I just got back, there was no evidence of a crackdown on any casa's or SW in Santo Domingo. If anything, they needed to crackdown on some of the SW between 305 and Jaguar casino on washingto blvd as some of them did not be out there. There were police all over that area and I do not go to casa's anymore, but all were open and police were not doing anything. SW were out in full force more than I have seen in the past.

Also, I stopped by Ruma Bar and cafe grill. (Rumba Cafe & Grill Santo Domingo Ave. 27 de Febrero casi esq. Máximo Gómez, Plaza 2000, 1er. Nivel Republica Dominicana 809 476 7849) I really like this place to go have a beer. You have no prostitution on site youhave to see if you get the girl to meet you later. There is an domincan manager who is spainish who will help you talk with girls if you need translation, but you cannot just ask girls to meet you later for sex. It has to be she likes you and wants to give you her number and meet you later then it is on you to work your magic. Again, this place is something differen from the casa point and shoot. It will require some effort to hook up with a girl. I saw a few hot chicks in there so even if you sit with one girl you can invite another one over for drinks. You buy drinks for girls and talk to them and you can give them a little tip if you like them at the end with your bill. I met a girl in there who was down but had no time to follow up. The girls all wear sexy white sailor uniforms.

Police are not stopping cars they are really focused on mortorconchos as they are trying to enforce permits that a lot of them have not paid so they are towing a lot of bikes. I was driving dominican style one day do not advise AMVET officer did not bat an eye and was just focused on motorconchos and pulling them over. I have not been pulled over in a year now, but people mistake me for a dark dominican. I guess good not sure, but you have to understand as you read my past notes spend a lot of time in the barrio and just hang with a lot of locals so my flow is not a point and shoot style.

Again, if anyone is planning on going soon no worries no crack down if anything opposite effect as dominican police know that these putas need their money and they will not stop them from making that. That is part of there culture. Unless they want to implement child support and then you will see a real backlash by the local men because they do not want to pay for their own babies. Sad, but true.

There is a new small hotel in Gazcue, Hostal San Francisco de Asis. It is located on Pasteur street, almost a block from Villar Hermanos. It is located in former facilities of Studio 54 casa. I understand it has the most convenient location of all small Gazcue hotels. It is a new place so I wonder if somebody who has recently traveled to SD has stayed there and can confirm if it is guest friendly. Prices are from $40, not bad. Street walkers seem to be less in la feria (churchil at malecon) but few in the area before km 12.

Jao is a great guy but is a bit sensitive. He dishes out and takes a lot of crap. He is the most knowledgeable guy on the site. His contributions are the very best and he a decent caring person. I do not always agree with him but I always respect him.

He emailed me completely out of the blue while I was in Medellin to tell me he was in Haiti and the DR. He sent me some photos and videos of both places and I sent him photos and videos I took while in Medellin. I'm sure he'll be back.

I will say I know less than anybody. There are no Cubans. The military can't be involved because people who are not military say they are owners. Girls on the Conde are not hooking because they carry notebooks and say they are students. And there are no casas in Santo Domingo because they were shut down in 2004 in the cracdown.

He gives information that none of us like to do at times, car rental prices, hotels in La Romania. You never know when this information might help you.
