Security is only doing their job enforcing club's rules. If they see you hang out long time with out buying or tipping, they would inquire. If you had explained to the security guy you already bought drinks, he would have left you alone. If he insists you leave, you can always ask him to bring in a floor manager to settle the issue. Most likely the manager would tell you you could stay.

Even on weekend when the cover is $5 for a beer, I would walk out and tell the door guy I would come back. They would never hassle me to buy another drink when I come back.

The club has lots of work rules and its workers are known reasonable. Meseros who steal or cheat, managers who rough up workers and clients have been fired. I know that floor manager rough guy Luis from East LA. There were complaints against him. He was demoted to mesero job, eventually shamed and quit the job.

Like in any country, if you think you have been wrong, always elevate the issues to higher levels of authority. Higher-level people are smarter, have better knowledge and more flexibility, so they can resolve your issues fairly.

If I was that manager I would've politely informed you that HK is a bar, an alcoholic selling establishment. Therefore if you're not buying drinks then we simply don't want you in our bar, with all due respect. And please by all means spread the word on the internet as much as you possibly can. And I would've thanked you for informing me that my security guy is doing his job exactly like he's supposed to be doing.

In that situation I would've just simply bought a beer. There have been times where I ordered a beer and didn't take one sip. I just bought it so that I wouldn't look like a deadbeat, plus I feel like I owe them at least something for being in their club. Other times I've bought water or a soda. One hint if you keep moving and don't stay in one spot too long nobody will bother you to buy a drink. HK is big enough you can kinda keep moving from one area to another. You can't really do that in the other clubs because they're much smaller spaces than HK.

Forgot to add, I have never seen guys evicted for not buying drinks, left alone being restrained forcefully by 10 HK guys. They would have to do something illegal, or against club's rules, to incur such treatment and it would have to be authorized by managers and security guys.

I was there today and checking out where the cashier had a mask on. I said do you have to wear that if you haven't been vaccinated. She said yes and she wasn't going to take the vaccine. A few weeks ago as I was exiting Adelita's some shit faced drunk guy was trying to walk into the club with a beer bottle and the door guys were trying to stop him but he was being belligerent. I quickly left not staying to watch the show, but it looked like the guy was about to be physically restrained. Maybe a ride down to Tijuana jail would sober him up and teach him to act right. Many HK goers just walk through other bars like Tropical, and when they don't find any talents, they just walk back to HK. From while ago, I use same tactics in HK as well. I've been visiting HK at least once a week past 5 years, and never had a issue for not ordering my drink when the meseros want.

When I enter the HK, Lots of greetings from mesero friends. I just do Hi five and all greetings with them. Sat down at a table and smoking and browsing. When meseros ask my drink, I just simply say "mas tarde, gracias". That's it.

Unless it is a busy day with almost all the tables are occupied, you should be ok.
