You got to remember, the Captain is not so good with numbers. He recently posted that Adelita's only has about 20 girls on a weekend. He was only off by about 600%. Anyhow, the $22 mx fare to Rosarito sounds about right. No way they can charge $90 mx. I've taken the collectivos to Plaza Parajita in Sante Fe before for about $15, and that is about halfway to Rosarito.

How do you get RT tickets from collectivos when they run unscheduled trips and only take cash and you may never see them again? In my case I think I paid 90 pesos one way for 2 guys, so 45 pesos or $2.25 one way.

It's much cheaper than taking a taxi or UBER but still steep for people who commute to work everyday. They would line up 20 deep on Tijuana streets waiting for the vans to get home past 9 PM.

I walked from Revolucion to Madero Ave. (short walk) to take the collectivo so I'm assuming the place I caught it from is the same general area you caught it as I think you referenced that same street. I was (pleasantly) surprised at the insanely cheap price but I remember clearly that that's what it was and if I'm not mistaken they might've even had that $22.50 price posted somewhere on the van (I could be mistaken about the price posting but that's what I vaguely remember from when I took it over a year ago). Feel free to verify the price the next time you're in Tijuana, though I suppose it's also possible there was a price increase since the last time I took one of those vans (which was back in the summer of 2019). When I was taking the van from Rosarito back to Tijuana later in the afternoon I was on it with a bunch of young schoolkids, who I assume take it daily on their way from school back home.
