That's how it used to be back in the day when it was fun like you say. Now all they care about is extracting every dollar they can from dumb gringos that put up with their horrible customer service, bringing or stealing your change, and expecting us to pay the salaries of their employees instead of them paying it. I hope the whole area shuts down or better yet, the drug cartels kill every employee there: managers waiters and cum boys. What a dream.

That's a very uneducated view of things and really makes you look like a pathetic person to wish harm on people you don't know. You are basically saying that it's ok for people to take advantage of tourists since they just came and go. Where as if they take time to know you or you get to know them you might view them differently and they will view you differently.

I lived in Tijuana for many years and only had an issue once with a person that had an negative view on Americans. I remember another poster from TJA that would hang out in TB a lot and one time some Mexican guy was looking at him with anger at the bar and the guy asked what his problem was, so the Mexican guy said he hated gringos. So the American guy told him he hated Mexicans and that was it. I know for a fact that the American didn't hate Mexicans not sure about the Mexican guy but lots of people in Tijuana get jealous or have envy.

I have friends in HK that I've known for many years and have met some of their family. They always would try to help customers in the bar not just me. Now are all employees in HK honest and looking out for your best interest. Of course not but as a tourist in any part of the world it's your responsibility to be aware of not getting taken advantage of.

It's not like you buy a 12 dollar drink and you relax. You have these illiterate waiters who hover over you and ask for another drink for the girl. They are like bees. If the girl doesn't dance for you from what you guys say they don't allow anymore, what's the point. Just go to the room and pay 40.00 for 30 minutes. What a joke. I would never want to stay in that area. I'll stick to Caesars or Ticuan. I'll stick to escorts and trying to get girls to come from bars when they are off.

If you have one waiter you deal with he won't hover over you the whole time and if he does tell him not to or you'll find a different waiter. I've never had an issue with the girl dancing on me. Seen some other guy that had a girl tell him something but he wasn't buying many drinks and they were basically making out.

HK and Cascadas are easy for most guys that rarely go to Tijuana or it's the first time. You and others are describing things for vets. Vets to Tijuana usually develop a new strategy over time that makes Tijuana more affordable, some start avoiding the Zona all together while others just go the escort route. The majority of vets on this site try to push what they like instead of helping the new guys who are just trying to have as much fun as possible on their first visit without having to worry about crime. I think over time they will read more on different ways to save money or have a experience that is more suited to what they like.

I think if they are spending multiple days in Tijuana it's better to get an all night room and I really doubt a girl will go to some new guys off site hotel unless he spends lots of money on her in the bar. So you might hate HK and find it having no value but most guys visiting view it as Disneyland.

I spend thousands of dollars every time to go to HK. I go there to spend money and have a good time. I don't mind spending as long as I'm having fun. I don't speak Spanish and to be honest, I don't really care to get to know the girls. The girls used to dance for the customer after buying a drink. The whole club was getting lap dances everywhere. I would buy 5 - 10 drinks when the girl was dancing for me. The girl was dancing, I was spending, the waiter was getting tipped for bringing drinks, the girl was getting her drink tickets, and HK was making money. Everyone wins.

New management wanted to start pushing lap dances for money in the Miami room so now they often tell the girl she has to stop dancing for the customer. So for me, there is not a lot of point in buying multiple drinks for a girl that's going to sit next to me. And now they try to get $30 instead of $12 for the same thing. My favorite thing about HK was buying drinks and having fun with the girl. If she was fun, I'd take her upstairs and pay her. Since they've made changes, I spend far less in the club than I used to. Now I'll just walk up to girl, buy her no drinks, and take up upstairs. I'd rather buy multiple drinks and have fun with her. But HK has cracked down on that compared to a year ago. Changes made defeats my purpose in buying drinks. Now to be asked to pay $30 for nothing? Nope.

Now I understand how fast the girls are drinking, I just don't put the blame on the club since the girl makes more from the wine she's going to take advantage of the situation and try to make more money from her time with you and if your just spending money left and right your just a target for those looking to take advantage of you.

I think you can still have fun in HK with buying beers but I'd suggest only dealing with one waiter so you control what your spending more. Or you can party in CC which is lots of fun too.

As far as the speculation about new management and such I still have yet to see it. It's been talked about before that some guys can't have girls dance for them but myself and others have never had a problem.

So you paid $240-$300 plus tips to sit with a puta all evening? It is your money and if that is what you enjoy. Great, but I pay $200-$300 for a 10-12 hour TLN at my hotel. Your girl made about $100 in fichas. My girls make $300 cash. That always includes BBBJ and sometimes anal. I get satisfied.

And my experience with the wine scam is a little different. The first (and only) time she has that little bottle of Ripple down in about 5 minutes. She had to be enjoying your company to stretch it out. Or maybe you lost count?

Well I'd say I paid $300 to sit with a beautiful young lady all evening. Yes I'm aware of what she does as work but I've said this many times. Just because a girl is working as a prostitute doesn't mean they have to act like one. Those are the ones I enjoy talking to. Lots of girls or women look and talk like prostitutes in the US that aren't and I wouldn't talk to them either. I do enjoy talking with yong women which makes me a pervert in the US, women my own age are usually jaded and boring or they are desperate so they don't appeal to me.

I understand the better value you get with your TLN, I've done it many times in the past. That usually takes time before a girl will agree to and unfortunately I don't spend much time in Tijuana anymore like poster Nothing24 to develop that type of relationship. So when I go to Tijuana most of the time I don't find a girl that I know so I find a new girl to sit and drink with. If we go to the room that's fine but it's not my sole pursuit, I go to drink, see some friends and hopefully the time of a beautiful young lady.

I can't speak for why she sat with me all night for the small amount she made on fichas only. We were talking about a lot of different things and my experiences in life she was interested in because she might have a similar opportunity so she was asking lots of questions. We also spent time dancing which makes the drinks last longer. I always know the amount I start with and what I have left when I get back so I'm able to have a good idea on what I spent, I also have different pockets with my money so when one pocket is empty I know how much I've spent since I'm going into pocket number two.

I cancelled my March trip to Tijuana / Cascades and instead will spend 4 days in Cancun with a HK bargirl.

Tijuana is becoming overpriced.

I think the actual writing that "Toby" did on this site was more or less the same.

I know many on this site have a view that these girls are so poor and just trying to make a better life but most of them are lazy and it's easy money for the least amount of work. Mexico has thousands of poor women who go and do honest work day in and day out to provide for themselves and family without having to resort to prostitution. Lots of girls working in a place like HK want a certain lifestyle and put material things above honest work. Or they are really trying to make as much as possible to get a business of their own.

Now no matter what type of living a woman does in Mexico no type of harm should be done but unfortunately it happens in Mexico and many other countries.

Well I think the journalist was just describing things from one point of view and taking he word of "Toby" on most things instead of trying to verify many details. And as much as I appreciated "Toby" explaining what happened on this site and still feel bad for the guilt he has I think the article did a poor job as painting him as the main person that brought this guy down. It was the work of the last family that brought the issue to light more along with the work from the Zeta journalist.

I knew they finally caught the serial killer who murdered the girl referenced in the post above but didn't know until earlier today that Vice published a feature story on it a few months ago (see link above). "Toby" in the linked article was actually posting on these boards quite a bit under the username "Regias Voice" back in 2022 around this time doing everything he could to provide and gather information about the (then unsolved) murder of his girlfriend. Genuinely happy to see that his persistence in solving the case resulted in increased awareness about the murders of chicas in Zona Norte, even if it did (very unfortunately) take additional killings before authorities set the wheels in motion to make an arrest.

I know we've disagreed on this before and many on this board seem to think that HK is stealing from them some how but you know they are inflating the price because you came to them and they have a business to run. I just wonder if you feel scammed with every business you go to? If you go to a sporting event and get what they charge for things like parking, food, drinks. What about the prices at a movie theater, and now how much restaurants or even fast food charges for things.

Like others have said you can control the issue by just letting the girl know that you don't buy wine so it's her decision to drink with you. Just walking away because she orders a wine with no explanation on your part seems very childish to me and you might think she is wishing she had ordered a beer but with the way these girl mind works she's just thinking of you as a cheap person and she's better off not wasting time with you.

As for the part about girls ordering 3 wines in 15 minutes I think you might want to learn Spanish or somehow find a way for the girls to talk more. I have yet to be with a girl that didn't order a wine that lasted at least 20 minutes. Last girl sat with me for pretty much her whole shift and only bought maybe 8 or 10 wines.

Also note, they don't have to get beer. They can even get a small shot too.
