Got to the Zona and checked in my hotel. Hit HK about 5 PM. Going to break the report down to a few sections for people who do not like to read whole thing. This post is about some of the issues people complain about.

Change from meseros.

So I been reading people talking about some kind of issues with getting change. I paid more attention than I ever have before. No problem at all. It could be people complained to the bars or it could be they noticed I was checking but every meseros in HK, Tropical and Chicago all carefully showed me the bill I gave them and the change I got back. I know they always do that when I gave them the bill in the past. I have noticed an issue with change in the past but we talking 2 or 3 instances in all the times I been there over the years. I have lots of transactions each night / morning. So 2-3 times in all of those transactions is not bad imo. I have had the same percentage of issues in LOS Angeles area fast food places.

Quality of tequila / spiked drinks.

When I go to the Zona I drink a lot in all the clubs I go. Usually a shot a tequila with lime. Sometimes no lime. Sometimes with orange juice. After 2-3 drinks I get a water either from my room or from one of the local shops as I walk between clubs. I drink a lot of water because it prevents me from getting too drunk but I still get the relaxation from alcohol and fun buzzed feeling. I have done this on big cruise trips with drink package that I start drinking at 9 AM. Drink lots of water and party til 2 AM. I have done this when a friend and I put down an entire bottle of tequila or Johnny Walker together drink lots of water. On this trip April 15/16 I had at the very min 15 shots from HK, Tropical, Chicago and Adelitas. A few girls we had multiple drinks and even got a couple shots from the 3rd floor on Cascadas as we went to room so it was probably closer to 20 shots than 15. It could have been over 20 but not trying to exaggerate or brag just trying to accurately explain how much I drank from so many different places. I stayed up all night. Never went to sleep. I had extra strength vit based energy drink and water. No bad affects from spiked tequila. The 3rd floor cascadas had a different Don Juilio that I drank any where else. It was different. Every where else I asked and was supposed to be served Don Julio reposado. It was definitely not the same tequila all night even when removing the 3rd floor known different tequila from the equation. Still never got sick. Never felt my drinks were spiked. I drank with 4 different girls I had sex with. I drank with 5 girls I did not have sex with and a cool Mexican dude named Victor. No one spiked my drink. No one has ever spiked my drink on multiple visits a year. Over a decade of going to the Zona. In the last 5 years I been drinking the same amount with the heavy water drinking. More into the past I probably drank less and went and passed out some where.

The one thing people may say is bad.

I brought a girl up from Tropical at around 3-4 AM. She rocked my world for a couple hours. After all the sex and shower it was probably closer to 3 hours. A tropical mesero knocked on the door and asked if she was in the room and than said open the door. I thought this was some kind of safety check at first. I have herd they doing this and seen other things to indicate they checking on the girls. When I opened the door he said the girl is supposed to be working and selling beers. I need to buy a bucket of beer or she has to leave. I was showered and ready to move on but this girl had just rocked my world. I would glady buy her a bucket. She seemed she wanted to move on. I think her shift was over. So I said she would leave. At this point all was good. The mesero asked me for a tip. I firmly told him he just interrupted what was a good time for me and if anything he owed me something. He smiled and left. This has happened before at Tropical with a girl who is a kisser but not as fun. I do not see her anymore. After speaking to a couple girls I am friends with they say this kind of event is initiated by the girl. Maybe they just saying that to keep my money in their pockets who knows.

Over my 10 + years.

I have had some issues in the past. When one interacts with people enough times things happen. 2 or 3 times a mesero gave me bad change in the last 5 years. Over 10 years ago an 18 year old HK girl was horrible I got her up to the room. 4 years ago a Adelita girl was on her period. An Adelita mesero charged another person almost $200 for a bottle of what looked like cheap wine. It does not seem like what you complain to the Adelita management about. Overpriced wine. Girl bleeding while having sex. Adelitas does not seem like they care. I still go to Adelitas to look for fun girls. None of the best sexo have come from Adelitas but I have found a few fun girls there. Of the four clubs I go to the most (HK, Tropical, Chicago, and Adelitas) if there was one I would stop going to it would be Adelitas. The other 3 have been relatively good. Chicago does have a strong hustle to make money from its customers. That does seem to have gotten better. It could be because I have found very few girls I like from Chicago since I had my ATF in June 2020 on that magical weekend the clubs were open for a few days.

It sucks people have had bad experiences. It is the unfortunate side effect of dealing with people. We all have bad days and sometimes we end up with bad experiences from another person's bad day and / or bad choices.

My experiences in the Zona have been good for the most part.

I'm only going to Tijuana for a week (my first time next month). I don't live close enough to go to Tijuana frequently This will be my first time. I also don't enjoy drinking too much.

Is the HK VIP card worth it for a one time a year visitor? The only benefit I see is the 70% off rooms Monday and Tuesday.

Thanks to all who posted advice for my first sober trip to HK.

I don't intend to ever drink again, but I do sometimes miss the fun parts and it's reassuring to hear that fun can still be had if you "go in dry" (ha ha) at HK.

Friday lunch I pigged out in a AYCE Shabu place with friends over a few beers. A wingman dodged baby sitting Friday night and wanted to go to Tijuana; I obliged.

I felt so full on the way down, had to stop mid way to take a big dump in a burger joint off the freeway. It was not a good night. I was sitting around HK feeling so full and heavy, did not want to do anything. I went to the banos 5 times, dumping out all that food. I was looking for a few HK's favorites and HK was jammed packed with guys and girls Friday night, the hottest girls were very busy. Girls were standing wall to wall, smiling sweetly every time I walked past. Fat Dumb Fuck was there with his huge stomach and stupid grin, but did not attempt to hog the stage and steal the spot light as usual. I was not sure if I could even raise a hard on if I take a girl up.

Chavelas had a few new spinners, looking very cute. By 11 most of the hot girls in HK and Chavelas had been picked up. There were a lot fewer girls but the HK limos were still delivering dozens guys in droves. The line at the door stretched 20 deep and guys were still packing in. The best time to pick up girls in HK with the best selection is between 8-10. After that a lot would go AWOL.

One guy drinks a whole bottle of liquor by himself, stumbling on the street, slurred speech, spent 90 minutes in bed with a puta and could not pop. He wasted a night of fun with hot bar girls and his bros. If he drives back across the border and looks drunk, CBP would cuff him and call in CHP to do a DUI test. Big problem if get busted..

Thanks for the alcohol synopsis El Captain, believe me I know all about it as I am over 50 now and was in the Navy over 20 years, did a lot of drinking in the past. What I was saying is that I do not think it is a good idea to get wasted in the zona as people like to pray on people who are drunk and drugged up. I used to go by myself and I was always a lone wolf so I had to keep myself safe. Believe me I have fucked up before and been robbed by maseros and putas alike when drunk. Getting drunk in a bar in the US is a lot different then in a puta bar in the zona. But hey to each his own, go get drunk and drugged up if you like and see how it goes for you. Not my cup of tea as the Chinese would say. I like to be in control of my senses and myself. To each his own.

Blackthought's symptoms aren't normal signs of rophynol. I'm not discounting his experience at all.

I don't believe it is in HK's best interest to have drinks spiked. However, I am sure there are rogue meseros that have no problem doing so to pick some pockets. I do not believe it is common but I also know some very bad meseros.

Exactly. The chances to having a drink spiked at HK, are slim to none. Think about the ramifications if they get caught. They or there family could be killed. HK makes, big money, they are not going to let someone jeopardize there business, there are cameras everywhere and security.

It would take 2-3 people being involved to be successful and rip off multiple guys. That is just not going to happen. Is it possible, yes, but highly unlikely.

Now in Colombia and other places it is a common practice, but again I think this happens more at guy's apartment or night clubs.

I'm excited, but just a little apprehensive too. Quit drinking 2 1/2 years ago and I'm wondering how this will change things. Loved sucking back Polars in HK surrounded by sexy chicas. I expect it to feel much different this time being sober, but I hope it doesn't spoil it. I associated heavy drinking with fun for all of my adult life.

For anyone in a similar circumstance, what do you order? Is their coffee any good? Do you just have sodas? Fruit juice? How do the pesky meseros treat you? Wondering if I'd fit in better during the relatively sedate late morning / early afternoon hours than trying to hang late night?

Anyone care to share their personal experience or thoughts about this?

Generally dehydration is the headache, aches and other issues, are what other things bring.

Look. You and CS. I get it. Drink this, the chemicals. Etc. I get it. But.

But I can drink way more than this over 3 hrs if I want to, and 2 beers and 1 shot in me at 275 lbs over a few hours should not put me -down- and cause my date to think she's going to die having to stay up and keep an eye on her until _she could move again_ under her own command.

I could have drug her around the room by her hair and she could have done barely more than whimper out a disagreement.

My drink got spiked the first time I visited HK. I was projectile vomiting and was too afraid to fall asleep that I took an Uber to the ER at 4 am. They connected me to an IV and helped clean out my system. Now I only drink straight from the can and have been fine.

Macallan 15 whiskey seems very potent. Half a shot would give me a high like no other liquor. No more liquor shots for me. Too many risks. I would stick to just a couple beers in the club, would get so full before I get drunk.

If you decided to quit alcohol, it's good not getting back in it. Quitting is easy, I quit almost every week hehe. I would have a beer to have fun with the bro then cannot stop. Sucking down beer after beer all night does make hanging out fun, exciting and happy, but may cause erectile problems in bed.

HK does not serve coffee. Meseros would have to go to Azul for the weak mixed instant. It's bad for your health to suck down any of those sugary soft drinks, raising sugar and triglyceride levels in your blood, causing diabetes, strokes, heart attacks.

Nobody cares what you drink in the club. You don't have to show bravado knocking down shots after shots of hard liquor to have fun like groups of young guys. Many guys just order a bottle of water or juice. The orange juice is huge, fresh and natural, $5 for 22 Ozs. Tell the meseros to bring a glass with ice and it would last you all night.

The pineapple juice is also good. Pineapple and papaya extracts are used in meat tenderizers, sure make meats tender and juicy, potentially their natural ingredients have medicinal properties that can soften and dilate blood vessels, make them more flexible, clean out the arteries and prevent a number of cardiovascular diseases. A few guys swear these juices, including celery, boost their libido for multiple sessions a night.

I think it is great going sober, being drunk in the zona is a recipe for disaster. I am not completely alcohol free as I do enjoy a beer with dinner but I highest advise not getting drunk in the clubs.

I still drink beer most every evening with my dinner however I cut back last year eliminating unnecessary alcohol after I eat and replacing with Topo Chico since I love the carbonation feeling going down my throat like a beer. I never day drank and even when on vacation or in HK (better than a vacation) only start to drink after 7 P or 8 P and just light beers not too heavy with alcohol. Now when I return to San Diego or Imperial Beach I like to hang out in a bar and have a couple or few more light beers to celebrate my whoring for the day!

HK has a good mineral water in a can.

I don't drink alcohol.

I have an awesome time in the club and great sessions in the room. With full awareness and full appreciation.

I often get the cranberry drink or sometimes plain water. As needed.

Summary. HK club experience and room experience are amazing.

But, I cannot compare how it compares to the experience with drinking because I never drank alcohol. I have always been repulsed by the taste of alcohol.
