Just head west on the Malecon, you cannot miss it but you will take your life in your hands trying to cross the Malecon. Good Dominican food, great views and always a lively, mixed crowd.

Another place that is not mentioned very often is El Conocu. Also Dominican food and a bit of a tourist trap during the day but at night there are many Dominicans there enjoying the atmosphere and the hourly dance show. Located up the the street beside Manolos, just past the Jaguar Apartments. Great place to take a chica, guarantee she will love it.
    Much appreciated guys!

Pat'e Palo was where I spent my first ever night in the DR, seven years ago. I was there again last December and found it very expensive and I think over rated. There are better choices in that row of restaurants but wherever you go you cannot beat the atmosphere especially when there is a free concert happening in the Plaza Espana.

I am also interested in some mid-level type restaurants as well that is a nice place to take a chica to (non-Italian cuisine; just not a fan) ; but I am not looking to go to the "Ruth Chris" of Santo Domingo. Just looking for some nice places for a rib-eye or seafood.

    Thanks in advance!

Is there a map of SDQ or another monger maven out there, tell me it's not so.

How did you find this place without directions from Jaosousa?

I had that Parrillada thing slated for a go, just like Manolo's. But could not manage more than two days in SD. Are there other D' Luis in other / bigger cities in the DR. I certainly crave the mixed grills as you describe it here.

    Still in need for help.

So far all I have found out is that the hotel charges for 30 USD for "visitors" and that there is a place nearby called "Doll House". Can anyone add to this? Need more intel on Santo Domingo and you guys have never disappointed me.

What do you think about Monolo's as far as tasty food? I've read some comments online that range from terrific to terrible.

<<Any retarded person can laid in the DR, very easily, no need for detailed information

About time someone said this. Couple weeks ago, sitting at the restaurant at the Conde de Penalba in the evening it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Relax, wait a little, and some pretty nice ones turn up. What more do you need to know?
