However, I have found that San Pedro de Marcoris has an endless supply of willing women in the 18-30 age range if you speak Spanish. This is where one has to marvel at the advantages of the internet. Badoo and Tagged will provide you with more chicas than you can possibly screw. It works OK with these women if you use google translate and let them know in advance that you don't speak Spanish (I have friends who have been fine using this approach).
The other place I really enjoyed was Bayahibe. Fabulous seaside resort town and truly off the beaten path. There are lots of Italians there, which means that the food is terrific (although the Italian men are a bit obnoxious). This is a tiny town, but it was easy to convince chicas whom I met online to come visit me for a few nights. La Romana and San Pedro are not that far, and most of the girls online have no work and are delighted with the opportunity to meet a potential boyfriend or simply to get a nice pre $ent (I never never mention money to these girls but I am not foolish).
By the way, while your GF may be bi and very open minded, you will have a hard time finding openly bisexual girls in the DR. It is not Brazil!

I previously went to Santo Domingo in 1995 and am now returning after 26 years!
I fondly remember staying at the Jaragua Hotel. They had a piano bar in the lobby, a casino and a small night club where I would meet girls every night and take them back to my garden room in the back of the hotel.
Are hotel bars still a good place to meet pro and semi pro girls? Do they close early due to the curfew, or are they open to stay later since they are in the hotel?
I have also met a few Venezuelans online. Is $100 USD per day appropriate per 24 hours?
Thanks in advance for any insight.

You are 45 minutes - 1 hour from Boca Chica and Juan Dolio respectively.
Punta Cana is a family area. But what no one has figured out here is that, there are a lot of girls that work there. And by work I mean regular jobs. If you are bringing basic game and Spanish skills your can work the locals. Plus, Higuey is 45 minutes away. If you work online game there is not a girl that will not come see you in Punta Cana. And if you do not want to get stuck with an overnight your first date can be in the day where you can send her home after a half day or keep her if she passes muster. Punta Cana is where you can run down the non pros at will.
Do you home work and come back with more questions my man. You are welcome in advance!

I'm wanting to find a base of operation that allows for ease and variety of mongering but also has decent beach, access to pool (s) decent bars and restaurants. I am fortunate enough to have a decent budgeting and prefer GFE over ST at terma's. My secondary hope is to scout a place that I can spend next winter. While not always with me, I'm fortunate to have a GF who loves ladies as much as I do.
We finally scored in Punta Cana but it's clearly a family oriented area. From RTFF it seems SD is a good jump of pony. This old gringo is so green, I don't know what I don't know. You help is most appreciated.

My personal life experience has shown me the ability for anyone (man, girl, smart, dumb) to enjoy their life is dependent on their emotional intelligence and maturity. Something I have not seen any posters up in here address.

My post was really questioning the definition of "smart", as applied to women (or men for that matter). There's formal academic qualifications, and then there's "street smarts". Some OPs seem to place "my doctor chick" or "my lawyer chick" on a pedestal. I have been exposed to both in my professional career, and find the latter often lacking in common sense life skills, and in the ability to be truly happy with life.
As for women in general, I believe men rule the world.
But, women rule the men!
And I love women.
