2 planes landed at the same time so paying the 10 dollars took a long time plus the guy needed exact change. One guy working 250 people in line do the math. On the bright side there is a Bank Reserve next to the place to pay the entry fee. 45.7 is the going rate not bad. I get the cash and head for the Claro store for minutes on my phone. I roll upstairs to look for the GUA GUA. I did not see it for about 10 minutes which seemed like an hour. Waiting with patience is the lesson I would learn this day. I paid the American price 150 pesos plus 200 for cab in SD. This beats the hell out of $35 the cab drivers want.

I get to Santo Domingo 25 minutes later catch a cab to Casa Conde. They have my reservation but the room has no refrigerator which is a requirement. The rooms at casa Conde lovely but small. They ship me off to Conde Boutique 6 blocks away which is a mile when you are anxious "patience ". Once there sweating from the walk a very pretty chica checks me in. Room is a suite for 50 bucks really pretty with full kitchen but no working TV channels and internet took a while, patience this is the DR.

Being the greedy monger that I am I pushed back my 1st day chica to Thursday and arranged for the famous little sister to come from Cotui. Her phone was not working and we did not have a solid hook up plan only see you at Pacos after 5. It is now 7 and chicas at Pacos are banging on me. I am getting worried she is a no show " DR Life" 7:50 I get a message on way in cab. Yaaaaa. She is not a raving beauty but very petit and cute "turns me on" As it is late no time for prelims, back the room shower and rack time. In truth sex with her has not been great in the past. 2 reasons my performance and her anxiety as I used to bang her sister. I was on a mission to redeem my self. This night went off great shower massage 4 positions very nice. This was followed by 4 am sex which totally rocked. We both were very satisfied. I let her ride cow girl control. Mission accomplished. Anyone born in the Dominican Republic, whatever passport they hold, is exempt from paying the tourist visa fee. That is another reason the agents check passports. Passports show the birthplace.

There is a reason, albeit flimsy. Some country passports are exempt. Israel or South Korea for example. So the check is to "insure" an exempt person is not paying.

Just a quick reminder this is Santo Domingo. The amount of time you save depends on the number of other flights that arrive to clear immigration and customs when yours does. Although Tempoecorto speaks of theoretical time savings. When it comes to your position in line to clear immigration at Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) the savings in time is quite real. You walk straight to the line for immigration. While the others stand in line to purchase the Tourist card. Arrive at the same time three other flights arrive. Then you will understand the difference.

I have seen the tourist card line get real slow. There are times the idiots selling the card insist on checking passports. So instead of I hand you 10 bucks and get my card, you get new tourists stumbling through pockets and bags looking for passports, and then the idiots trying to look and feel important checking the passport. I have never gotten an answer as to what they are checking, probably because they have no idea. It is just their shot to feel important. Anything that can help avoid dealing with them is a plus.

To enter into the Dominican Republic you need to buy a tourist card. You can either buy it after you get off the plane, before going to customs, or you can buy it online. Either way it costs $10 US. If you buy it at the airport you will need cash. The tourist card is good for 1 entry into the country.

The last time I went to Santo Domingo it was a quick purchase. I paid, they gave me a receipt, showed it to customs and I was let through. I have not tried the online method but when in doubt just purchase it at the airport. When I was last there the wait was not too long. Just my two cents worth.

Boriman is right with the website address. You can go there and pay $10 with a credit card and get a copy of the tourist card which you can print out and that has a bar code. I met a chica (girl) online (FB) and that I've been talking to her to since May of 2015. We finally go our schedules together today with a time to meet. Then after all of that she wanted to bring a friend. I'm like hmmmm. Then when she is en route and she tells me she and her friend has no money and that I need to pay for the taxi. I'm like how much: 400 pesos. I'm like WTF! Where the fuck do you two live? Damn this is not really starting off very well.

Anyway, I'm waiting for them at Acuario National and they finally arrive. Now this is funny. I've only got a 500 peso note. And the drive has no change and a 500 peso note himself. As a side bar: Why would you be a business man working in cash all day and have no change in small bills. Some people on this forum roll out with nothing but in their pocket. But I digress. So, he does not want to leave the scene to get change and I'm not giving him a 100 peso tip. So, I have 250 pesos in small bills. The chicas scrounge up 50 pesos between the two of them and we offer him 300 pesos. He does not like it but he accepts our offer and drives off.

Well she is a stone cold 10! Dress in wedge heels, skinny jeans and a white top showing me a large dose of cleave. She is made up perfectly. Brunette with dark deep penetrating eyes and purple lipstick. Whoa! But her friend is only a 6. I'm like huh? Oh well, we talk a little bit outside the Acuario and walk down to hop in the Grand Jefe (Big Boss) mobile and head down to Andy's on Avenida Espana. Andy's is a sports bar that I don't like. But it's close and a known quantity.

Well we start off with beers and I'm getting the sense that I have made a rookie mistake. Everyone at the table is cold and standoffish. But then they get halfway through their beers and start to loosen up. Then when my friends start seeing me there and coming over to the table and greeting me the both start lighting up. My chica speaks bad English and the other one only understand some English and speaks only Spanish. So I'm speaking my bad Spanish and she's speaking her bad English and we are both translating back and forth for her friend. It's must have been a hilarious scene if you were that proverbial "fly on the wall". Prospects improved when she slid her chair closer to mine and leaned in closing the physical space between us. The conversation moved to: "Do I have a girlfriend here in the DR. No, (I lied). What type of women I like? (Ones that give good head and swallow). Did I like her skin color, hair color, etc? (Not sure, get naked for me and I'll let you know. She has a daughter, works in a store and goes to university. Only has one day a week free that she can see me. And asked me could she see me next week and what were going to do. She wanted to goto the beach. I told her no. I told her: She knows me now so she can come to my house. We need quiet time alone to get to know each other better before we go out again. Translation: You are going to have to fuck me in order for me to spend anymore money on you. When she told me her and a friend were hungry and it came time to order. She picked the appetizer plate for three. And here is where things went to the next level. During the time I've been talking to her online we discussed going out to dinner and her cooking for me. She remembered all of my food allergies and grilled the waitress in Spanish about what she wanted to order and made sure I could eat everything on the plate. She then informed me in English that everything on the plate would be fine for me. That was impressive.

The food came. It was sausage, fried chicken, pork, fried plantains, and French fries. The food was actually good. I don't know if I was hungry or just under the spell of my company because I usually don't like the food at Andy's. But I was in the mood to have fun and it was better than sitting in my apartment alone. Three rounds of beer, snack plate for three and the bill came to 1925 pesos with tip. She looked at the bill as I dropped two new crisp 1000 peso notes down for it. While I had my money clip out, although thoroughly depleted, I handed her a another new crisp 500 peso note for the taxi home for her and her friend. She leaned in real close and told me real low in that sexy sensual voice chicas have: "You are was a good boy". I laughed out loud. And from my expression realized that she did not say the right thing. She asked me how to say it in English and told her she should have said "You are a good man". She apologized and repeated to me what I had said to her. That's right baby, I am. Straight big baller up in dis be. LOL.

We hopped back into the truck to find her and friend a taxi. I thought she has a special one she wanted to take back and then I realized she was just looking for a any taxi to take back. I could have called her a good one but she didn't want me to do that. Just before dropping them off her friend made a point of thanking me profusely. Before she got out of the truck. Mine stayed in the truck for a minute to also thank me for the night out. Told me she enjoyed herself and then tried to give me this half way partial kiss on the lips / cheek. I laughed to myself. The she paused to ask me if I enjoyed myself. At which point I leaned in and so did she and gave me a real kiss. And I told her I did. A bit later she texted me to tell me she made it home and sent me kisses.

Final bill for the night:

Taxi: 750.

Food and drinks: 1925.

Total: 2675.

Not that bad for three people.

Yes, I made all the rookie mistakes you are told not too. I allowed a friend to come with her. I don't usually do that. But I've been talking to this girl for a while and she still wasn't comfortable meeting with me alone. And she was a stone cold ten. I decided to take that chance. It almost didn't work out. But in the end it did. I took them out and paid for both her and her friend. Another thing they say don't do. But they were not trying to work me or get over. Each time they wanted another round they would ask if they could have it. And when they got hungry she asked if she could order something. No assumptions. That's a good chica. Furthermore her friend liked one my friends and my chica asked if I could let him know. That's a social connection. Always a good thing.

Actually it's better to stick with what you prefer. And no man should be telling another man what he should prefer in a woman. I happen to prefer the non pros. I have found that usually they are not high mileage vehicles. I perceive them to be of higher quality, better personalities, and I receive better treatment. If you are honest with them they are quite accepting of the realities of the country they live in.

Have you tried this before? I always wanted to but knowing the way dominicans work, I feel like if I show them the reciet they won't know what it is and send me back to the tourist card line.

For my last entry into the country in December 2015. I purchased the my card online. Printed it out. And had no problems by passing the line to purchase one in the airport or having it accepted.
