Posts: 10A quick web search brings back mainstream pages (Yahoo answers, etc) that all say yes you can bring your laptop to Mexico, don't have on it secret plans or pornography. Having neither, I figure I'm safe. Also they say don't bring like 10 unless you want to pay a tax or something but I'm not worried about that either with my one crappy & old laptop.

Millions people travel with lap tops every year. Not all of them arrested by CBP.
You are not supposed to take any secret or Top Secret docs or data home anyway, so they should not be in your lap tops. The worst risks are pornographic pictures or videos that may appear to have children. If tipped off, CBP may seize the lap tops and have agents search the disk contents.
I would not worry too much about it. If you do, rent a lock box at an US airport and store it there, or just ship the laptop home before hitting Mexico.

OK. So. What's the process like?
You get to the border, you have your luggage and your laptop bag. What does the US border official say?

Posts: 763I think T-Mobile has plans that include international data roaming for free. Also, most T-Mobile phones have WiFi calling so as long as you are on WiFi anywhere in the world you would receive calls and texts just as if you are in the USA.

Posts: 40My solution was to use my old iPhone and swap out the chip with a Telcel Sim card. These Telcel chips are sold for about $10 in most Oxxo stores. Then simply buy credit as needed.

I don't have a problem texting or calling the girls from Cali but not in Tijuana.
Any ideas Looking for a basic cheapo plan. Do I need to buy a Mexican phone too? Thanks

With respect to WiFi, I see ads for Cibercafé within a few blocks of HK, I can use those.

Beware of US export control laws when you bring your work computer into Mexico. You may have data on your computer which is not allowed to leave the US without proper export authorization. I can never fully leave my job and can't bring a work computer into Mexico, so I'm forced to come back to the US for a couple of hours ever couple of days.

Thanks to everyone for so much useful information. I have read lots and learned lots, so important before traveling!
So I plan on staying a few nights at Cascadas, getting a nice room. I'm already fantasizing about the bar girls I plan to bring up for lots of quickies, and the TLN I plan to have with the prettiest two SG or CL chicas I can find.
But first a practical question I haven't seen raised before: WIFI.
I saw an older review (on another site) that said WiFi at Cascadas was crap. Is this still true? Anyone got a firsthand account?
WiFi is very important to me since I need it for work (this will be a "working vacation" If the WiFi at Cascadas sucks, what's the closest place I can get good internet? Doesn't have to be free, I don't mind paying for what I use.
TIA for answering a Q out of the blue from a noob!

I got a BBJ from one during a lap dance. Didn't even expected it. We were just kissing and the next thing I knew.
Anyways, IMO the shaving cream girls are the most uninhibited girls especially after they bathe and get comfortable. So yeah, they are freaks. I think the key is that you have to show them you're clean (shower) before they get freaky on you.

OK, here's a question to the Vets of HK.
For the Shave cream show, the absolute standard is Carolina. She's always been friendly / flirty on the stage and chats me up while I'm sending the dollars her way. Just last week on Thursday night, I had a great time with Italia and her partner Sophie? Italia was a real cutie and speaks some English. I do the best I can but of course, she was interested in my brother. I tried to convince him to head up but he's currently in a relationship so he declines.
Anyone ever take a Shave cream chica upstairs? Are they as friendly as they appear on stage? Friendly and filthy at the same time? They get finger-banged a lot but I figured the shaving cream sterilizes everything.
