I wouldn't say you'd be disappointed. It is just different. I've stayed at both and much prefer Ticuan. Not just for the rooms but also:

- It is away from the zona which makes me feel a bit more comfortable as I feel I can take a breather from it for a bit. Also I hit some restaurants in the area easier and feel safe walking out for coffee at 9 AM.

- I can call escorts. If you don't do the escort scene then its no big deal but I do a lot (Actually prefer it) Most escorts will not go to Cascadas. But again, if you just want bar girls no prob.

- atmosphere. While the zona is the best, sometimes you just want to unwind and have a beer alone watching a game. Ticuans bar has always been my R&R spot after or before an escort.

- I can't fuck for 24 hours. So I consider comfort overall. I'd rather be at Ticuan during down time than at Cascadas.

Then again I can understand Cascadas is more convenient and less expensive. They both have pros and cons.

Personally, I couldn't stand being in Cascadas for 3 nights in a row. The zona gets old to me after a short period of time. I need to get away from there for a few hours.

I have no problems walking from Ticuan to the zona during daylight hours. The walk along Constitution is a bit shorter, but the walk along Revolution is a bit more enjoyable as there are more interesting shops and sights along the way. I've only walked it a night one time, nothing happened but I just didn't feel quite safe.

I've never rented the deluxe rooms at Cascadas, but, the upstairs rooms where I have stayed are a lot like the lower level rooms.

I agree. I've heard that there is no HEAT or AC in these rooms and windows open into the hallway. No outside view or air. Good Night sleep on top of a nightclub? Good luck with that. Get a decent room to sleep in somewhere else and use a short term motel. Bring your own towel or bed sheet if it grosses you out.

I have a Cascadas question for the regulars. After much thought for my next trip, I have decided to stay at the Cascadas to avoid the 17 dollar fee everytime I take a girl up. It seems crazy to pay 55 a night at the Ticuan and then pay 3 dollars to cab to Hk, and then pay 17 everytime I take a girl up, deal with the cum boy and only one towel. To only pay 60 dollars for a girl each time w / o the hotel fee seems tempting as hell. I am just burning through money a sit was. That being said, will I be disappointed in this plan after 3 nights. I understand that the lower floors have all the noise and I want my sleep, so I am assuming you guys don't recommend I stay on the lower floors. The rooms on the higher floors I understand are old but quiet. If I am wrong on those things please correct me.

With that said, do you think I will be let down if I actually go through with this for someone that always stays at the Ticuan, since those rooms are so nice. I don't want old roach motel rooms and I don't want 24 hours of music blaring. I am a little worried. What are the regulars opinions and advice on staying at Cascadas vs Ticuan. I will get the VIP card when I get there, and then check in so I can save 20. That's 35 a night which seems really cheap. I just hope the rooms don't look anything like the 30 minute rooms.

Also, it says I get half off lap dances with the VIP card. Does that mean I get 50% off the 40. 00 for 30 minutes in the VIP room, or is it 50% off one lap dance and thats it. Does the club give the girls back what they lost, or are they SOL. I imagine they won't be happy to see a VIP card, if they have to give lap dances for 50% off. Can someone comment on this.

Well I couldn't get down during the weekend, but was able to arrange time locally in SD on Monday and then get to the zona at night. Pretty slow for my expectations, everybody was saying "You should've been here yesterday", I know El Grito is the prime party night, just couldn't make it Sunday. I was hoping there'd be some residual partying, but it was just a slow Monday, nothing special. Watched MNF at AB, then spent most of my time at HK. Saw a few that I've been with before, and then ended up meeting a new girl I've never seen before, she turned out to be really cool and we had a great session.

The HK front entrance inside is boarded up for construction, where the desk used to be, they say they're putting in an elevator in that space. So I did the walk about, street, AB stayed HK.

After looking like a wall flower I finally sat and enjoyed the 1. 00 attention I got much more than the drink I bought Mimi.

After walking through the alley, I go into hk. As I'am walking in the door guys says I can't go in. I asked why not and he says because of your backpack. He said I needed to go to the other side to check in my backpack. I told him in the past, I have always carried my backpack. He said not anymore.

So I walk to the other side and the door guys pats me down and says I can't take my backpack in. So I give him my backpack, which he takes and I ask him for a ticket or receipt, like what most of the markets in Mexico do. He said you don't need it and your backpack will be safe. I thought they had cubicles to put stuff into, but he puts my backpack beneath the robes for the girls. Yes it is hidden, but still not very secure. Nothing of value in my backpack but still?

So I go inside with a not so great feeling about my backpack. So I get a seat and try to forget about it. While sitting there, two hands from behind cover my eyes. I turn around and it's Carolina from a while back. I'am amazed she still remembers me. I only went up with her once.

The girl at the front isn't management. She is just the customer service. She is only a handful of people there that speak great English. If she helps you out them you should have tipped her.

The meseros are like flys....but cmon guys its only a freaking dollar. If they try to rip you off then report them to the guy with the white shirt and tie. He is the management.

Is this the lady that often runs the customer service desk just inside the main entrance? I found her to be quite helpful and easy to deal with. These places have their rules and people at that level only enforce the existing rules that are set by the owners and upper management. Sometimes they bend those rules in our favor, such as the time she arranged the free VIP driver to take us to Ticuan rather than the normal trip the the border.

Like GSRR pointed out, you can spend $50 for a VIP card and never again worry about paying $4 at the door. That VIP card has several other perks that make it worth the money if you are going to visit HK more than about 5 times over the next 6-months.

I read lots of complaints about the waiters being too aggressive. These guys are just trying to make a living. Who has had an experience with waiters continuing to be pushy after they have been politely told "no"? Whenever I have said "no thank you", they have left me alone for a while, especially if I have a drink in my hand. They don't have individual waiters assigned to individual customers, so you can expect to have several waiters offer to get you a drink or a girl or some snacks or whatever. They have always been polite to me so I have no problem with their system.

Had the pleasure of visiting Tijuana last Saturday. Reached around 8 pm at the Border and walked through. Cab charges $5. Took a double room at Cascadas for $65 and $10 deposit for room key and $10 deposit for Locker key. Did not get my usual room but got an smaller double room. No problems. However the Air Conditioner was not working, no towels and not so fresh. The beds looked like the linen were not changed for the day but after a small complaint and 20 mins later everything was ok.

Took a quick shower and was down. Paid the $4 for the bear as entrance fee. But here is the part where I feel the management is getting cockier and getting away with it. I came out after 30 mins to take a quick look at the SW scene and informed the guy that I am stepping out. He said no problem. Walked around the full block in less than 15 mins as I tried to go back inside the same guy stopped me and wanted another $4. I protested and another Bouncer came along and then the manager and said that the rules are every time I go out I for more than a few minutes have to pay $4 to come back in. But who is monitoring how much time do I go out for. There is not stamp, no time card, nothing. Even after informing that I was a guest at Cascadas. It did not work...

The sad part is the people on this board still tip the cum boy and the waiters. Don't tip the waiters or the cum boy anymore and they will have to pay the waiters and cum boy more money. Sure, they can raise the prices of drinks if we all stopped tipping but it would still be better since they get a salary and wouldn't bother us as much.

They are not too bad, but HK waiters can kiss my ass. 50 pesos for a beer, and watch their face as I put the small amount of change in my pocket.

All the clubs / bars are different in their own unique way and you should come out and experience what La Coahuila has to offer.

HK is what it is; the greatest show in North America. Management knows that and being well traveled, I know that. I actually spend less money in HK than the other places because I buy least fichas in HK. In the other clubs, there is not much to do but shack-up with a chica and but fichas. But this is only my two cents. When compared to any strip clubs in the good old USA, HK is cheap!

Venture out to BT, LC, CC, AB, NY, BM, and others to see and feel the difference in all the clubs!
