the money all to himself without Uber's is cut. However they were going to charge me 70 pesos for canceling the trip. I didn't mind. I even gave him 500 pesos. He gave me his number pm Me if anyone needs it.

I mentioned this casa as "nameless" in my message. I was looking for more than just one, particularly a list with names so I could research specific addresses. I found this very useful article giving exactly what I and I'm certain many others are looking for: http://guysnightlife.com/finding-gir...ican-republic/.

    Specifics: facts, addresses, prices, tips.

Am in Zona Colonial but could go wherever there are casas.

    Thanks!

    Correction on Uber report.

I almost forgot. One time while I was in Santo Domingo, I had a problem with my Uber connection. It kept spinning, like it was trying to connect. I turned off / restarted my mobile WiFi to reboot and problem was solved!

    Uber at airport.

I was in Santo Domingo for a month in Dec- Jan. I had no problem with a connection to the airport's WiFi to connect with Uber. If you leave out the airport, the WiFi isn't strong enough to hold. I had to communicate this with my driver as he drove by when he saw no one at the curb. No big deal. I even took it to and from when I came back the next week to rent a car for a few days from Nelly rent a car, which is located on the other side of the parking lot. I had a mobile WiFi unit by this time. My buddy came weeks later and had a problem connecting to the airport's WiFi but not with Uber. I still had no problem on that date with the WiFi connection. I'm not sure what service or kind of cellular he has. The five days he was there, we used Uber to get around centro Santo Domingo and Avenida Venezuela. My charges were $25-30 total for those day.

    Normally I agree

I agree with you, $30 to $40 is just abusive. There is a happy medium between the publico & that crazy high price. The guy who runs the transport unions by the way (Juan Hubieres) is lobbying hard against the proposed extension of the metro to the airport and through to Boca Chica. I think it just a matter of time before it happens. It might be a while but it's coming.

I do not mine drivers making a living but I hate being abused.

So the choice is not bad, the comparison is bad.

It was a bad test because I pay a 100 pesos for the publico at the airport.

Another young guy saw us arguing, gave me a look, and I said nothing I just followed him. 500 pesos to Boca Chica. Still more than Uber. The guy at the airport went to arguing with him and actually snatched one of my bag out the Like he was upset. You tried to hustle me and got outhustled by your countryman. I gave the driver $15 anyway.

    Taxi and Uber in SD

    Barra Payan.

It's an excellent place to get a sandwich. With several locations throughout Santo Domingo and Santo Domingo este you can use your smart phone with internet access in order to find the location nearest you. They are in google maps.

I have eaten in three different locations throughout both cities and have received consistently high quality food and drink. The service can be a bit slow. But I think the wait is worth it. And so have all my dates when we are out for a casual evening, take out or that post coital snack you sometimes need in order to recharge for that 3rd or 4th round (if you got it in ya).

Now, I'm not a professional restaurant critic. But for the misinformed a restaurant review is by it's very definition a opinion piece. Most restaurants are not casas, so most can be easily found on google maps if you have the correct name.

    As far as prices how about this: $ = 500 DOP $$ = 501 - 1000 DOP $$$ = 1001 - 2000 DOP $$ = 2001 - 3000 DOP $$ 3001+ DOP.

Average prices for this restaurant: $.

Are restaurant reviews useful information? I don't know. I'm not in your head. I don't know what you know. Mr. E said someone mentioned a restaurant in a post that he checked out and liked. And Mr. E is a DR vet!

I know everyone needs to eat. I know a few of you don't live here like do. So they don't have a bevy of lovely chicas parading through their apartment preparing home cooked meals in their underwear or less.

I hope this clears the air and helps a few of you get your panties out of a knot. Some of yall need to seriously put your big boy pants on. Because you be on some of that girly man shit! Girls air their grievances through social media. Men talk things out privately.

I am a man in the arena. I know the critics don't count.

So if you are feeling a little tense and up tight. Plan a trip to get down here. Grab some sun, rum and a chica. Get you nut. And take it easy.

Meanwhile back to my regularly scheduled enjoyment of life. Just pass me the hooka!

And the music was so good that if I closed my eyes and ignored the Spanish I could imagine that I wasn't in the Dominican Republic anymore. We dined in the outdoor section. Which (in my opinion) is always a lovely way to enjoy an evening when you live on a caribbean island (like I do).

But it's not for the Kia drivers. Strictly for those who put in work and don't mind spending the fruits of their labor on good food and drink. Took uber to get there. But I'm not a slave to the company with the founder that's a motherfucker and who's customer service (in my opinion) at the corporate level leaves much to be desired. Came back home in the personal car of the girl who met me there (holla)!

I've noticed a interesting trend. Most posts in the Dominican Republic forums don't contain any actual information other than the comments, preferences and opinions of the posters. Just watch and see if this continues to be true. In the meantime, I'm continuing to have a great time while sharing the useful things I've learned / I'm leaning while living here.
And where is the info in your piece other than the name of the joint?.The rest is just opinions regarding food and servers,Location and prices are a must when reviewing a restaurant.

And where is the factual info in your post other than the name of the joint?. Location and menu prices are essential in any restaurant's review besides the opinion about the offerings and service.
