Prosecutor General Francisco Domínguez Brito yesterday instructed all of the country's district attorneys to pursue prostitution as a criminal offense, assuring that its severity is considered immediately "after drug trafficking."

He also warned that the persecution is not against the people who are sexually abused with this business, but against the proprietors who "abuse the vulnerability and economic situation to operate them sexually and to obtain great benefits against their dignity"."All this, individually, affects our community, the law is clear and in regard to the principle of its applicability we are forced to act," stated Domínguez Brito.
The official's comments regarding prostitution's criminality contradict statements made on Monday by Supreme Court president Jorge Subero Isa, regarding the country's lack of sanctions against it.
In communiqué #05016, Domínguez Brito issued instructions to the public prosecutors regarding the persecution of commercial sexual operations, in compliance with Law 137-03 and Law 24-97.

Good thing I know a couple of el Conde tour guides who can set me up with some pussy. I was never a brothel kind of guy anyway. Still seems plausible to go to one of the girl clubs and arrange for a girl to meet after she gets off work, or the next day. Same thing with meeting semi or non-pros. No pimp, no problem. If the story gets out that Gringo's are getting arrested, there goes their tourism they're trying to beef up.

I also plan to visit Blue mall to meet a cute cougar and have sex with her, well, she can have sex with me if me make a trio with her 18 yrs old virgin daughter.
If someone is going to be on the city you can invite me for some drinks.
About this casa situation going to any of these places or pick a street chica is for losers. I can't imagine going to a chica and telling her 'hey baby lets have sex, I have a ham and cheese sandwich for you. ' If I go to a casa girls are going to lineup for me and beg me to choose them. Of course, they have to pay me to have sex with me.
I promise you guys I am going to write often so you can learn from me.
Mondays you can go to Jet Set with live bands. A good place to meet wealthy regular girls. Go to Shots to meet nice foreign chicas. Visit Segafredo and seduce the next table rich girl. Seducing poor Dominicans is for losers.

El dia is the equivalent of diarolibre, a free newspaper that's funded by advertising and published by a national daily (El Nacional, Listin Diario, El Caribe). So, what you find strange is not strange because it never happened.

Posts: 3103Is the anti brothel laws in affect
Prostituion is legal but fucking them is not. This makes no sence must be a mistake. I am thinking we are missing something in the translation. They plan to stake out the brothels and whatch them. If they are not in the casas how can they make arrests. What about the SWs. You guys on the ground let the fellows know what s going on. Last thing why are the casas allowed to be open. I just spoke to one of my SWs friends. She says that morenos chicas are being hassled by policia. She is very fair skinned and is not being bothered.

Posts: 3700If you have been visiting the DR for some years, you have seen this dance before. A new Mayor, a new Deputy of tourism, or just a new Deputy all flex when they take over. Usually in the DR that means its time to re-negotiate with the incoming regime. But their could be pressure from other countries, lets not forget that the DR President just had a meeting with Obama in CR. Also A Cuban casa owner that also lives in Miami partime said that their is a group of non-Dominicans that have been buying in Gascue, that don't want the casas there. Gascue is becoming the premier retirement spot for gringos. The malecon has new parks and family oriented venues. The casas have alot of power and I don't see them going anywhere soon.
Remember when Sosua went through its transition. There was supposed to be a kite tournament on Sosua beach, new vendors, sheets on clubs and a tourist friendly enviornment. This was two years ago and nada ahora. Then they were going to close the street and then the next week tables werent allowed. Parking enforcement, motochoncho enforcement and chica roundups came and went. That was "New Money" having to re-negotiate. The Dominicans are masters at telling you what you want to hear and showing initial action to get the "New Money". Then when the "New Money" gets fed up with the bs and balks, the next "New Money" comes into play.
But it makes you wonder with the timing. Two weeks before the Memorial day weekend? Kill tourism before an important Holiday? Maybe it was designed to make the family groups feel the DR was taking p4p serious. I'm selfish because I'm planning on living on the malecon in two years and I don't mess with casas girls. So this really means nothing to me.
