However it is a bit pricey if you have to get a taxi out there, wait for an hour, and return to Santo Domingo. Still, not to be missed. Get them while they are still young and fresh. You can find their ads on Mundoanuncio.com

There is also a place for non-sexual massage in zona colonial, last time I was there, 500 pesos for a massage.

A short light skin guy who is always on Pasteur showed me the place. That same short guy, I saw working at Girl's House at the front door. He told me there was another more expensive similar type massage place on cervantes, I thought he said the number was 55 cervantes or 155 cervantes, I checked both those numbered houses and didn't see any massage place.
From the back entrance for the Jaragua Hotel and Casino, take a right onto Avenida Independencia, the second street will be cervantes, make a left and it is on that street on the left before the supermarket.

It used to be (about 5 years ago) that there were a number of massage parlors not too far from the Jaragua casino and one could go, get a nice massage and a bit of sex. It was, if I remember correctly, not terribly expensive. This was one of my favorite lunchtime activities.
Then there was a crackdown, and my favorite daytime places were closed. Does anyone know if any massage parlors are currently available in or near the Zona Colonial?

The communist party headquarters and a big lamp store are also on Avenida Indepedencia past the hotel navarro going east. I passed some other place that had a hand written sign offering rooms (habitaciones) on the north side of independencia a few blocks before the cemetery. In front of parque independencia there is some building that houses some television station.
Sometimes it is easier to walk to zona colonial from avenida pastuer and avenida Independencia, than take the car.

As you approach the fork in the road where the large gas station is and several government buildings Venezia would be on the north side of independencia.
The balcony rooms are larger rooms with cooking facilities. The location is good especially for those new to SD as it is very close (4 blocks) to parque independencia and at night there are always a few street ladies nearby.
$45 a night with free WiFi in the room is not a bad deal.

There is a modern style Carol pharmacy close by to hotel venezia on independencia, that pharmacy has a sign saying they are open 24/7. There is another pharmacy nearby, on the northwest corner, that is also open 24/7.
Looks like some of the rooms in hotel venezia have balconies from your photos.
Thanks for posting.

hotel venezia is located on avenida independencia a five minute walk from pacos at el conde, and quite naturally chica friendly. the rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. the main entrance is a small iron gate where someone buzzes you in but you can buzz yourself out. adjacent to the hotel is a large parking lot with a motorized iron gate. there is a pico pollo, farmacia, fruit stand, juice stand, small colmado, and gas station with in one block of the hotel.
i have tried several times to make an online reservation but hotel venezia never replies. i arrived in santo domingo from las terrenas and needed a room for three nights. i took my chances and checked for availability. i was quoted $45 for one person, $50 for two people, and 300 pesos if i want a guest. i tell the desk clerk i will be having company in thirty minutes and hand her $140 for the three nights. i am expecting $5 change but she says that will be the charge for the guest. thirty minutes two chicas arrive and i escort them to my room. their chica policy is somewhat vague. i had chicas come and go the next two days and didn't pay anything extra.
the entire hotel is non-smoking so bring some air freshner or hang your head out the window. all in all the hotel is a nice alternative for a nice quiet room. there is an onsite restaurant, internet by the hour, cerveza, and booze all at hotel slightly inflated prices. all rooms have free high speed wifi.

there are no chicas hanging around the hotel.........
