I posted from experience, 16 years ago. Did it twice. You have to convince the American consul that you are indeed the father, it's relatively a simple matter. If DNA was already done, that would simplify things even further. A child born to an American, is American, matters not where that child was born.

I believe there are certain residency requirements for the father to obtain birth right citizenship for the child. Best to do research on it.

I haven't stayed overnight in Hotel Coahuila (operating directly above Adelitas Bar on the second & third floors of the same building) in over ten years. But I think their overnight rate had held steady at around $35 until lately.

I usually stay at Coahuila one or two nights each trip. On Mon-Wed it was only $20, which is about the price of a short time room. I have no idea if this deal is still going on.

Before covid, I used to go there and look first is there was any girl worth of interest. Now they force you to buy a drink on the top of getting the risk of getting the virus; I pass; I watch them when they go outside to buy food.

Ummm. I don't know how many times you were at HK pre-covid, but they were pretty darn pushy then too. You say they "force you" to buy a drink but then say you "pass" so they are not actually forcing you unless they are actually making you leave. Don't forget, you are entering a business. It is only fair that you at least buy one drink if you intend to stay more than a couple minutes. And the risk of getting the virus is 100% on you, not them. Don't blame them for forcing you to risk getting the virus. You're the one choosing to enter a densely packed indoor space full of drunks. And why are you saying "you watch them when they go outside to buy food?" Pretty creepy admitting you stalk the meseros. Or do you mean the chicas? So you'd rather look like a creepy stalker watching them outside instead of spending $4 usd to enjoy an environment packed with chicas?

In La Zona Sunday 1 pm. HK is open again discreetly on 7th floor. Door guys were very cautious denying HKis open at all. But go to reception on North Side HK security will direct you to 7th floor. They all look scared.

Adelita and Chicago are also open with 4 or 5 girls each.

I found Adelitas Hotel Operation to be expensive $80 for a so so. Anybody having issues communicating with the site's management?

Adelitas has been terrible for about 3 years now. I am not sure what happened, but it is terrible now and declining.

Thanks for the tip. I'll pass this on to him and mom. As she was awarded child support long ago, I think there's no question of paternity. I think the main issue now may be how much paperwork (birth certificates, the support award, etc.) remains. I don't know how much got stolen but I think it was much of that. Thanks again!

So if they are now charging $80 a night, maybe they might now have their pricing in line with the demand for the small number of overnight rooms there.

For years typically they sold out of their overnight rooms almost as soon as individual rooms became available (despite having no reservation system for regular mongers).

Looks like HK is back in business and loaded with guys and girls having fun. But it is in hotel Cascada, not the old club, so the governor did not cave. HK, Adelita, Chicago are just defying his order to close.

If HK is back in Cascada then the new operation claiming to be HK in hotel Tropa last week is a new and separate operation, worth checking out. Would be nice to have new girls and more competition.

With the way Mexicans party, HK is probably open all night with girls staying after 8 AM.

The issue now is that the kid has a demonstrably true American citizen father. Somebody can correct me here, but I believe he's entitled to apply for American citizenship, no? I think he only has so much time to do it? I'm not sure he's interested, but I told mom to tell him he needs to see a lawyer.

I was pretty much under the impression that any girl in a foreign country that becomes pregnant with a gringo's child can locate some type of women's aid society or female help organization that aids them in this sort of thing. They find the guy and file a formal complaint somehow. I don't know the specific details but if a chica is smart enough she can do what is necessary and it can come back to you.

I think the days of US Servicemen getting foreign women pregnant then leaving the country forever never to return or help has been ironed out somehow. I can't imagine this being the norm these days without repercussions.

Agreed. The girl has to be smart enough, and have the "sticktoitivness" (as mom used to say) to force the issue, and continually follow up. Unfortunately, it sometimes also takes money, depending on the country and the other assistance that may be available.

I "helped" a Thai friend of a friend once. I spoke to a lawyer and simply found out her rights. The guy in question was from England, and he skipped as soon as he found out that she was pregnant. The lawyer said he could be forced to pay support but establishing paternity had to come first. At the time it was difficult to force him to submit to a DNA test. England cooperates with other countries, but the process was lengthy and relatively expensive. Hard to do for a poor farm girl working in Pattaya. Maybe not so hard for a middle-class Thai lady. In any case, I think it would be somewhat easier for a Mexican to win support from a gringo.
