The ficha is her tip for sitting and interacting with you. The only time I tip a girl over and above her ficha is if I don't take her up. If I decide to leave without taking her up, I'll likely give her $5-$10 for her time. If she won't work with me on a price, I'm likely to send her away without a tip but may give her a little bit so as not to burn bridges. If she pisses me off (by ordering something without asking, or drinking too fast, or inviting another girl to sit with us), I'm probably going to send her away without a tip at all.

Got to my room and realized that the damn internet connection is nonexistent. The desk didn't speak very good English so he called over another guy who was obviously in no mood to deal with a complaint despite me being nice about the situation and told me point blank that the internet is bad around the entire hotel and there was no way.

I have changed rooms at Cascadas for different reasons.

I have always had good internet in rooms in 5th floor /6th and 7th floor. Internet has never been poor in any of my visits.

If internet is bad go to front desk. Harder for them to says no in person. Also ask for the manager and insist on a room change.

If that still fails try one more time with back reception.

The hotel has good management and I am sure they would have honored your request if rooms were available.

Decided on a quick 3 night /2 day trip to Tijuana, so I crossed the border around 5 pm this past Tuesday. Gave the MX official my printed out FMM he looked it over, stamped it, and told me to have a good time. I grabbed a taxi and took the quick 3 min ride to Hotel Pueblo Amigo. Securities, club managers, front desk guys, robe guys, room and banos attendants, hotel receptionists ect work long shift only on call for little money and deserve tips for each service. They have very good memories on who tip and who don't. I go often so I would tip them regularly, especially before Christmas holidays. Infrequent visitors don't have to tip as much. They probably won't remember who you were 6 months ago.
