Took a cab for $5 to HK and checked into the Cascadas. The hotel is pretty decent for Tijuana standards. There was no noise and you could sleep peacefully. They even had a TV there. Anyways, I was told taking one girl to the room is free and for others I have to pay.

Yeah, I got that email too. I just don't like the "Terms and usage subject to change by management at any time." clause at the end. I would get it just for the no cover alone. Lets me freely exit and enter HK on busy nights without hassle.

Got mine yesterday. A couple of things.

Its 50 bucks which is paid right there. Its an actual hard / non flimsy card with a magnetic stripe (not sure if it works) on the back. They print your name on it and it expires 6 months from when you buy it.

The 25 drink coupon is a postcard sized thing. The lady (Monserath) or however you spell it told me that you have to use it the same day you purchase the card, and you have to use it all at once. She doesn't get there to the front desk until like 1 or 2 most days so I explained to her that I was leaving right now. She said she would make "an exception" to the rule and that I can use it next time I come in. Here's another kicker though. You have to use the coupon all at once. So example. You have to order a bucket of beers, or 6 shots of tequilla or whatever all at once. Thats the only part that sucks. I always roll there solo and don't drink alcohol while there. So its going to look silly having a bucket full of 8 cokes sitting next to me the whole time. This coupon is awesome if you drink a lot of beers or are rolling with a group of people. Anyways. I go down at least a few times a month so the 50 bucks is worth it to me because of the free drink and I usually get a lap dance so your first one is only 10 bucks. After 4-5 visits it will pay for itself. There are some other discrepancies too about some of the other things. This is what I heard. Can't confirm.

Free pick up to / from border-they will either pay the taxi driver your 5 bucks to get there from the border, or may start using a coupon system to give the taxi drivers when you get dropped off / leave right in front of HK.

Extra hotel time- Heard it was an additional 15 minutes so instead of 30 you get 45.

I have to get word about these and will ask next time I'm down. If its true, the taxi thing would be great. I know in the past if you called them from the border, they would send the Hong Kong van to pick you up. You have to wait for them though which is shitty. If they hook up the cab driver with a ticket like they do for chicks dances / fichas, then the taxi driver can cash them in at the end of the night, that would be awesome! Hopefully it goes that route. Any more info I will update the board.

Yes they usually show fights, I've watched boxing at both AB and HK, as well as UFC Fights at HK. It doesn't hurt to contact HK ahead of time to be sure.

I usually return on Sunday mornings about 7AM-7:30AM, in order to make the 9:30 AM Amtrak.

There is usually about a 5-10 minute wait at that time.

I thought about checking out HKC and catching the Cotto-Mayorga fight Saturday. I'll be driving down from OC and punting around 2 different options.

1. Come down to the Zona around 4 and stay and watch the fights and check out the chicas and go back and cross around 10 or 11.

2. Get there the same time, get a room at Cascadas and catch the fight and do a mini tour before calling it a night and crossing in the morning.

How about combining the options.
