Has anyone thought of renting a furnished apartment in Santo Domingo. Where would I go to get one or inquire about one. I am planning a week visit at the end of April and had problems getting chicas back to the room at Jaragua the last time in October. Plus, it would be cheaper in an apartment for a week vs. a room in a hotel at $80-110 per night. If I have to stay in a hotel, I thinking El Napolitano Hotel & Casino is the best choice. Any opinions?

The Jaragua Hotel is not girl-friendly.

last weekend dec 2, had the pleasure of being in santo domingo, stayed at the courtyard marriott on maximo gomez, it had free high speed internet in room and in the bar area. no problem bringing in girls. 79$u. s. a nite plus 26% tax. total 100$ u. s. remington palace, had about 35 beautiful women of all sizes and colors, 2000 pesos short term for 3 hrs and 4000 pesos for all nite. the jaquara casino had ladies all over the place looking for dates. hope this helps.

if any of you guys speak spanish, then hit on the bartenders at the jaragua casino. the bartenders are flirty and open-minded. i'm sure you two can work something out.

a lot of freelancers at the jaragua casino. especially from 11pm to 1:30am.

1) Good place to stay (reasonable price, girl friendly, location)
Marriot, Napolitano, etc. are girl-friendly. The Jaragua Hotel is not girl-friendly. The Marriot is around $100 per night and the Napolitano is around $80 per night.

2) Where to hobby (bars, clubs, daytime action, street?, escort, etc.)
Avoid escorts. They are over-rated and over-priced. Not much action during the day. Please see my previous post for more info.

3) What to pack/how to dress
During the day, wear shorts. But at night, wear long pants. Some clubs will not accept you if you wear shorts. Bring your sunglasses, sun tan lotion, condoms, etc.

4) Where to eat
What kind of food do you like?

5) Pricing
It's 2000 for 2 to 3 hours of fun.Or 5,000 to 7000 for the whole night.These prices are from massage parlors.So I just went to freelancers at the Jaragua Casino or restaurants or bars. The freelancers charged me 2,500 for the whole night.

6) Any other helpful info
Keep all of your personal belongings in a safe.

I have a day in Santo Domingo on Wednesday where I have nothing to do until 3 pm, when I take a taxi to the airport to go home. Thus, I am looking for some early action.

As the message parlors are all closed, I am uncertain what I should do. Of course, i could try and arrange a rendevous with a lady whom I meet at night on a private basis. But, are there any establishments open at that time?

Most of the massage parlors are now open. Elegante, Cisne, etc. are now open.

During the day, only 3 to 4 girls are working. And it is usually around 2,000 to 2,500 pesos for two hours of fun during the day.

Most of the girls sleep or go to hair salons during the day so you do not have many options.

So I recommend that you try the restaurants, malls, or internet cafes and find a non or semi-pro during the day.

I have a cab driver name Toni who speaks pretty good English. He can show you around the city and find a nice girl. His cell # is 809-772-6551.

I finaly found a hotel that answers my reservation email!!! O what joy...
Well when i arrive (27 sept) i will stay 3-4 days at the metur hotel in zone universitaria. The oweners are Germans, so i won't be afraid to run out of Bratwursts or Beer (that said is giving B & B an whole other meaning!!)...hahahahahhahahah

I will be in SD Dec. 19th for a week. I plan to stay at the Intercontinental Hotel. Can anyone tell me if this hotel is female guest friendly. I hear it is hard to get a girl to your room. What 4 or 5 star hotel that is nice in SD will not bother you when you bring a female back?

I was in SD a month ago and stayed at the Intercontinenal. Of the 3 hotels I stayed in it was in the middle as far as girl friendliness. One night I walked past the security guy with a girl (classy looking) and he said nothing. The next night I used the garage as was already suggested. That works great because you come out of the garage very close to the elevators so the chances of being stopped are pretty small. I am going back next week and will stay a different hotel (El Palacio). It was recommended by a member. I post the result of that visit when I return.

One member said he gave the security guard a tip but he didn't say how much. Make sure you do it before you bring a girl up as they don't like it to appear they're being bribed. Maybe someone else knows what a decent tip for a desk manager or security guard is.

It was about 12 months ago I was there. The Intercontinental is girl friendly but sometimes they charge a fee.

Bring the girl in through the parking garage and take the elevator straight up to your room. You will avoid security that way.

You do not need a car. If you do not speak spanish contact Mr Particular. He is an Amarican living there. When I went I had him pick me up at the airport. Show me arround for the first night and it made my trip MUCH better. I thought it was worth it.
