I completely understand your point. And if I was lucky enough to live in SoCal, I'd be right there with you. However, where I live, a halfway decent escort is $200/ hour. Add in LEO hassles, no shows, etc. Tijuana still makes sense for me.

I won't pay $100 for 20 minutes at HK. I will pay $40 for a master suite for 2 nights and I'll pay $80 max for chica's 30 minutes. The law of supply and demand is still on our side. If choice number 1 wants $100, I'll move on and have 10 other choices.

I've been visiting Tijuana and Zona Norte a few times per year for several years. Typically I visit for about 7 to 10 days each trip. Then I disappear for 2 to 4 months. I probably spend about $3000 to $4000 in Tijuana per year.

Yes, you should make a reservation if you want a master suite on a Monday or Tuesday. And then when you show up at Cascades to claim your reservation, talk to the desk person and get confirmation that your master suite reservation is still in their system and good AND the room is now available before you even mention that you possess the VIP card. Whip out the card only after they ask you to pay the regular rent (which I think is around $110 per night these days).

More than once a monger's reservation for a master suite could not be found or honored right after the desk clerk is informed the guest is seeking that 80% discount on the MS on a Monday or Tuesday night. They then cannot find an available Master Suite and you can only get one of the underwhelming singles for 80% off. That's happened to me before a few years back when I made my online reservation for a MS and stupidly added a note that I had the VIP card. My reservation went straight to the circular file.
