Quick question on those who had stayed in AIRBNBs while in Santo Domingo. Is the cost that is stated on the website is what you paid for or did maybe you got hit with unexpected fees. I keep hearing horror stories about stays in AIRBNBs that people got hit with excessive fees after the check out. I mean once they got your credit card then they can add fees after you check out. Thanks for the info.

1 day before going to Santo Domingo I started talking to this chick on Cupid on the 25th. I acted like I was already in Gascue. She said that she works in Gascue and told me to pick her up from work at 4 pm on the 26th. I landed in Punta Cana at 1 pm and was going to have plenty of time to make it to Gascuse by 4. Or so I thought!

Went to Budget with my $210 reservation. Why this mf tell me the price would be $321? Talking about taxes. I said first of all taxes are clearly included in this. And if it was not where is anybody paying $111 taxes to rent a car for 3 days? We went back and forth and I showed my ass in front of a line that had formed behind me. He finally did whatever and made the price $221. I said okay but I will let them hear about this when I get to Santo Domingo. I signed the paper, but wrote a note next to it that I did not agree with that price being different from my reservation. He took that paper away and printed out another one saying I could not write anything on it. I said fuck that then. Cancel the reservation. And what is your name? I have been renting cars there for too many years and there always seems to be some bullshit.

So I went across to Nelly. I am no fool. I know how these Dominican car rental franchises are so I make reservations at both places. I told the girl I am here for my car. Now her ass tries the same bullshit. Tells me $345 for 3 days. How when this reservation says $219 bih? She said taxes. I blew the fuck up. You better fix that shit because right here at the bottom of this reservation it says ITBIS $28.19. And ITBIS is what bih? Damn right. The taxes! She finally made it right and told me to wait outside for her to bring the car from the back.

Why was I waiting out there like 30 minutes for her to bring the car? I am telling you. Then she brought the mf and the radio was not worth a shit. Knob was off and I could not hook my tablet and phone up to it like I usually do because the selector would not go to Aux. So off I went anyway.

Drove past Higuey flying. Dude I have never seen so many speed traps in DR before. The government is really trying to rake in some money. Then one pair of cops finally clocked me. The one with the radar gun tried to flag me over but I acted like I didn't see him. A few KMs down the road some other dudes clocked me but they jumped out in the highway to stop me. So it was either stop or run them over. I pulled over.

I know how to handle these guys. They started speaking to me in Spanish but I looked confused as shit and only spoke English to them. I could make out the sergeant saying to give him my license. So I gave my Thailand license as usual. That really throws their ass off. He could not figure it so he asked for my passport. I had to get out and get it out of the trunk. I gave it to him but I kept speaking in English and not understanding what he was saying in Spanish. Then this mf broke out the google translator app on his phone. Got damn! After all these years of fucking with these Dominican cops my ways have been ruined by a cell phone app.

So he was saying that I was going 118 in a 100. I played dumb and said I didn't see any signs. He said there is a sign every 2 km from the toll booth. He asked where I was going and I said I was going to the airport in Santo Domingo. He said oh you are leaving? I said yeah I am in a hurry to catch this flight. He said okay man. It is cool. But could you just give me a little something to get something to eat. I thought damn I got 750 pesos in the car and can not remember if there is another toll booth ahead and how much it costs. So I said yeah man I got you. I went back in the car and got 200 pesos out and gave it to him. 100 for each guy. They act like they had won the lotto. They gave my documents back and dapped me up and told me to have a good flight.

My first time paying off some Dominican cops! I have seen dudes talk about giving them 1000 and more pesos. Damn that shit. Start low. They are happy to get anything. Wish I would have thought to take a picture with those guys.

Now I am for sure going to be late picking old girl up. It was 4 pm when I reached Boca Chica. I video called her while driving saying I would be an hour late. She said okay. She would just wait at work. Then when I finally got downtown there was so much traffic that the GPS was saying it would be another 30 minutes to her job. I sent her a message and she was fine. So I finally got her. A midget Cardi be with some big ass titties!

I asked what she wanted to do and she didn't know. So right to the Airbnb we went. It was just down the street from her job. We sat on the couch and she tried fucking with the music on the TV. Before leaving I sipped on a mid-morning hot coffee at Pacos Grande. Their dixie cups small coffee is nice way to use up those pesky small pesos coins.

I'm holding a four-wheel roller carry-on. I learned the hard way not to check in luggage, better to have options when airline travel logistics go wrong. I take a short brisk walk to the sweet masaje joint around the corner from Pacos. I was lugging the roller suitcase like a tourist.

I'm planning a visit to DR early November.

I had enjoyed my past visits to DR. I have seen both the south and north coasts. This had been my first trip back since the VID. Santo Domingo seems to be getting by, but I remember a more vibrant experience last time. Many vendors are out and the scammers are still in full force. I had a few dates setup. The sister of a woman I had been with a few years ago. A 24 year old Dominican beauty who I was able to hang out with and get some food, but she was also down to drink and hand out in the air bnb. Was basically unlimited pops and I could take my time with anything I wanted. BBBJ but all FS was covered.
