Monday night although it was early like 8 pm, was about as empty as I've seen it ever. I never go in before 6 pm though. One girl talked to me, sex was 100 and she said the room was 30. It's a small, see-through fridge typically up against the wall. Always pre-stocked with 10 drinks - 100% impossible not to notice so your room must not have had the fridge for whatever reason. I think the fridge can be located in different areas depending on the room (not really something I've ever paid attention to honestly) but again it would be pretty much impossible to miss LOL. So maybe some rooms have it some rooms don't I really don't know. The rooms I've been in over the past several years have always had one.

My personal recommendation would be to not specifically ask for a room with a fridge (unless you really need one) as I suspect they'll use that as an excuse to upsell you to a more expensive room. What I suspect is going on is the "basic" rooms maybe used to not have mini fridges but they started putting the mini fridges in a lot of those rooms over the past couple of years or whatever. Everytime I've purchased a room at HK over the past few years, it's always been with my "VIP" card. Maybe the "VIP" status helped with them getting me a room with a fridge I don't know LOL. I just know that my rooms. Which is usually the lowest priced room. Have always had a fridge even though I've never explicitly asked for one.

Yea, the room was pretty small and there's no way I would've missed the fridge. I bought the VIP card at check-in and they were able to find me a room despite no reservation. My room #634. I bought my beverages from oxxo, so didn't really bother me.

Where's the fridge located? The room had floating night stands on both sides of the bed, there was also an empty shelf underneath the tv. Is the fridge normally under the TV? If so, it was not there, I just used that shelf to put dirty towels.

I got my $30 deposit back as well, but was not told if I lose the slip, I'd lose the deposit. I just knew the rules from reading the board.

I agree with you Dodgers regarding the Trolley. After my last trip on the trolley 2 weeks ago, I will never ride it again. There were two young looking dudes going from car to car harassing people. They were challenging riders to fighting them, making fun of riders' looks, pushing people, etc. There wasn't a trolley cop in sight.

I take the trolley to the border every visit and have never experienced problems and there are enough cops that get on / off that I am sure serious trouble makers are discouraged.

I even took my family on the extended trolley line last week from UTC to old town and they loved it.

I plan to move to San Diego and one criteria I have is the house must be within walking distance of trolley.

I plan to rely on the trolley extensively.

I hope I won't regret it.

Every room I've ever stayed in at Cascadas has had a fridge. That's part of what the $30/$50 deposit is for. It's a small see-through fridge.
