I recently watched the Selena series on Netflix. It was actually pretty good. I'm surprised how many songs I was familiar with because of Tijuana. They must play her music a lot in La Zona.

Agree, I really enjoyed the first season and how much more they covered compared to the movie. I personally don't hear her music in Tijuana much anymore. But all the chicas know the songs.

Yeah I never listened to Banda as my ex hated it. I do enjoy listening to the various music that the chicas like as they are from different regions. Sinaloan chica liked Banda and a Sonoran liked cumbia. I don't have knowledge of Mexican music other than what they play in the USA I try to get their favorite song and add it to my workout playlist and I can workout and hopefully recall the specific lady.

Yeah Banda is something that grows on you and is definitely more of a guys sitting around drinking music as compared to the romantic stuff that the ladies like. Most of what they play in the US is the same. I grew up on the stuff going to parties in the OC so by the time I went to Tijuana air was all the same.

Nothing wrong with that. Every individual is different, and every situation is different. The main thing is if you have good judgement as to who you can trust. Some guys have poor judgement and they allow a chica to lead them down the wrong path. Only you truly know what you can handle and what you can't handle.

Years ago I was in Medellin Colombia and a puta I was hooking up with on a regular basis wanted me to go spend Christmas with her family in some poor barrio. She was a total sweetheart but there was no freaking way I'd feel safe hanging out with some hooker's family in some poor barrio in Colombia. That was just way out of my comfort zone. The chica kinda got offended by that and afterwards things were never the same between us. I felt bad for I guess hurting her feelings but we all have our limits as to how much risk we're willing to assume.

Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't want to visit family either especially for the holidays, as I have my own family. I would maybe see them in passing if visiting their hometown, but I feel more comfortable in American standard hotels with AC. I feel for the girls as they live in rough places with no AC.

I would like to visit Medellin, but my Spanish is nonexistent. My ex wife's brother married an American Colombian and she was psycho. I'm sure it isn't a good comparison as every once in a while you'll run across one and like you said, just set your limits like in investing or gambling. So far they've all been genuine and truly know how to take care of you like Thai women. I just don't have to travel half way across the world for it. I am going to see how things go with her after the lipo. I hold out hope it is still the same, but like you, know that shit will probably not be the same.

You can request songs at Chicago club. The DJ came over to ask what song I wanted, but I couldn't think as I was making out with a chica. Music was the last thing on my mind. I'm sure other clubs should take requests.

As long as you have money the DJ will play whatever you want. LOL My ex use to play a bunch of songs for me and it was always embarrassing.

Well I can understand that you two feel that way but why in the world do you feel you need to communicate that to them, couldn't you find any other excuse? Of course if she cared enough for you to invite you to spend time with her family during the holidays that would be an extremely hurtful thing to say. Some guys man, especially someone you're hoping to keep getting ass from. "Being with her wasn't the same" No shit.

I think social media has a lot to do with personal dissatisfaction with their bodies and lives. I believe in Karma and up front and honest with people I meet, you never know when you could run into them again in life. I had fun last night. Broke my rule of going to a chicas house. I spent the night and didn't plan on doing an overnighter. The regular really likes to cuddle and hug, which I needed and the other one texted me at 1 am because she couldn't sleep and hopes I'm having fun at HK, whatever that means.

Yes social media doesn't help with a woman's self esteem these days but even before social media the girls working in the bars would be getting boob jobs and ass implants.

Well that late night text might of been her just being home alone and sad but trying to play it cool that you were back in HK.

Yes, you have to complete it. The FMM is simply the immigration form that you have to fill out when you enter Mexico. It is no different from when you visit any other country around the world and the flight attendants give you an immigration form to complete on the flight for when you arrive at your destination. You can use the link listed below to complete it in advance and bring a printed copy with you for when you cross the border. It is supposed to be free if you are visiting for 7 days or less, and then its $30 if you are visiting for 8-180 days. There are some people who have been forced by MX border guards to pay for a 180 day FMM opposed to the free 7 day FMM during the time when travel was supposed to be restricted to "essential reasons" only, however, it appears that in recent weeks this practice has mostly stopped.

Man this is so true. I think we all need to be honest with ourselves. We all like to think we are great judges of character. But I think we need to self-assess our results. I read alot of horror stories here. Luck plays a part but I trust my gut 100%. And it has never steered me wrong. If you are a guy that has been repeatedly burned, you got to stop and assess what warning signs you are missing.

I am the go with the flow type of guy and if it is my time then it is my time. I test my limits all the time. Should have died numerous times, but still alive. I almost took my life after a deployment and my ex wife was there for me. I have no fear of dying and have numerous policies just in case so things are taken care of. I guess adrenaline rush is what I'm constantly chasing.

Not sure what else you have on your list so I might be stating the obvious or you just haven't grown a liking to it but try some Banda on your playlist. You can start with Banda El Recodo. It is a must for drinking music. I was lucky enough to see Vincente Fernandez in concert back when he could still sing good. Happy that his fall wasn't too serious and he supposedly is doing good. That will be a sad day in Mexico when he passes.
