A few old guys in this thread kept complaining that they were hassled by aggressive meseros, but I find them courteous and professional, if over anxious to serve the clients. One example, Friday night last week I was on the balcony on the second floor watching the soccer game on the giant TV. Lots of guys were partying with girls. Sitting by himself in a premium booth at the balcony was a guy in jean and t-shirt, with a bottle of water in his lap. He felt asleep for about an hour while I was there, and the meseros left him alone, never bothered him. After a while he woke up and left. The guys who feel they were harassed by meseros probably just don't have enough self-confidence.

Your story seems a lot different from the many other stories in of being taken into custody by Tijuana policia. Usually a bribe is suggested while all of you are still in a location close to where you were stopped, before you are driven around in a policia vehicle. Since you've indicated that you previously read reports here, were you asking to see the judge?

Well, a bribe was 'suggested', he gave $20 as an ' example '. When I said 'So the price is $20? He said you tell me. And on and on it went. I don't know whether it was amateur hour or what the deal was. In all fairness, they were pretty sound (and yes, I know that makes NO sense as a statement! As regards the 'judge', it was the first thing he mentioned - ' you can tell that to the judge'. The manner in which it was said made it 100% clear it was meant to spook us.

Are you sure you made it all the way to the front of an actual Tijuana policia station before you were asked to pay the fine or make a "contribution"? Any idea of where you were taken or how far you were driven?

It was a few minutes, and yes, it was definitely a police station.

You expressed a willingness to pay something (even though a small, non-specific amount) and yet were waived off, let go, and driven back to La Zona?

Isn't that explicitly what I said? I'm as surprised as you are. But I don't really have any reason to go telling porkies on an anonymous I-net board.

I can't honestly remember what bar it was. I think we were a couple of minutes away from ZN and walking back to it. From a 'regular' Tijuana bar. As regards whether I think its ok, we all have to take responsibility for our own actions. I don't really see it as being such a big deal (I'm guessing you're from the USA And it's viewed totally differently there than where I'm from. And that's fine) but I'm not suggesting anyone does it. Nor will I be doing it again. Hope that explains it away.

And I kept saying ' I don't want to insult you'. I think I must have wore them out. They said forget about it and drove us back to Zona.

Was reading here before I returned to Tijuana a couple of weeks back. There was a lot of discussion about the policia. Well, I managed to get myself in handcuffs whilst I was there.

Started chatting with another monger. We left a bar heading elsewhere and I guess having had a few, we decided to finish our beers along the way (yeah, I know). Got lifted for drinking on the street. On with the bracelets and into the cop car, off to the station. They had a buddy (their 'boss' allegedly) lined up for us. Outside the station when we arrived. The whole thing was being bigged up. Kept it civil. Apologised, yada, yada. Then they suggested we might want to make a contribution. I asked directly - 'how much' - and he wouldn't answer me. This went on and on. Round the houses. He kept saying what do you think. And I kept saying ' I don't want to insult you'. I think I must have wore them out. They said forget about it and drove us back to Zona Norte.

The girl probably just moved over from Adelita, where Coahuila hotel charges $12 for ST. HK's Cascada hotel charges $17 or 280 peso for 30 min with HK girls, while they charge only $5 or 80 peso for 20 minutes in the same room. There are plenty of attractive street girls who charge 300 peso or so for about the same experience as HK chicas.

$17 for ST is pretty steep for Mexico. Lots of guys complain and boycott that high room rate, making HK chicas lose business.

Girl told me it was $11 for room. Then we get upstairs and they're quoting something different. Told them they could stick it. Scrapped the whole deal..

The meseros have to rent their HK jobs, so they try hard to make it back. I just wave them off and buy directly from the bar tenders without tipping them. Those guys work on salaries and would just put your tips into the till for the boss. There are no reasons to order from the meseros when you are near the bar.

Of course they're incredibly aggressive. If there was a choice, I'd go elsewhere. But that's the way they run things in Tijuana. And particularly in HK. I order from the bar where I can (still tipping. But I rather that. And I'd rather reward normal behavior. Not aggresive efforts to shake dollars out of your pockets. That behavior shouldn't be rewarded. More of you should order a the bar. They might soften their approach (and that; s all they have to do!

Lots of guys would hangout in HK to ogle the babes, then go out the alley and bang street girls for much less money. Hotel Ibiza and Cascada are both new and nice, charging $5 or 80 pesos for ST. Hotels Mini and Garcia are also fairly clean, same rates. Ximena is the tall, athletic, pretty girl in front of hotel Ibiza, but she's stiff and expressionless, a star fish in bed.

Drinking, or appearing drunk in public, would just give the shifty policias causes to fuck with you. You probably wasted a few hours fucking around with those apes.

Yes, where they take you is pretty disgusting. With one exception. The girls outside Ibiza. Take you in there. And the rooms are clean. Cheap as chips otherwise, good return on investment.

I took a 3 or 4 day cruise on the Celebrity Millennium from Miami. It's a newer 5-star ship, the facility, food and services were truly 5 star. It's known as the single cruise because a lot of singles would go for long weekends, partying, drinking, gambling, sex etc. Just being naughty.

There were lots of single, beautiful American girls, in mid 20's to early 30's, dining alone on that cruise, looking for companies. There were lots of older women, some were still very attractive, hanging out. Quite a few women hit me up for sex.

The bros should look for these short cruises on nice ships with loads of respectable but horny girls and women, instead of taking rotten Mexican hos on leaky, infested 2-star Carnival ships, eating card board pizzas and rotten recycled macaroni and cheese.
