In my 24 years visiting Tijuana, most people I met were really respectful. However, on my last adventure I spoke to man at the bar that was telling me about some really strange abusive stuff he liked to do. When I didn't agree with him and his perspective he started to get hostile with me. So I do believe there is a sizeable contingent of men that mistreat the girls once in the room. They are just not usually in the circles I run in.

I almost got into a fight with someone who reacted the same way one time. And then a month later, another the-bag telling me the same thing about his rough style.

The positive thing about HK and most clubs are that the chicas have WA networks that warn each other which John requests what and what they have to do for their resources. I've seen some where they post the guys photo and warn the clubs, security and chicas to be on a look out for abusers. You don't think they handle their own business would be foolish. The guy may get away once or twice, but have a reputation that follows you. Some chicas do circuits around Mexico and some in European destinations. I am sure the Johns that degrade woman probably stick with street prostitutes in the USA That are pimped and drugged or desperate for the next dollar.

Sure, they can circulate a text or photo via whatsapps as much as they want, but honestly it wouldn't do anything. Club has too many patrons for anyone to remember anyone. In the dark lighting and crowd of a Saturday night, unless you're a celeb, you will never stand out. You will just blend into the crowd of 100's of other similar looking men. HK is a great venue for experiences you can't get elsewhere, but you got to think who's suffering to provide these experiences to you. If you have any humanity, it should make you at least a little sad and empathetic towards to the girls there and what they go through.

-Ans. The issue HK girls face when it comes to their mental state has to do something that comes from other girls, not mongers. Here is a scenario, when a girl stands to market herself and see another got picked up requires a certain level emotional callus on the part of the girl who is not picked. True, Not an HK girl but my favorite who I have known for nearly 15 years is a very sweet soul. Has always been very nice with me and I the same with her since the beginning. Maybe it's an act, or maybe not. I don't know. We have kept in touch with each other by text over the many years.

Amen brother. Years ago, I dated a girl that worked at Adelitas. She had 3 kids and was previously married to a taxi driver in Mexicali. He often used to smack her and his kids around with her having to put up with it because she had no job or alternatives to get out of the situation. This dude would get drunk late at night and then come home and wreak havoc on the family. Of course, he had other girlfriends as well. She said she got to the point where she couldn't take it anymore and she contemplated committing suicide. One night she said he came home drunk and she said she wanted to kill him. While lying in bed sleeping, she poured gasoline on the bed and lit a match to it. He was able to extinguish the fire and left the house. She called the police (who are generally worthless in these domestic situations) and they actually sided with her. They called him up and told him that if he ever returns to the house that he would go to jail for a long time. He never returned.

So here she is alone with no money and the need to pay rent, buy food, etc. She got a job at a Panasonic battery factory in Mexicali. She worked about 50 hours a week and made 70.00 a week. She had to take a taxi everyday to and from work and pay for baby sitting. After a short period of time she realized that this job would not meet her needs. She was exhausted and mentally and physically defeated. One day, she saw an ad in the paper for waitresses at a bar in Tijuana called Bar Tropical. So she went to Tijuana and interviewed with the Manager. They offered her the job, telling her how she should dress, etc and that they would give her on the job training. She went to work on her first day and sat with a line of women right where you enter the bar. She realized that this was not a waittress job but rather a job as a prostitute. She was upset at her naivete, realizing that she had been tricked and lied to. She said she sat for about two hours and a gringo from San Diego approached her and they went to a table together. He bought her a few drinks and then asked if she would like to go to Rosarito with her. She told him she couldn't leave the bar until her shift was over. The man proceeded to hand her a 100 dollar bill while buying her a few more drinks and exchanging phone numbers.

Upon receiving the 100 dollars and receiving 5 ficha tickets worth about 3. 00 each, she thought to herself, wow, this may not be so bad. That she could never make this kind of money anywhere else in Mexico. Soon enough, she started going arriba making 60-80 dollars each time, and realized that this money would help meet her needs to survive financially. After a few months she heard that more money could be made working in Adelitas and she went to work there. She told me that she generally worked from Thursday through Monday and averaged going arriba 4 times a day at 80.00 a pop. This money was in addition to the fichas that she redeemed. She said that management was extremely strict and that she had to be prompt, not miss any shifts and had to sell 10 drinks to clients daily. She said that she fell short on a few occasions of meeting her ficha quota and was sternly reprimanded and threatened with being fired. Her solution to ensure meeting the quota was to work extra hours. Usually 10-12 hours a day.

Now while all of the above sounds like a wonderful proposition, it was not as glamorous as it sounds. She stated that her mother and family would disown her if they found out what she was doing do she had to lie, telling them that she worked in a restaurant. She felt that she had no dignity and especially by allowing her body to be violated by some of the most crude, nasty men. Many were very nice to her but there were several that treated her poorly. She said she got to the point where as soon as she got to the room that she would detach herself from her own body to get through the session. She hated it but understood that this enabled her to support her family. To survive.

I ended up with my job getting transferred to Texas. We would see each other occasionally in border towns in Mexico but the relationship eventually died. We lost contact and that was the end of the story. So don't kid yourself when you think that these bar girls live glamorous lives. Sure, some of them may think they do, but the majority will tell you that it is a thankless, shitty job. Most of them will tell you that their goal was to be somebody in life but that lofty dream is the majority of time unattainable in Mexico. This is my perspective.
