As you approach the fork in the road where the large gas station is and several government buildings Venezia would be on the north side of independencia.

The balcony rooms are larger rooms with cooking facilities. The location is good especially for those new to SD as it is very close (4 blocks) to parque independencia and at night there are always a few street ladies nearby.

$45 a night with free WiFi in the room is not a bad deal.
There is some place nearby there on ave. independencia where many dominicans are waiting outside, some guy sits inside the building behind a glass window (silverish colored building). I don't know what those people are waiting for. There are many medical offices nearby there too (gascue the area around hotel riazor has many medical offices, plastic surgeons and others).

The communist party headquarters and a big lamp store are also on Avenida Indepedencia past the hotel navarro going east. I passed some other place that had a hand written sign offering rooms (habitaciones) on the north side of independencia a few blocks before the cemetery. In front of parque independencia there is some building that houses some television station.

Sometimes it is easier to walk to zona colonial from avenida pastuer and avenida Independencia, than take the car.

There is a modern style Carol pharmacy close by to hotel venezia on independencia, that pharmacy has a sign saying they are open 24/7. There is another pharmacy nearby, on the northwest corner, that is also open 24/7.

Looks like some of the rooms in hotel venezia have balconies from your photos.

    Hotel Venezia

hotel venezia is located on avenida independencia a five minute walk from pacos at el conde, and quite naturally chica friendly. the rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. the main entrance is a small iron gate where someone buzzes you in but you can buzz yourself out. adjacent to the hotel is a large parking lot with a motorized iron gate. there is a pico pollo, farmacia, fruit stand, juice stand, small colmado, and gas station with in one block of the hotel.

i have tried several times to make an online reservation but hotel venezia never replies. i arrived in santo domingo from las terrenas and needed a room for three nights. i took my chances and checked for availability. i was quoted $45 for one person, $50 for two people, and 300 pesos if i want a guest. i tell the desk clerk i will be having company in thirty minutes and hand her $140 for the three nights. i am expecting $5 change but she says that will be the charge for the guest. thirty minutes two chicas arrive and i escort them to my room. their chica policy is somewhat vague. i had chicas come and go the next two days and didn't pay anything extra.

the entire hotel is non-smoking so bring some air freshner or hang your head out the window. all in all the hotel is a nice alternative for a nice quiet room. there is an onsite restaurant, internet by the hour, cerveza, and booze all at hotel slightly inflated prices. all rooms have free high speed wifi.

there are no chicas hanging around the hotel.........

There is an awning covered walkway leading to the entrance door with a bouncer standing outside.

I didn't bother to go in because the price range I have read is a little steep for my wallet. Actually any casa in that area is out of my price range.

Walked there from Girls House. I was able to get some info about the club from the chicas at Girl's House and Sky High, apparently the club is owned by "Miguel El Cubano" or "Cuban Miguel" previous owner of Girl's House and Climax in Boca Chica. Anyway's the chicas seem to like Miguel and the way he runs his clubs. Couple of the chicas confessed they are thinking about moving over.

So I walked down Pasteur Street made a right at Villar Hermanos and spotted the neon sign for Club 305, went in very nice set up, spacious not crowded, about 25 chicas Wednesday and thrusday night, most of them between 6's and 7's maybe a couple of 8's (obviously that depends on your taste), some of the chicas live at the club and some live off premises. Pricing well, like all others they will start at 3500 but 2500 seems to work just fine. Drinks are expensive compared to Girls House and some others. I did not take any of the girls, but that does not mean any of the girls caught me eye, there are quite a few I saw I wouldn't mind sampling. Anyway I will be in Dom Rep again in about two weeks so I will definitely take sample something from the menu at 305.

Sorry, I didn't make up to that place my last trip. I will definitely try to find it my next trip. Problem with that place is that it is kind of a long ride from Gascue (neighborhood around Hotel Riazor) and usually the traffic on Avenida Kennedy near that location is usually terrible, especially now since they have about 4 lanes of Avenida Kennedy (autopista Duarte) closed for the construction of a new overpass. Across from Corripio helps, Corripio is an electronics chain store that they have throughout the Dom Rep, with the red awnings outside.

Thanks. Translation: There is no credit to anyone, not even female friends when they lack resources. Recursos=resources, I just learned that word. jajaja or hahaha.

Some chicas in msn when they say bye, they write bay.
